This is a hidden gem located at a small town of Benicia. It is a grab and go authentic poke spot that has fresh, well-made, lots of variety poke ingredients. I love the salmon it tastes so fresh and the bowl I got is so flavorful. They have a neat, clean area. Excellent customer service from Seth and other staff I forgot the names. They are open only during the weekdays. Limited seating, it's more on to-go only in my opinon. One of my good friends recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Hubby and I both got large bowls with seaweed and crab salad as our side and 1/2 rice 1/2 greens as our base. The fish is FRESH. I go to Hawaii every year and this is the only spot that has come close for. It was easy to order and I loved the specialty juices and sodas to pair with out meal. I got the coconut water and hubs got a canned coffee that was surprisingly tasty. When I walked in I was a little bummed that there's limited seating, but it's a 5 minute drive away from Benicia Marina where you can eat your bowl with a view. Very clean, well organized and owners are very friendly and welcoming! I got some help choosing a couple bowls to take home and share with my daughter. Stopped by this place on the way up towards Sacramento. It seems to be a local favorite. The quality was great. The place is decorated so cute and although it's small, the place feels so homey. I built my own poke bowl with tuna and salmon (all time faves) and my brother got the same but added spicy scallops as well. The portions were pretty big and they absolutely do not skimp on their toppings as well. When I got home, I was so excited to try the bowl and when I did, it hit me beyond my expectations. The poke melted in my mouth and the toppings complemented the fish so well. Ever since I went, i've been dreaming of this poke bowl and have been wanting to go back. Wow! I am so happy that a friend recommended this place to me and also so sad that it this long to know a good poke spot was so close to us all along.. It's a small place (no tables indoors and a round table outside with two seats), but it is super clean, the staff are SO FRIENDLY, the fish is fresh and the poke is legit. I made my own bowl with limu poke, spicy tuna and tako and it was delicious. Their limu poke was my favorite. The portions are big and they put a lot of care and thought into creating the perfect bites for you. The lady who took care of us had amazing hospitality and service and really crafted our bowls for a great experience! And it's not even a sit down restaurant. Everything was distributed nicely (you know how sometimes you order a burrito and the top half is rice and the bottom half is beans and meat only in some places because of the way it was made/wrapped? this was the complete opposite!) the sauces were great and full of flavor. This poke place is sadly closed on the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday. That made it hard to find a time to be able to try it during the week. Hopefully they consider switching the days off in the future. It's such a shame because the poke is very fresh. The portions were pretty generous as well. I ordered the house poke bowl with a rice base. I think the pricing is fair. The service was very friendly. You could tell they have regulars already. It's a lovely addition to the community. Cute Hawaiian theme. They have a board where local businesses can leave their business cards. Love to see small businesses supporting each other. Note: The GPS was confused trying to find this location. The parking is also limited for this particular lot. I've been getting my nails done next door for years, located in the same plaza as Nations, it can get pretty busy but there's always parking. Small store front but very welcoming and cozy. The workers are super inviting, friendly, and helpful. You have plenty of options to choose for. I opted for the signature house bowl which comes with tuna, salmon, seaweed salad, crab salad, cucumber, green onion, house sauce. I chose half brown rice and vegetables/greens for my base. The worker also helped elevate my bowl with some ponzu sauce, sesame seeds, and garlic flakes. I devoured my bowl so quickly! There isn't any seating indoors, but there's a fro yo spot a couple of doors down with outdoor seating , maybe get something for dessert if you want to eat it outside quickly or there's a park across the street. What started as a upbeat visit quickly became sour. A young lady gave us a nice greeting and maybe if she was our server things may have been better, but the guy with the glasses who helped us quickly educated us that this place is all about charging for anything and everything and even though we initially had no problem ordering extra, it almost felt like he was counting the kernels of corn, slices of pineapple that were added. Watching him wield the tongs to get as little as possible at the very tip was an exercise in frustration. I don't know who helped people who said their bowls were piled high cause ours barely meet the rim and that's after requesting extra. We might give it another shot, but not anytime soon. read more

My fiancé came across Benicia sushi company on Instagram and had an amazing opportunity to work with them. Just a little backstory, Benicia poke company is a family owned restaurant ran by two sisters that opened in September of 2023. We met Linda and Mickey who were both super nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable about everything poke! If I'm not mistaken, this might be the first poke spot in Benicia! They are located in a small plaza by benicias popular 1st street. Parking was limited but be patient because this place is totally worth it. The location itself is a bit small so there are no tables or seats to eat at inside, but there is a beautiful park just minutes away, so take advantage and enjoy your poke outdoors. They have three signature bowls you can order from if you are indecisive but I suggest you create your own bowl. I ordered a regular bowl which comes with two scoops of your choice of protein. I ordered brown rice for my base, and salmon and tuna for my proteins topped with seaweed salad and crab. For my mix, I chose cucumbers, edamame and green onions in combination with their house and ponzu sauce. My Poké bowl tasted amazing! The fish tasted super fresh and was so buttery like sashimi. All of the sauces complemented each bite along with their fresh ingredients. Their portions were huge and definitely filled me up. Prices were fair in comparison to other poke places we've been to around the bay area. Definitely give this place a try if you're craving a delicious and refreshing poke bowl. read more
