So there we were, Friday evening on a road trip up to the mountains from the South Bay. Suddenly,…read morewithout warning, all passengers in our Prius were struck with horror and panic, as the worst possible thing could happen to any normal driver: THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. Now, being men, we had to keep it together to calm the women and children and act like everything was alright ("no, I'm sure it's fine, it's probably a standard light that comes on at exactly 174,396 miles, the dealerships do it on purpose"). Mortally afraid and running on pure adrenaline, I did the unthinkable. I simply opened my yelp app and found A1 repair by filtering hours open and proximity to our location. Even now as I recall the event, I am shocked at how rational I was behaving under such extenuating circumstances. But I digress. The time was was 7:55 pm on a Friday night. We were 13 minutes away. Yelp indicated A1 closed at 8 PM. We weren't gonna make it. We were going to be stranded on a desert highway with nothing but sasquatch and axe murdered to keep us company at night. While us men were busy occupying ourselves with how we were going to fight off mythical creatures at night, suddenly, our female in the car did the impossible: she called Jasen, the friendly service technician, to see if he wouldn't mind staying open for another ten minutes, due to our obviously dire needs. Generously and professionally, he agreed and promptly help us to diagnose our check engine light, which turned out to be only a minor thing and nothing that couldn't wait til the next service appointment at the dealership. Well done, Jasen, you have saved us all! Highly recommend.

My main mechanic said to ask a transmission place for a quote on the TC. I came here and said I think the TC needs to be replaced. I was told I shouldn't believe everything I read online. They ran some tests, didn't have a definitive answer. Told me they could try to replace the spark plugs and ignition coil. Funny story, I replaced the spark plugs ONE WEEK earlier because I thought that would be a cheap fix. Went to a certified Toyota dealer and they said it's the TC, but it's out of warranty. Too bad, I would have paid AAMCO $2000 to replace the TC, but now I'll never come here again.

First they told me my engine was knocking and that I should prepare for the worst. Then their master tech looked at it and said it was just the belt. They fixed it got it to me and It was very overpriced but you know you got to do what you got to do. Last week I was on the highway going 75 mph and my car just dies. The engine won't start again and my dash is completely black. The speedometer was at 0 when I was just going 75. So now I was stranded in Edmond and come to find out there's a tensioner on the alternator belt they didn't bolt back up so the belt wasn't tight enough to spin the alternator so it wasn't charging. So these "mechanics" need to get some actual training. Their work isn't safe and it could have been a deadly situation if I hadn't responded the correct way on the highway. I don't advise going to brotherhood garage if you value your safety.

I was sent to Brotherhood garage by Discount Tire in Moore due to a employee damaging a hub and a…read morelug-nut during maintenance work. They were fairly easy to schedule and accommodating though I was told the appointment would be quick -and they would know if they could fix it or not -but alas this appointment took an hour and a half and they were unable to repair it. Upon completion of the appointment they emailed me a inspection report for my vehicle which I DID NOT give them consent to do. I made it very clear when I came in that I was only there because of the Discount Tire issue and I did not want to authorize ANY OTHER work to be done on my vehicle and only was authorizing the Discount Tire possible repair to be done on my vehicle. They asked if I needed an oil change, I told them I had it done last week and they asked if I needed an alignment and I told them I got it done on Saturday. I made the statement in front of two employees and my son. So for me to get an inspection report that shows three "requires immediate attention" issues that need to be taken care of was a slap in the face. They did not even listen to me. 1) air filter that needs to be replaced (The new one was sitting in the seat) 2) that I have a possible oil leak because there is visible oil on my pan below a gasket. This was a repair that my car had received at the MINI dealership and there are no active leaks. This is also mentioned in my MINI dealership inspection report that I received one week prior that states "no active leaks" but shows the same image. Brotherhood would like to clean The area and add dye to see if it is currently leaking. 3) the damaged hub that needed to be retapped None of this was discussed to my face except item #3 & it was just sent to me via email. Lastly they checked all my fluids, they opened every reservoir to check my fluids. I did not give them authorization to do this. Also my car (a MINI Cooper) is notorious for having the dipsticks break when being checked and are basically useless because they are not very readable. When I asked how they checked my oil life since all they showed me was a color comparison I asked if it came from cap or the dipstick. I was told the dipstick -because that's how you check your oil (duh). I am fully aware of how you check your oil. I am also aware my car burns oil like a MOTHER (it is a MINI thing) and there was a fresh 5w-30 sitting in my passenger side. I got this!! I also asked this gentleman if he was aware that MINIs dipsticks are known to break --he told me "no he was unaware". I informed him that I will be taking my car to the Mini dealership to perform the hub repair that is now needed and at the time I will have them check my dipstick. If there is any issue I will be following up with this location. He apologized for the inspection that was done that was NOT authorized but you cannot undo what has already been done. It felt like my car was a novelty to them... They kept me there for an hour and a half and suggested work that did not need to be done. They were unable to do the work that was requested of them by Discount Tire and they still pushed to be the ones to replace the hub admitting that they would be using an aftermarket part unless discount tire approved using OEM. At that point again I reminded him that if a repair was not possible I would not be taking my car back to them and I would be taking my car to the MINI dealership. I get not everyone takes care of their vehicles and does the property maintenance but I do... the inspection was unauthorized and invasive. I know MINIs are weird and a pain in the rear and have very unusual qwerks--- I am very particular who works on my car and all work has been limited to Discount tire (moore) for wheels and tires, Firestone (s western) for alignments and MINI dealership (edmond) for all other work. **I have been looking for a secondary garage to trust my vehicle with when I am unable to go into the MINI dealership. But between the past reviews I have seen on this business at all 3 locations and my first hand experience I can honestly say I will never be back.
