The first thing Ive noticed was how clean is their restaurant. I like that. The lady was very nice as well. Now the food was fresh, delicious, moist and a good portion. I ate only half and I was so full. This is my new favorite Hawaiian restaurant now in Vallejo/American Canyon.

Such good value, and super low prices! Definitely will be back next time I'm in town! 10/10

Ordered a couple times with door dash. Their portion is huge! I ordered the chicken combo and they came with 4 big pieces of chicken. The katsu is crispy! We also tried their spam musubi. However we thought the rice is too much to the proportion of the spam. But they are tasty!

This place is good, but if you're local to the area, we know nobody can compete with Got Plate Lunch in Benicia for island food. Read more if you're an island girlie and also need an authentic review for taste. I liked everything at Moana from the service, to the value and price and overall taste. And I'll emphasize value again! Where can you get a Mini Hawaiian plate with A LOT of meat for only 9.95?? Mini Kalua pork - 9/10 The smoked flavor was just right. The meat wasn't dry. The steamed rice was cooked properly. I'm alright with cabbage. Odd to get a steamed brocolli though,I mean I like veggies so it's cool but not typical. Mini chicken katsu - 9/10 Again good amount of portions. Maybe more breading but that's okay, that seems to be the usual these days. BUT I don't think this establishment has "katsu" sauce. We broke out our Japanese bulldog sauce at home. Loco moco - 7/10 Also agree with other yelpers that the gravy isn't enough and the color and taste of gravy isn't on point. Also the egg wasn't runny, but fully cooked through. My son was sad when I tried to prick the egg yolk and nothing happened. Ambiance is a quick to go spot with some tables if you want to dine in. But it's like your typical Hawaiian drive in for fast food! Customer service was good, they're friendly. Again this place is popular for walk ins, takes, door dash and more! They got the food business down!

I have been here four times and it has been excellent each time. From the combos to the family meals, the food has been on point. Great flavor, generous portions and friendly service. Some of my favorite dishes are the Kalbi Short Ribs, Katsu Chicken and the Mac salad is addictive. I recently visited the Hawaii and I honestly thought the Mac salad was better than in Hilo, no joke! The only downside is the restaurant like a lot of good places in Vallejo is in a sketchy strip mall. But, it's worth the trip.

The best Hawaiian BBQ in Vallejo in my opinion. I bring all my friends and family here and they have all loved it! Staff is always welcoming.

Quality/Quantity - Got two orders of chicken musubis (four pieces total); see picture. Overall good flavors. Generous amounts of rice... See picture. Generous sauces; see pictures. But they only gave me one fork...? I guess she thought I was going to eat all 4 musubis...? Catering available; see pictures. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Counter service. Plenty of tables. Most customers seemed to take to-go; including me. "Hidden" restroom; see pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10:30am to 8:30pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good, very efficient. I think when I sat down, my food was already ready, lol. Price - $12; reasonably priced for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since July of 2024. We are regular customers at your San Leandro location also.

Decided to stop by and what what this place is all about. Walk-in to a nice Hello! Place was very clean. I ordered the short rib plate. Great flavor. It was almost too hot to. Touch. Portion was generous. Good flavor. Food came out very quickly and I not the only one there. I'll be back to try other things.

New Hawaiian BBQ spot located in the Seafood City plaza in Vallejo! The prices are all really fair and the portion size is huge. We got the laulau and kalua pork. The pork & taro leaves in the laulau was really tender and flavorful! The kalua pork was a bit on the drier side, I also wish they shredded the cabbage and mixed it throughout the dish rather than giving whole cabbage leaves under the pork. The mac salad was tasty and not too saucy. This spot satisfies my Hawaiian BBQ cravings and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

They aren't kidding about generous portions! Each combo meal would likely be enough protein for 2.5 meals! We came here on a whim after the gym. I will admit the location isn't the nicest looking. But there is plenty of parking and the food is worth the trip! The food was delicious and so reasonably priced! We ordered the moku chicken combo plate and the aloha bbq combo plate. Those are the two most popular. They also have a large selection of Hawaiian sun. Three drinks and the two combo plates came out to about $37. The food is all packaged in a to-go container complete with utensils and condiments. But there is seating if you just can't wait to get home to dig in. The ambiance is very casual. It looks mostly like a grab and go set up. The chicken was moist and flavorful! My aloha bbq plate had two large pieces of the short ribs, two large pieces of chicken breast, and another protein on top of rice, Mac salad, and some cabbage and broccoli. The moku chicken plate came with at least two large pieces of katsu chicken and also the bbq chicken. The owner was also very sweet. She asked if we were cold because the door was opened and offered to close it. If you're in the mood for Hawaiian bbq give Moana a try! I'll definitely be back at some point to try more.

    A mountain of Chicken Katsu炸鸡

My partner and I stayed in a hotel down the road and I found this place on Yelp. Wow! What an experience. Not only is the food excellent quality, they are extremely generous of their portions. The curry sauce was delicious. I also tried the teriyaki and katsu sauce (I'm a saucy gal) and every single one of them was super yummy! Truly one of those occasions where you're sad when you get full. To make the experience even better, the customer service was supreme! The woman working there checked on us multiple times and was ready with a to-go bag when we were finished eating. Prices are very fair and this is definitely going to be my new go-to place next time we're in town.

I ordered the BBQ Chicken plate and swapped the rice for an extra serving of macaroni salad. I usually go with the mini, but for only about $3 more, the regular plate at $13.50 was an excellent value, with more than enough food for one meal. The BBQ chicken was the star of the plate, juicy, flavorful, and finished with a beautifully caramelized glaze that delivered just the right balance of sweetness and char. The macaroni salad was fresh and creamy, though not quite as sweet as I've enjoyed at other L&L locations, which is simply my personal preference. Most guests would probably never notice the difference. I also appreciated the finely shredded cabbage, which added a crisp, fresh contrast to the richness of the meal, different from other locations where it is steamed leafs. I'm glad I dined in because my plate initially arrived without the teriyaki and katsu sauces. I enjoy alternating between the two with each bite, and one quick request was met with friendly smiles as both sauces were promptly brought to the table. The restaurant was clean, the service was warm and efficient, and there was a steady stream of customers throughout my visit, a good sign that this location has earned a loyal following. If you're looking for generous portions, excellent value, friendly service, and a satisfying taste of the islands, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue in Vallejo is definitely worth the stop.

The only withdraw to this establishment is that there aren't many veggie options however that's not why you go here you go there because you want that macaroni salad with some rice and a protein with some katsu sauce. If that's not what you want to eat that day then I think you better choose otherwise plus your food is gonna be cheap-and you're probably gonna eat on it for two days

Agedashi Tofu, no bonito flakes. Comes with 8 tofu slices. And be warned, it's super hot so be careful. Don't burn your mouth. Comes with a dipping sauce, but ask for a teriyaki sauce. The dining room is modern, clean, and inviting, with high ceilings and plenty of seating. While I was initially surprised by the wait since I was the only customer, the restaurant quickly filled with diners and takeout orders, making it obvious this place has built a loyal following. I ordered the new Wonton Ramen Soup, spicy and an order of lumpia. As a ramen fan, I can honestly say the broth was outstanding, rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The generous portion was loaded with fresh bok choy, perfectly cooked egg, green onions, and large wontons, creating a delicious fusion of classic wonton soup and ramen with a Tonkotsu broth. I also appreciated the oversized ladle-style soup spoon, which made it easy to enjoy every sip of that incredible broth and every bite of the fresh ingredients. The lumpia was crispy and good, but fairly standard. My only disappointment was the packaged sweet and sour sauce. A house-made dipping sauce would have paired much better with the quality of the food. The restaurant itself was very clean, but I'd recommend moving the bussing cart with used bowls, plates, and trash to the back of the kitchen. It's a small detail, but keeping it out of guests' view would make the dining room feel even more polished and inviting. Overall, Ramon 101 was good. Great broth, fresh ingredients, generous portions, make this a place I'll definitely return to. It's easy to see why the locals keep coming back.
