Based on many positive reviews from various locals and friends, as well as senior facilities, home health care agencies, and other agencies where she has provided complimentary service to the homeless, we knew right away we found a perfect match. My mother has always been fearful to have anyone touch her feet due to previous bad experiences... until today. Her toe nails were delicately and tenderly cared for in the most compassionate and loving way possible. My mother, 82, has arthritis in her toes and is always painful to touch, but Misty's touch was so golden that my mother felt absolutely nothing. In fact, Misty was so gentle with her that soon my mother was sharing stories, and laughing that I think my mom forgot she was even getting a pedicure. The end results were so fantastic that my mom began to cry tears of happiness because she felt so good about her toes and how pretty they looked. She loved every minute of this experience, and the best part was that she didn't have to leave the comfort of our home. Where do I even begin...my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and did chemotherapy and radiation. This year for her birthday I wanted to treat her to a mobile nail service. I found Misty "Martha" on here, she seemed to have good reviews. I set up a GEL manicure and pedicure. I made Misty aware I really didn't know how much my mom could handle as she was going through neuropathy in her hands and feet. Misty agreed and we scheduled the appt for 7/6 at 11:30am for gel nails. Misty arrived that day about 15 mins late, no apology. She was a bit all over the place but one thing she did was sit and talk to us and tell my mom how great her dogs were and how much she loved them, how she loves animals and wants to save them all, etc. (this is important for later on) She spilled some sort of alcohol or sanitizer on my mom's living room rug. She was also not prepared for our appt. She did not bring any gel polish or the light which was disappointing because thats the type of appt we set up. She did say she would drive back to her house to get the supplies but with her already being 15 min late we couldn't waste much more time as we also had plans after her appt. Misty filed my mom's nails, and painted them. Mistys paint job was sloppy, she also cut my mom's finger near the nail bed and painted over it. During the appt i could tell my mom just wanted it to be over. I felt horrible because this was a birthday gift and it was extremely unprofessional. Misty quoted me $185 for a gel manicure, pedicure and light massage. Misty did a regular polish on hands and toes and my mom opted out of the massage due to wanting the appt to just be over. Misty left some of her trash behind, she spilled alcohol or sanitizer on my moms rug, she never apologized for being late, etc. misty texted me after the appt saying she would charge me $100. I expressed my disappointment and frustration to her to which she was very defensive and argumentative. She told me to send her what i felt she deserved, so I sent $50. It should have been $20. 3 weeks later, im sitting in a hospital room with my sister and i receive a text from Misty. A picture of what looks like burn marks or bruising on her arm and a piece of paper that says she has a order for a knee xray and that shes been to urgent care twice and its because my moms pitbull. Misty was obsessed with the dogs the day she went to my moms house. She kept insisting she wanted to take them home with her, she never once mentioned anything about my moms dogs causing her pain or scratches. Misty was also on vacation 6 days after my moms appt at the beach. If she was injured why would she go on vacation? Why did she wait 3 weeks to contact me about this? If a dog caused me to go to urgent care multiple times I know that would be one of the first things i mentioned. I think Misty doesn't like the fact she was called out on her unprofessionalism. Then again it also looks like Misty has a track record of accusing people of "dog attacks" Ive attached pictures below. If you want your nails done poorly, if you want to be harassed weeks after you left the situation alone, if you want your innocent dog to be accused of causing harm to someone, if you want someone to show up late, if you want someone who doesn't seem mentally stable to come into your home, & if you want to throw your money away, Misty is your girl. I asked for thin, natural looking acrylics with a specific design. That's exactly what I got! My acrylics were natural looking, yet so strong! I usually break my nails by typing all day at work, and these lasted me for a month! When time came to take them off, I had NO NAIL DAMAGE! I found out that Misty uses quality acrylic kits without MMA that ruins nails (found in most salons). Ever since, I have only done my acrylics with Misty! What a great service Misty offers! My aging father is disabled and can no longer tend to his toenails. And, being fiercely independent, he doesn't complain or ask for help. But I knew his overgrown toenails were probably making walking even more difficult for him. It would have been difficult to take him out to a salon [and I do not believe nail salons are sanitary] plus I was concerned because of his age and compromised immune system... so I researched mobile nail salons, never really finding the right type of service I was looking for. But Misty was recommended to me by a Home Health company and what a find she is! She came to his home to give him a pedicure. Being super-personable and with such a caring demeanor, my Dad took to her right away! She was fast, thorough and her equipment is completely sanitary.
