For me, I put spicy scallop and salmon in mine. The service is smooth-sailing with friendly workers. The ambiance is not too loud, not too quiet. Sometimes, I'll see teens in the restaurant for their boba fix, because apparently you can get boba here too. I hope to come back soon. read more

The baked bowls take about 15 mins to prepare so make sure you order some spam musubi to get you by until your food is ready!! It's a combination poke and boba shop! The shop itself isn't split. So you order whatever you want with any of the employees. The interior is clean with some seating. I didn't see any outdoor seating. This day I ordered one of the preset poke bowls (the one with scallops, and clams, and shrimp). One of the things I like about this shop is the huge variety of in the poke bowls. I think of the three poke shops in town this one has the most options. They even have soba noodles as a possible base! Most places only offer rice, salad, and maybe brown rice. The selection of protein was also larger than most. If raw seafood isn't your thing they have a couple options for cooked bowls too. The only semblance of a complaint I have is the bowls were packed so much I had trouble mixing it up to eat. Tonight, I'm at Poké Ichii in Vacaville. This is a custom made Kizami bowl, with all the fixings. What I like about this location, is they gave me Soba Noodles as an option for the base. It consists of Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Yellowtail Himachi, Seared Salmon, Kizami Wasabi, Wasabi Shoyu, Green Onion, Wakame, Masago, and Edamme. All the Fish were underneath, all those Veggies. So I had to give it a Mix, with a Fork. The Seafood was really fresh. This a healthy, and balanced meal. And I can taste, the Wasabi, it was a nice touch. The large bowl is 20.95 and i did a build your own bowl which includes 5 protein choices which is a great price for what it is. The staff was nice and the food was decent but almost $20 (tax included) for a small Poké bowl (the "regular" size AKA 3 scoops protein) is kind of costing too much. The scooper they are using is so small too like if I were to guess how much protein I actually got, I would say 1/4 cup size. 1/3 cup is being generous. The brown rice wasn't cooked that well and the veggie part of the base was mostly cabbage. I prefer spring mix for my poke bowls. read more

Yesterday I witnessed something that was completely wrong at this establishment. First let me say I've been coming to this place since they opened. My wife loves the salmon bake, myself and my kids love the fresh ahi and the spicy ahi. Food is great. But after yesterday and how i felt was completely ashamed to be supporting a business with bad decisions towards a black mother with kids who needed to use the restroom. I paid for my food and my wife's poke bake usually takes about 25 mins to cook. So as I was outside eating a black mother walks Into the establishment she has 2 kids with her and they start to order food. Kids were playing mother ordering food. I get up and go sit inside to wait for my wife's food. Black mother is at the register and asked the cashier if she could use the bathroom. The owner who was not apart of any conversation cuts the employee off and says "the bathroom is out of order" the woman said okay. 3 mins go by and another woman walks in and orders food. She say to the cashier can I use the restroom. They open it up for her as the black mother is standing there. I could not believe what I just seen with my own eyes. The owner looks up and then you can see he's now thinking to himself "damn, that's going to look bad" If the bathroom was truly out of order he would have said oh sorry it's broken like he told the black lady. But he let the woman use the bathroom and then the black woman used the bathroom afterwards. I felt bad because I watched the entire scene play out within a 5 minute span. As the mother went into the restroom I went over to the oldest child and gave her $50 and said to make sure your mom gets this. They waved to me as I got onto my Harley. That will be the last time I ever step foot into that establishment. I told my wife what happened and we didn't even finish the food. We threw it away and made dinner at home. read more

I thought it was pretty expensive for the bowls here, but in comparison to another poke place in Vacaville then I'd say this place has more bang for your buck because you get a bowl with the choice of 5 protein scoops for 20$. I believe I saw another place selling a bowl with only 2 proteins for 15$. They have a good variety of protein and add-ons. Nothing like ordering a smoothie (Rare Tea) and poke bowl (Poke Ichii) for dinner and enjoying it!! Random choice for dinner, but, was satisfying nonetheless. I opted for building my own bowl in a large (5 scoops of protein vs 3 scoops that comes with a regular). I was pretty hungry! With build a bowl you choose: the base, protein, toppings, and sauce I don't remember all I put on my bowl (I filled it up!), but, it was so damn good! It was a mix of sweet and savory to balance the sweet taro smoothie I bought from Rare Tea within this same restaurant. When I arrived, there were no customers. I was able to take my time with deciding what I wanted in the bowl. The employee helping me was pleasant and helpful answering my questions. Poke Ichii in Vacaville is next to the freeway across the street from Home Goods and Nordstrom Rack. This lovely store has a comfortable dining room and a wide-open outdoor dining area. They have a good selection of poke bowl choices, and the workers there are very friendly. They have quick service and yummy food. The parking lot is clean and safe, and easy to get a parking space in front of the restaurant. This is one of the good choices in the area. read more

Started frequenting this poke spot after Okashi across the street closed down. Generally speaking, the service and food are good. Their wonton chips are... different. A couple of the sauces we tried are too sweet, but most are good. Every time we've visited the fish seemed fresh. Menu could, however, use addition of a bowl size between kids and regular, as kids gives too limited of a selection and they don't split the protein to chose half-scoops, while regular is too big of a portion (the half-bowl at the other place used to be our go-to). read more

Excited to get some poke here because we had a good experience with the one located in DOCO Sac. The service and ambiance were fine, but one change turned the entire experience on its head. I'm not sure if it's a location difference or the chain as a whole changed their soba noodle, but boy was I disappointed. The texture of the soba noodles (the base and the unique part of Poke Ichii compared to other spots) was off, and the entire meal became subpar. We also did a side by side comparison with a poke place across the street and while the quantity here was greater, you can differentiate the two by the quality of the fish. read more

It was good. I recommend them. I have come back several times. I walked in and it was empty because it was past lunch time but the floors were wet and were just mopped. The smell of the liquid or chemical they used was powerful like pine sole which was unpleasant for me because it ruins my appetite and it makes me want to gag, it's just the way I am, I hate strong chemical smell around my food. They have bathroom for customers only which is nice now that they let people use the bathroom. The Bobba milk tea was excellent. I wish the fish quality was better today, like maybe put the raw fish inside the freezer when there are no customers instead of it just sitting there with the open air that is room temperature, the fish on top of the container is drying out. Or maybe have lids that cover the raw fish so it's not just sitting there. read more

My daughter recommended this place and I was very pleased. The service was wonderful. They were very patient with my trying to figure out what I wanted. One of my kids got the poke bake and she really liked it. I got a large bowl and it was quite filling. My other daughter got a large as well and was unable to finish it. When I unpacked the food, we were missing one bowl. My bowl. I called and a young lady answered. I kindly explained what happened and she said she'd get her manager, Conner or Conrad (something like that). Without muting the phone, she explains the situation to him. He shouts out to someone else asking about my order. Then he gets on the phone and says "Four bowls and a sushi bake? Yeah, I'm pretty sure we put them all in the bag" I told him that I was sure they didn't since I was looking at the order and it wasn't in there. He had an attitude and repeated himself. It was a WTH moment for me cause I just spent over $100 on out dinner and I'm telling them they missed one. I did not appreciate being accused of lying... over a poke bowl? He then said "We will make it for you. You gonna come pick it up?" Uhhhh yeah, I paid for it. There was never an apology for their mistake and our inconvenience. Even when my husband drove all the way back to get it, the manager just pointed at the bag and told the girl working "Its over there." My husband and I sat down to eat together once he got home as everyone else was starving and ate already. As he was eating... he discovered that they didn't even get his order right. He had salad instead of sushi rice. Sorry to see them headed downhill. Customer service means a lot to me. The errors are annoying but we would have accepted an apology and given them another chance.
