Security guards started to harass customers now by asking for their receipts. Who they think they are, Costco? I didn't sign anything to be harassed like that. I had both hands full from the counter and told the security that my receipt is inside the bag. he still wants to see it. No way. I walked away!.

Today 4/9/2024, my husband and I went to Seafood City. My husband bout 2 Florida avocados. One was ready to eat and the other was sort of not ripe yet. The price for each avocado was $3.99 each. My husband cut open the avocado that was ready (ripe) to eat. When he cut it open it was rotten in some spots. I called Seafood City spoke to someone. She put me on hold and we got disconnected. I called back from 2 different cell numbers and it rang and rang. No one picked up. I called about 4 times from each cell. Guess the person didn't want to talk to me anymore after I asked for the manager

Had them fry my 2 fish today when i got home the fish was still raw and look for how they slide fish to fry it's not like that I don't want to give them 1 star but I have no choice. Because yelp they not have ZERO STAR. Will never go there buy fish again.

It's probably the biggest Seafood City I've been to. Hubbers wanted a homecooked meal for dinner. It was pretty convenient as I had another errand to run not too far away. I figure everything I needed was most likely going to be available here. (They were.) I was fascinated as I walked in. The first thing I noticed is the grill area - it was huge with plenty of choices for cooked food! Good to know! I got the chance to walk around a bit. This store is pretty open and very airy. Every aisle I walked through was organized, clean and roomy. (This is a first - for a Seafood City - for me!) The meat and fish areas were the same. I swear, I think this might be the cleanest SC I've been to! I'm impressed to say the least! If I didn't live over the bridge, I'd be here more often! But really happy to know it's here. It's a definite stop to make should I be around this 'hood again.

Get your Filipino food here! The only negative is that it can get expensive as far as the prices go on certain products.

To start, I ordered the fried chicken wings, and to my surprise, they weren't even hot when served. The texture of the meat inside also made them seem old or not freshly made, which was not a great first impression. For the main meal, I had the BBQ beef plate with egg, spring roll, and shrimp. The biggest issue for me was the rice -- it was unexpectedly hard, and the entire plate arrived cold. I honestly couldn't believe it because who wants cold food, especially for the first meal of the day? The shrimp was also extremely salty for my taste, to the point that I only managed to eat one piece and left the other two untouched. The beef and egg were okay, but it was hard to fully enjoy them because the food overall lacked freshness and warmth. I really wanted to like this place given its ratings, but sadly this first visit left me disappointed.

On 4/14/26 at 6:45pm I placed an order with this establishment. After receiving my food, I encountered an issue with my order. I called the restaurant to address the problem and seek a resolution. When my call was answered, the employee did not initially identify herself. I had to ask for her name, at which point she stated her name was Jasmine. I found it unprofessional that she did not provide a basic introduction when answering the phone. I then requested to speak with a manager regarding my complaint. Jasmine refused to provide the manager's name when I asked, which immediately raised concerns about transparency and accountability. After insisting, I was eventually transferred to the manager. Once the Manager came to the phone his introduction was bag o crab, I asked for his name. The manager refused to provide his name when asked. For appropriate customer service and documentation purposes I needed to know who I was speaking with but he continued to refuse. Shortly after I requested his name again, the manager rudely refused and hung up on me.This behavior was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. At no point was I provided with assistance, or any effort to resolve the issue with my order. This experience demonstrated a complete lack of customer service, accountability, and professionalism. Refusing to identify oneself as a manager and hanging up on a customer attempting to resolve an issue is unacceptable. My order was horrific. My experience was horrific and I wasted my money.

Here are the things we liked and also one little critique from something that changed from then to now: Salt and pepper pork chops: these are super good. Nice and crispy and the pork is tender. Salt and pepper fish: I always go for salt and pepper fish anywhere I go and this by far is the best one! Mapo Tofu: they do it really well here. It's perfection and hubby's fav Siu Mai: definitely great! Would get again for sure. We don't have dim sum in Vallejo so this amazing that they have this. Dry beef chow fun: now, I have been on the hunt for chow fun that reminds me of my childhood and what we used to get in SF/chinatown. This was the closest! The first time we got it, omg. Mind blown!! We got one other time before things changed. The third time we got it and even this evening, it's not the same for sure. I have a knack for remembering taste and this is not the same anymore. If anything it tastes spicy in a way they added more black pepper? Something in there is giving it that flavor. It's also darker than before like more soy sauce. I'm a little sad by this. Probably the last time I will get it. I got it tonight in the hopes it would go back to normal and the last time was a one off. Sadly it was not. The guy owner (I think he's the owner) is really nice and welcoming. If you read this, please fix the chow fun :(

Just about everything here is made to order (fish, wings, pretty much the whole menu), so patience is part of the deal when ordering at the counter. If you're in a hurry, calling ahead or using DoorDash is always an option. For lunch, I ordered a 2-piece catfish with collard greens and candied yams to dine in, plus a chicken wing and fish combo with fries to go. One thing I really appreciated was that they didn't fry the to-go order at the same time as my dine-in meal. That meant everything was piping hot and fresh when I walked out the door. The catfish is my usual go-to and it never disappoints -- perfectly fried, well seasoned, and consistent every time. The kind of seasoning that makes you feel like someone's uncle back there is cooking from the soul. The collard greens are tender, flavorful, and always hit the spot. And the candied yams? Honestly more like dessert than a side -- sweet, comforting, and absolutely worth ordering. Yes, it can feel a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and flavor make it worth it.

We were not asked what parts we wanted and ended up with very large wings. A hickup with the gumbo. In our opinion it was too thick like thick gravy. Not pourable to mix well with rice. We added water and reheated. It also had a crab arm\ pincher that needed to be cracked. If we didnt have a tool at home we would have had to discard the crab uneaten. Potato salad was great as was the pecan pie. I wanted to give this place five stars because of the workers enthusiasm about their business. I hope I can convince my wife to go back.
