Not impressed by the service here. I wasn't sure what to expect based off of the reviews on here, but my boyfriend and I just felt like we were an inconvenience the whole time. The food was fine, fairly normal diner stuff. We ordered an appetizer, it was brought with the dinner. What's the point of that? We ran out of water in our jug they placed on the table, asked for more, and the lady was so put out. Two staff were at the cash register the entire time, and they didn't really greet anyone coming in or out. No one checked on us after we received our food to make sure it was alright. Me and my boyfriend stayed in Moab while exploring Arches National Park, when we were trying to find a place to eat we decided on the Moab Grille since it was near our hotel. I ordered a 1/2 rack of BBQ ribs with mac n cheese and cinnamon buttered yams for my two sides. And it was hands down the best decision I made. The mac n cheese was gooey and delicious, and the yams were cooked perfectly. The cinnamon butter that came with them made it even better! The ribs were cooked perfectly and just came right off the bones. My boyfriend got the steak sandwich with French fries and he says it was unreal. The sandwich was served on Texas toast with steak and onions on it. The steak was shaved or thinly sliced, it was as if they took a sirloin steak and just put it on bread, simple and delicious. Service was super incredible. Our waitress was AMAZING. My food was great, we came for breakfast. I liked my breakfast burrito. My partner on the other hand did not like their meal. They ordered the french toast and it tasted spicy, like there was hot sauce on it. I'm not sure what happened, but hopefully it doesn't happen again. Overall, the experience was nice. Was in Moab, visiting the parks, stopped in the Moab Grill. It was honestly the worse food I ever paid for. I shouldn't of gotten the Burrito, it was terrible only had a couple of bits. My buddy had the fish, it was ok. The coleslaw was not good, luckily they barely gave you any. My other buddy had the Philly burger it was ok but not restaurants quality. Stopped here on a road trip for work. Everyone was super friendly. I got a new York strip steak medium rare with a baked potato and salad, it also came with Texas toast. I enjoyed all of it. I judge a steak on whether I need steak sauce or not. I don't want to use steak sauce because steaks can be seasoned well and have great flavor and steak sauce ruins it. The steak I got was seasoned beautifully. It was also cooked as requested. It was so juicy and flavorful I nearly ate all of it ( it was 8 oz, I'm small and can't eat that much). The potatoe was great and they remembered the ranch I requested. The toast was good to,.probably boxed but the middle was soft but slightly crispy and the crust was more crispy which is how I love it! My husband had a burger I wanna say it had Bleu cheese but I don't recall. He loved it! His exact words were, "that hit the spot, we gotta stop here on our way home!" One of my favorite places in town that we tried. We went here for breakfast in the morning and loved it so much that we went back for dinner that night. For breakfast, we sat at the counter and I got the breakfast burrito with a side of biscuits and gravy. One of the best meals I had while in Moab. Definitely recommend trying both. My girlfriend had the pancakes, which were fantastic too. For dinner, I got the burger topped with roasted green chile and it was super good. Just what I wanted after a long day. Great choice when staying in Moab. It is in town, but somewhat removed from the mass of eateries which were thronged by happy hour revelers. We ended up deciding to eat here every night. I love this diner and where it's at. I'm glad they have something on this side of town. My husband's food was good and so was my inlaws. Normal diner fair and great prices. My food had texas toast and the oil was rancid on it. I didn't realize what the flavor was coming from until it was too late. I'm sensitive to it, so it might not have bothered everyone and it didn't make me sick, just not good. read more

Where is the zero star button? It's not just that the food was bad but that another human could justify charging me good money for such bad food. I didn't just lose my appetite but my faith in humanity as well. School lunches have gotten much more expensive than I remember. It was a not so fun trip down memory lane biting into the previously frozen "beef" patty on my sad burger. The "chicken fried chicken" on my girlfriends plate was nothing more than a bare piece of chicken breast that had been thrown into a deep fryer (for too long) flanked by some instant mashed potatoes and frozen corn with peppers. None of us came close to eating all of our food and it wasn't because of their big portions. read more

This restaurant is under new ownership and has been given a huge face-lift since I last visited Moab a little over a year ago. Overall this establishment is a traditional looking restaurant, with nice tables and fixtures and most importantly appears to be spotless. I had breakfast and the food and service were both outstanding. The Moab Grill also has fairly decent and free wifi which is a real bonus for me. I can certainly recommend this establishment and in fact I will dine here again before leaving Moab. read more

Ended up eating here twice by myself while in Moab. Dinner both times. Smaller place, but it was never super busy. Most places in Moab were busy but I could walk in a get a seat at the 'bar' without any issue. Service was good and food arrived promptly. Has a definite 'Old Diner' feel about it (wood paneling, etc) -First night I got a bacon cheeseburget that was about 3 stars out of 5. Not horrible, but nothing nothing to write home about. Food was hot, fries were fresh, but basically an average meal. -Second time I ate there I got the steak sandwich with grilled onions, and it might have been one of best sandwiches I've eaten in a while. Quality thin steak (served as an actual steak, not the crap end of the meat drawer cut into slices), with grilled onions served on two big pieces of Texas toast. I ate all of it. Every last bit and then used the fries to mop up the juice leftover. Mmmmm, I can still taste it. In summary: 3 stars for the cheeseburger, 4.5 stars for the steak sandwich. Settled on 4 stars for having decent service, and not being packed like a bunch of other restaurants in town at 6:30 at night. I think everyone that I saw come through the door could sit right down to eat. Most of the other places I stopped in at had 30 minute waits. read more

Lucky me, Saturday's special was $1 pancakes (8" diameter?). Got 2 of those and munched off my friend's breakfast. For the both of us, breakfast was only $12. Used that 10% coupon from Big Horn Lodge and wowee, what a freakin cheap breakfast. The next morning we ate around 10am and the restaurant was poppin. So rude! I was waiting for a staff to ask if our small dogs could be on the patio. The hostess long at me and says, "what are you doing?". I asked about the is and she replies, "there's a sign that says no dogs." To which I reply, I wanted to check if that meant inside or both. She's says, "it's for you." We received one dinner and one breakfast coupon for the Moab Grill from the Big Horn Lodge where we are staying. Since it is right next door, we decided to try it out. So far we have been in twice...once for dinner and once for breakfast. Dinner: I ordered the grilled chicken with steamed veggies and a garden salad - all of it was fairly decent but my chicken breast was a little small and a little over cooked. My husband ordered the 12oz ribeye with a baked potato and garden salad. He requested medium on the ribeye and said that it was definitely served well done, a disappointment. Our waiter was somewhat attentive, but there was an air to him that you got the feeling he really didn't want to be there. Additionally, we found that some employees, (mainly our waiter and the manager - trying to figure out tomorrow's special - which happened to be what my husband ordered - and they lowered the price for tomorrow within our earshot, and then charged us the regular amount - lame!) were yelling and bantering back and forth in the back towards the kitchen which wasn't all that professional. Our waiter brought us our check without even trying to upsell us dessert which is a shame because I had overheard another waiter describing some cobbler that we probably would have ordered if given the chance. Breakfast: my husband and I both ordered the French toast...mine with bacon, his with bacon and eggs. Everything was fantastic! The ladies hosting and serving in the morning were a completely different story to the guys in the evening as well - polite, friendly, professional and smiling - even giving tourist information out to those who asked. We will return for breakfast for sure. Their prices across the board are very reasonable. So...one restaurant, two service times and completely different experiences. If I based my review solely on dinner, it'd be 2 stars...for breakfast it'd be 4. For the inconsistency and because the breakfast was so great, I'm going with 3 stars for now. Pros: Good food, great service, decent prices It was pretty easy to find a meal priced under $10. It'd also be easy to spend more than that. Not perfect, but it's a diner with good food. The chicken fried chicken was good, the "southwestern" corn that came with it pretty plain. Mashed potatoes were average. Wife had the mesquite chicken with mac and cheese and the ham and bean soup. We ate there after spending the day in Arches. The decor in the restaurant was very cool, with light fixtures made from old bike rims. The burgers were really good, very juicy, with a great balance of flavors. The french fries were house cut with unique dipping sauces. The Moab Grill was a great stop. There are not many places open in Moab on a Sunday, and this ended up being the choice for dinner. It is a quaint little place next to a hotel. Not sure if it is tied to the hotel, but parking seemed to be hard to navigate. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I had a T-bone and fries special. The T-bone was well cooked to order and didn't need steak sauce. With my meal, I had a cup of chicken noodle soup. It was delicious (and I am not much of a soup eater) and it could be seen that it was made in house and not from a can.
