My parents wanted Korean for lunch and specifically fried fish. I looked at the different Korean restaurants in Fairfield and Koreana was one that had fried fish on it. We opted for the pan fried flat fish which we really enjoyed! This is definitely more of a traditional Korean restaurant with staff and the environment. Right outside of Travis Air Force Base. If people we're stationed in Korea, this definitely is a little piece of Korea close to being on base. It was busy for a Sunday, when we got there service was a bit slow but others got their food fast. We got the Galbi hot stone bibimbap and the seafood tofu soup. The meal was large enough for me and my parents and their Banchan was really good too! Parking is super easy and plenty in this small shopping plaza.

It was about time I got to try this place after hearing so many great reviews and it did not disappoint! Even though they don't offer all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, the food is delicious and full of flavor. This spot is definitely a hidden gem right before Travis Air Force Base. The restaurant is small and cozy and the servers were very attentive and welcoming. Every dish we ordered was on point, but the standout for me was the spicy Korean fried chicken ,crispy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of heat. The crab was fresh and savory, and their selection of banchan was generous and tasty. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's worth the stop!

Worth the extra few minutes from the mall! Everything was so yummy and the staff were sweet. Can't wait to come again! Cold noodles were delicious!

Finally able to enjoy this cute little homey spot. This is tucked away in the back of a strip mall off of Air base parkway. I would've never known about if my daughter didn't come here often. Food came out quick but of course the banchan was plentiful and delicious. My families favorite was the soy glazed potatoes and their kimchi. We shared a couple of soups, wings and the kimchijeon. The soups were delicious especially on the cold night we went just enough spice with lots of meat and seafood. Our wings and kimchijeon were crispy and delicious.

A foodie friend, whose recommendations are always spot-on, suggested I try this place. I came by around 1 pm on a Sunday, and despite hearing that it gets super busy, it was surprisingly empty, so we got seated right away. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming! They checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. As for the food... the rave reviews are spot on! It's truly authentic Korean cuisine. They started us off with banchan (see photo), plus a cup of rice for each person. Here's what we ordered: Seafood pancake with green onion Korean-style deep-fried chicken with gochujang sauce on the side Galbi with tofu soup combo Shrimp fried rice Spicy marinated crab There was so much food that we had leftovers, and it was perfect for dinner later that day. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back!

Went to this place a month ago for lunc. Place is always crowded since it is located outside an Air Force base. Food is delicious and servings are generous. The banchans have free refills so that was a pleasant surprise. We had bulgolgi both spicy and not spicy. They were both flavorful and tasty. Staff is great specially the guy that was refilling our banchans. Parking is shared by other businesses but there is plenty of parking.

Family dinner out on a Saturday...my brother suggested this little Korean place of the beaten path. Although we sat down to an empty restaurant.....I'm glad we got in before the crowd hit. We had a nice women who served us and brought our food to the table pretty quickly. One section is for cooking up your food bbq style and the other front section is for cooked food served to you. We were hungry.. bypassed the cooking our food idea. The front counter was away from the dinning area, so it doesnt feel like people are staring down your throat as you decide what to order and finally eat. On the table for side condiments and dishes were things like kimchi, bean sprouts, Japchae, cucumbers in chilli sauce slightly pickled, potatoes, broccholi, etc... Combo meals were korean bbq short ribs with white rice and spicy seafod/beef/tofu soup. Another combo was Bul go gi jun over white rice and spicy tofu soup. A side order of fried potstickers and a plate ao chicken fried rice. Everthing was quite good, but it's a bit of " sticker shock" when the bill comes cause it didnt seem like a lot of food for the price. Cio for now.....

Hole in the wall near the base. Really legit Korean food! Seafood pancake is almost better than Hot Stone. The sauce really compliments it. Would come Back again 100%.

The brisket is melt in your mouth tender (tendernism as the kids say!). It also has a beautifully pink smoke ring, which is a great indicator that it was cooked perfectly. We opted for the sweet BBQ sauce on the side, which went perfectly with bread and butter pickles. They were running a whole hog special for July 4th that was equally moist and dressed with a zingy vinegar that kept it from being too heavy. The tri-tip was also phenomenal - it still had a good bite and was a rosy blush. No grey, dried out BBQ here! The side options also feel more chef driven than any old BBQ joint with options like pork belly potato salad and 816 rub curly fries with bacon aioli. The restaurant runs like a well oiled machine, you order up front and pick up your feast after you pay or wait for table service. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor patio as well, so it's a great place where furry friends are welcome. Chef Darryl Bell is serving up the best barbecue I've had probably ever - it's worth the trip from the Bay Area if you are hankering for solid Kansas style BBQ.

I wanted to do the original since if it was saucy it might lose the crunch along the way over. The biimbap was pretty good. I liked the sesame of the veggies and mix of ingredients. I'd want more of the mushrooms and greens though for the price of things. The tofu also were lightly fried with a thin starch on the outside which didn't travel well honestly. The chicken held up well though, still being crunchy. The seasoning was nice with bits of herbs shredded over it. In light of this, getting a sauce or flavor to dip things in would've been great though I don't remember if it was an option when I was originally ordering. The banchan was in a packed and worked well enough for the meal. Flavors still worked out well for the food, I'd be interested to see what the rest of the menu tastes like.

My wife and I used to be regulars at this location when we lived in Fairfield, but we had not been back in over 10 years. It was nice to see that despite all the challenges restaurants have faced over the years, this place is still thriving and as popular as ever. We were part of a group of 10, and everyone felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. We were even greeted by the owner or manager, which added a nice personal touch. The food was excellent. I ordered the BBQ chicken breast and ribs combo with two sides, and at around $23, I thought it was a great value. Living in San Jose, I'm used to BBQ meals costing significantly more. Of course, the fresh rolls with the cinnamon butter were just as delicious as I remembered. No one in our group had any complaints. The food, atmosphere, reasonable prices, and outstanding service made for a memorable family celebration. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Fairfield.

We've been to his smash burger spot in Richmond, and my parents tried his pop up back in the day over by the Crane way Pavilion (IYKYK). With country music playing, a clean and bright interior, and the sweet smells of juicy meat and sides waiting, we knew we entered the right place. We tried it all! Nachos for the table to start with deliciously diced brisket, beans, chives, cheese, BBQ sauce, and more, a loaded potato with pulled pork, meat plates including the ribs, sliced brisket, chicken, and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was amazing and done right. You could tell there was love and care in each bite, which I feel for East Bay BBQ, is important. The portions were stellar, the quality was excellent, and we enjoyed sides of corn, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. There really isn't much else to it! We sat at a long table and there were rolls of paper towels attached to it which I wish we could get our "after" pic besides just the before pics because we def got saucy! I like the innovation of the loaded nachos and potato with proteins if you don't want a sandwich or a plate..great shareables, but also great portions for your own meal (or second meal too).
