We needed a little pick me up of sweet goodness & caffeine after lunch & ended up at @mobaybeignetco. Ordered the 12 piece beignets (they only have 2 options - 3 or 12... could have done 2 orders of 3 now that I think about it!!! ) & a cafe au lait. Along with some buttercream caramel & cinnamon caramel for dipping... Little did I know these things were mega size! We were surprised at their portions!!! I could instantly feel my soul dance around in happiness (or was that my heart slowing down with all the sugar intake?!?!? ‍). Jaclyn opened the cutest location with the most phenomenal beignets you could ever ask for. Probably one of the best beignets I've ever had, they are the perfect amount of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They literally melt in your mouth. She also sells a couple syrups to dip theses pieces of heaven in, and I can say that it just puts it over the top. We tried the buttercream syrup and it was perfect. You have a few beverage choices: glass bottled cokes, coffee, and a cafe au lait that is ahh mazing. Compliments the beignets perfectly! Her space itself is a super cute, open, lots of seating, great soundtrack in the background; just the perfect atmosphere. We just moved to the area and this is within walking distance to our home. I was so thrilled because I've not had a beignet since NOLA in 2019 and my husband has never had any. Wonderful experience. They are located in a quaint building with indoor and some outdoor seating. Very simple. The beignets were much bigger than we expected so as we never tried them before we ordered 12! Way too much for three people. One per person or two at the most would be recommended. The dipping sauces were excellent. We liked the cinnamon the best then buttercream. The lemon was OK. We are "heavy dippers" so I suggest one sauce for every 1-2 beignets. We learned the hard way. They are messy with lots of powdered sugar. Use a napkin on the table to catch the fall off!! Use the general sink in the back when done. read more

Mo' Bay Has to be one of my favorite late night Quick stops for a sweet treat. I will say be prepared, because powder sugar will fall all over you if you're a messy eater, all jokes aside I really do enjoy this place. I love what this place does for the community and I love how they're just starting to open new locations. The service here is phenomenal, they cook your beignets as soon as you placed the order so they're fresh. But late one evening after a show at the Saenger, a friend & I decided to pop in. The atmosphere is farmhouse cozy with a touch of modern. A little loud for my liking but it was also on the weekend. I don't particularly love places where you stand in line & wait on yourself but since it's just dessert, it's doable. When I sat down to take my first bite, my mouth was in awe. I began to drool a little just out of the corner of my mouth. My tastebuds couldn't believe it. Could it be that this was REALLY a better beignet than Cafe Du Monde? Blasphemy! It's not possible. When I saw the puppy beignets at the door I knew these guys were going to be the bomb. I was right, the beignets were hot, crispy, light and generously dusted with powdered sugar. Great beignets with a bit of a wait. We stopped here both because they open earlier than most coffee shops in the area but also because beignets. While there we ordered three beignets and one iced chicory coffee. In total we waited almost 25 min (there was an issue that I doubt is common). It was a little frustrating to wait so long on only a few items but when we got it we discovered she'd thrown in an extra beignet. Honestly it was all so tasty it really did make up for it.
