I lost my beautiful 17.5 year old Mia on August 8, 2025. She went peacefully at home due to illness, in her bed with me beside her petting her. That same night I looked at pet cremation services that can pick up from home. One that I've used in the past closed down a few years ago. So I took a chance and called Mobile Pet Cremations. They answered and was available to pick up in my area same day. The customer service rep was very kind and showed great empathy and professionalism. That night, the person picking up Mia came to my home and gently took her for cremation. The person was polite and professional and I felt good about where she was going. Blake who was corresponding with me via text was very responsive and answered all of my questions. Mia was cremated on August 13 and they even sent photo proof that only she and she alone went into the cremation area so I can feel confident it's only her ashes I will be receiving. I received her ashes approximately a little over 2 weeks later. Mia has 3 other dog siblings and when their time comes, I will make sure to contact Mobile Pet Cremations. It's a personal choice for me to never let my pet take his or her last breath in a cold vet office and even in death would prefer my pets to go at home. I had picked up a flyer for mobile pet cremation at my vet quite a time back, knowing that when the time came I would prefer to have my little guy at home. The time came quite suddenly and unexpected, it was a Friday past midnight. I knew I wouldn't be able to get a hold of anyone at that time, so Saturday morning I called the number. They said they did not come in my area, and kindly gave me a link with some more options. The first one I called was closed, and I hung up without leaving a msg. I explained what had happened and Dr. Writt did a brief examination and assured me I was making the right decision. After the paperwork they asked me where I would like him to be. I had him on his bed and didn't want to move him, so they started the procedure there. Before each step they asked me if I wanted to spend some time with him before going to the next step. I was able to sit with him and pet and talk with him through the entire procedure. Pip was always anxious and would cry when he had to go to the vet, and I didn't want it to end that way, so I greatly appreciate that I was able to have him go peacefully at home. He was calm and not stressed at all and he went to sleep very peacefully. We had never heard of at home pet euthanasia and cremations services until a friend used a service for their beloved pet. When it came time for us to let our pet move on, we thought we would just go to our vet like we had in the past. Unfortunately our very large dog, Koda, had positioned himself in narrow hallway and couldn't be easily moved without causing pain and suffering. The thought of getting Koda in the SUV without causing a lot of pain because of his size was overwhelming. When the final decision was reached by the family to let Koda pass on, it was getting later in the day and it was raining. Though Koda was always very well taken care of, the thought of what a service like this would cost was a concern. We thought we had made a decision on which service to use, but they had no one available. Koda was in pain, and we didn't want to wait another day. They don't carry through.They know it's a difficult bewildering time for you. they will take full advantage of your pain. it's a business after all .$$$ Having never had to experience a cremation, I knew I wanted one for my pup at home. The doctor came late and according to the owner Blake that was my fault because apparently the good Dr doesn't know to use a GPS! No problem. Things happen. That didn't upset me. I was offered a few minutes needed before my dog was put to sleep...which I could not take full advantage of as I was asked to sign documents. And the dr had to hurry to her next appointment. I let the doctor know that I set up the area where I wanted the service done. she was unpacking her medication equipment and began to do the procedure on the floor. she was young and very kind but as she was much younger than I being on the floor was ok for her. The floor was not an option for me. Sitting on a bench I still couldn't reach my pups head . I was given 5 minutes or so after the second injection to be with my pup. I could probably have gotten down on the floor but I'd never get back up. Seriously The doctor was very professional with the one exception of not using a more comfortable place for me and her. I called the owner Blake. I have nothing nice to say about him. i wasn't told that the first injection isn't allowed while the pet is in your lap. the second one you can have the pet in your lap. I said to the owner Blake why didn't anyone tell me that ? His answer, "you didn't ask". I have choice words the owner. How would I know to ask for something I didn't know existed. The owner "Blake have a nice day." I spent $1500 to be hung up on. I would ever recommend this mobile service. The owner Blake was condescending rude and greedy. Make sure if you use this mobile unit be prepared to ask questions that you didn't even know existed. Update - the owner Blake wants to me redact my review or he won't send me my receipts. We lost our beloved dog Sunny on 12/19/23, and when I got over the initial shock, I called Mobile Pet Cremations & spoke to Blake, who was courteous, professional, and efficient. He effortlessly coordinated the pickup from my mom's house in Glendora, and communicated with me to ensure that everything went smoothly. He asked a few questions to finalize logistics, and was never pushy. Invoicing was quick, and I was able to take care of it with no trouble. On his end, he coordinated the driver to arrive at the time we requested (so we could have some additional time saying goodbye to Sunny). The driver was prompt and professional.
