Tried their Uncle Sharkii's Poke! Yumyum! With the MangoGree Tea on the side...wish they have more toppings like mangoes cilantro or ademame...but otherwise its a good option in the area. Must try Roomy for dine in and looks pretty clean!

I went here on their Grand Opening and let me tell you this, their poke bowls were amazing! Everything tasted fresh and healthy! Would definitely visit again when I'm in the area. I got the Uncle Sharkii and it did not disappoint! Their boba was also good and had the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth !!

So I asked for the ahi & salmon poke bowl & asked to just have all salmon instead because I really love salmon & she was able to make that adjustment to my meal which I find really cool. I order a salmon poke bowl & a strawberry black tea with boba. The person who was assisting me added a generous amount of salmon poke(thank you person cuz I absolutely love salmon) into my bowl & you can customize your bowl with their selected toppings & sause which I really like. I gotten the half rice half salad with sesame mayo with all the toppings. The poke bowl was filling & delicious. As for the strawberry black tea, I really like this drink it was really refreshing & the strawberry flavoring really pairs perfectly with my poke bowl. I do want to say that this drink is more on the sweeter side than most bobas I had elsewhere, so if you like super sweet fruity boba I do recommend getting this drink.

Already loved Ayemi's for the food, but tonight they earned 5 stars for the customer service too!…read more I ordered through DoorDash and was missing the TWO sushi rolls I was most excited about. Rather than assume who was at fault, I called the restaurant to see if my driver had possibly left a bag behind. Neil, who is part owner, immediately looked into it. Within 5 minutes, he reviewed their camera footage and confirmed my driver had been handed THREE bags but I only received one. Mystery solved. Definitely a DoorDash driver issue, NOT Ayemi's. But here's what really got me: even though it wasn't their mistake, Neil offered to REMAKE my missing rolls and PERSONALLY deliver them to me. And I live far enough away that DoorDash charges me a long-distance fee! I declined because DoorDash had already refunded the missing items, and I wasn't about to double dip or make Neil drive all that way for something that wasn't his fault. But THAT is customer service. As for the food: Ayemi's has become one of my go-to spots. Their sushi rolls are JUMBO for the price of regular rolls, ingredients are fresh, everything is tasty, and my son loves their poke bowls. Is it fancy, elevated luxury sushi? No. Is it fresh, generous, affordable, and consistently satisfying? YES. Great value, lots of options, and now I know there are genuinely good people behind the business too. Thanks, Neil!

I walked in expecting sushi…read more What I didn't expect was to discover what might be the best shrimp tempura roll yet. Like many sushi regulars, I've gotten used to the quiet arithmetic of ordering: one roll usually isn't enough, so you order two, sometimes three, and suddenly what began as a casual meal turns into a financial decision. Then I noticed something interesting on the menu: a jumbo-sized shrimp tempura roll. Curiosity won. Ayemi's jumbo portion is roughly twice the size of a typical roll, yet priced around what many places charge for a regular one. Naturally, I had to try it. The first bite had everything you want from good tempura sushi. The shrimp was crisp and light, not greasy. The rice was soft and balanced. But there was also something else...a subtle flavor running through the roll that I couldn't quite identify. Not overpowering, just a pleasant note that made each bite feel a little more intriguing than the last. Perhaps a touch of fusion. Perhaps a house seasoning. Perhaps just careful attention to balance. Whatever it was, I was hooked. The textures layered beautifully: warm tempura crunch, cool rice, and that mysterious flavor that kept me going back for another bite. And another bite. And another bite... And here's the rare part: the jumbo roll was actually enough. For once, I didn't feel the need to order a second roll just to feel satisfied. The pricing was so fair that it left room to do something I always appreciate being able to do: tip the gracious hosts generously. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. It was as if they welcomed me into their home and seated me at their family dining table to break bread with them. While I was enjoying the meal, the restaurant slowly began to fill. Then it filled some more. Soon the room had that lively buzz of a place locals clearly know about. That's always a good sign. Great food has a way of revealing itself in real time. By the time I finished my meal, the place was packed. And honestly, I wasn't surprised. When a restaurant serves food this good at prices this fair, word gets around.

The place was pretty busy with tables mostly occupied. We were ordering to go and the wait was about 10 minutes or so. We both got the poke bowl and these are the steps. 1. Select a base - Sushi rice, Brown rice or Spring mix salad. 2. Select 2 flavors. There are about 12 options of Ahi, Salmon and Shrimp. It was my first time and I always like to go with their recommendations, which is Furikake Bomb Ahi and Salmon Bomb. Great names because they were bombs! 3. Select Loaded Options aka toppings! I like that you pick a style which includes a set of toppings, instead of selecting the toppings individually. I bet that saves a lot of time. We both got the Delilah's Style which has seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab, wonton chips, edamame, mangoes, massago, furikake and unagi sauce. If you like it spicy, I would get the Tropical Style with spicy mayo. Ahi and Salmon were fresh with mild (but tasty) seasoning that's not too much that you can still taste the fish. I absolutely love the wonton chips. This is not the typical wonton chips. Incredibly crunchy and thicker pieces. The toppings are vibrant, fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Next time I go back I want to try the sushi wrap and musubis. This is a hidden gem in Davis.

The customer service was really above and beyond too. I asked for a recommendation and the person working took the time to ask how hungry I am and if I want spicy food to really tailor a recommendation to what he thinks I may enjoy. I was also offered water. The food came out fresh and super quickly! They included chopsticks and napkins in a cute branded paper bag. The poke was really good! I think for the basic mexi Cali poke it was $19.90. The portions are definitely worth the price! There's also the option for add ons. The fish was very fresh. They have more than just poke! They have hot items too. I'd like to come back soon to try the loco moco or other items for a weekend brunch!
