A solid and authentic diner experience! This place exactly what you should be expecting from the word, 'diner'! No, it isn't gourmet and yes the atmosphere is pretty crowded and things move fast. The fare is all-American and the menu is pretty extensive with a lot of different options to choose from! For example, omelettes, fried meat platters, burgers, sandwiches, steak, salad, pancakes, and of course ice cream! It's all booth seating for 4, with a few larger round tables in the back for larger families and groups. Each table is topped with a sticker advertising a different local business - a pretty neat idea which actually adds to the feel of the place! It's probably the most popular spot in town and packed with locals and tourists alike (mostly tourists!). However the prices are really very low with dishes like a huge roast beef dinner costing only $10.99 (Generous portion of roast beef and mashed potatoes, smothered in brown gravy; price as of April 2018). Yelpers rave about breakfast here which is arguably the best meal of the day to have here! We however didn't have that option and popped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in April (yesterday). It was absolutely packed to the gills and we had to wait around half an hour for a table for 2 (it's booth seating, so all tables seat at least 4! Being a party of 2 won't make finding a table any quicker!) When we walked in we added our name to a list and a helpful staff member gave us all the info and said it would be around 20 mins. However when she called my husband's name, another man who had just walked in, with the same name, decided to take our table, and even though she explained it was not for him, he refused to budge. That made the wait even longer but she dealt with this a*hole the best she could. The staff here work so hard! They are never still for a moment, always clearing tables, taking orders, bringing out food and still making time to interact positively with customers. Every one we ran into was kind, polite, professional and pleasant. A nice choice for a cheap and simple family meal while in Moab... Just remember that it takes a while to get a table, so be prepared to wait half an hour or so at busy times! read more

Life motto: Eat a diner, eat basic, and you can't go wrong. Well, with all the good reviews we decided to step outside our comfort zone and order the opposite of basic. I'll start by saying... The sweet water potatoes are a 5 star. GET THEM! The service is a 2 star. Our waiter was awful. He was not attentive nor did he care about our table. After he delivered our food, he checked on us but as he was asking if it was good and if we needed anything he just kept walking past our table. He didn't bother to stop and wait for an answer and we needed water! At the end of the meal, he asked if we wanted dessert. And we did given the reviews. We ask for a menu, he brings it immediately. We waited for 10 minutes for his return. Eventually, I walked up to the register to get the check. He came up to me and said, "so, what dessert do you want?" I said we've been waiting for you to come back to our table to place the order. He was unkind and rude from that point forward. The burrito is a 1 star. We asked our waiter if the chili was going to be spicy. He said it's so mild and no spice at all. Well, that was a BIG FAT LIE! The burrito was so spicy that I needed to cut the burrito and eat only the steak. My mouth was on fire. Hence why we wanted the dessert. Average diner food. Good if you want something pretty simple, generous portions, and reasonably priced. Nothing wrong about this place just don't expect amazing food, just average food. Spent a weekend in Moab and this diner was my kids favorite part. They loved the kids meal, hamburger with fries and a drink. Then they ended the meal with a kid cone. I had the sweetwater skillet, which is basically a plate of loaded potatoes. I did the option to smother it with green chiles, not the greatest of green chiles. Just an okay dish. My husband had the smothered burrito with steak. Which the steak inside for a burrito was fairly decent. The frozen taquitos on the side made me laugh, totally purchased. The rice was not that great. We were passing through visiting Moab for a little vacation. This diner was recommended to us as somewhere we need to eat when passing through Moab. We were not disappointed! The food was great and the customer service was amazing. I kid you not, we ordered and within 5 minutes our order was at our table ready to eat. We have never received customer service like that. So fast and of high quality. They even had a full house and took care of everyone great and were kind and organized. We will be coming here again and recommending it to others that we know. A charming 50 style diner right in the middle of downtown Moab! I had the fish and chips which included four pieces of halibut with fries and I also got a side of their delicious green chili it was amazing! I've been all over and had lots of orders of fish and chips but only in London did they offer halibut on the menu I can't believe they have halibut in Moab! The biscuit with gravy lacked flavor. Breakfast is a pretty easy meal so when it's not made right it makes me wonder. The service was fine. They took our order, brought our food, and dropped off the check. I guess water refills are down because of the water shortage in Utah‍. After a long day in Arches, the family was in the mood for ice cream. We dropped in around 9.50-9.55pm. The restaurant closes at "10", but they denied us service and walked us out. They did recommend we head to the grocery store if we still wanted ice cream. If you're gonna close early, at least lock the doors. I like this place. It was funny seeing how all the tables were pretty much advertisements, and I enjoyed the overall 40s/50s/60s theme of the place. It was packed and busy, yet we still received our table settings, water, and menu almost immediately after we sat down. Took a bit for the server to come take orders, but once the orders were placed the food came out really quick. In all honesty, I would not have tried this diner if I had not read the reviews first. It just doesn't look like much, could definitely use an update. But the food was great! Being in a diner, we each decided to go with a burger, we split fries and a salad. It took more than a minute for our food to come out, but that's exactly what one would expect from fresh cooked. This place had promise, but unfortunately didn't live up b to good diner food. In short, it looks better than it tastes. Biscuits and gravy came out cold, and tasted like flavorless mush. Within 10 minites, it started to settle and condensate at the too. The shakes were good, even though one was the wrong flavor. Do not order the cinnamon roll rage for pick up. Me and my uncle are visiting Moab and we ordered two cinnamon roll rages for pick up for dessert and expected what we saw on the Yelp pictures. When we picked them up and opened the box we found one cold cinnamon roll wrapped in Saran wrap and a cup of vanilla ice cream.
