So , being a 74 y.o. healthy but frail woman in a desperate hope of requesting a replacement of my non-driver ID, since the not expired and in very good shape one I had it's now considered lost after no longer found inside my purse after a visit to a doctor's office located in one of the local city hospitals, I drag myself into the cold weather this morning, board a crowded #1 train headed to the West 30th location wasting my time and fare money to learn the ridiculous news: yes, ma'am, you cannot expect to find any window serving seniors, and the 'EXPRESS' part of the branch''s title is just a 'name', curiously in English language, I believe, uhh....!? What is going so wrong with this city, where literally every public service has been worse than in most of the called '3rd world' countries? Shame on all of you NY state residents for not posting reviews of any and all of your low quality experiences with such matters. Our motto must be now: "all ways expect the worse even when paying costs for the best." Come on, would you please give us a well deserved and long due break, dear authorities!!!? You'll basically pay the normal DMV fees plus a surcharge for excellent and efficient service, without the annoying wait. Seems like a great deal. Keep in mind that this is a business authorized to execute DMV transactions so there is a service fee on top of whatever the DMV charges. DMV knows what forms you need to get whatever task done that you're looking for. I came here to transfer my car to my daughter's name. I want the title and registration, including the plates to all be transferred to her name. The gentleman then says I can keep the title in my name and that part will be easier and I told him no I came here to put the car in my daughter's name which includes the title that I signed over to her. That should have been a major red flag for me but me trying to support a local business, I figured maybe he just did not hear that part when I originally asked. My daughter gets notified that they canceled her plates because Premier did not give us a transfer plate form to sign so rather than doing the less expensive route of transferring the plates and rather than giving me the option premiere decided to take it upon themselves to tell DMV to issue new license plates, which now will cost us more money. This was my daughter's first car and first set of license plates so there's some sentimental value with us wanting to transfer the plates in her name as originally requested and what I paid premier to do in the first place. This is unacceptable and in speaking with Premier. They tell us there's going to be more fees on top of more fees if they have to go back to DMV to make it right. They (Premier) are now trying to blame the error on DMV and they are telling me that they meaning premier sends a "runner" to DMV to stand in line with the paperwork, then bring the paperwork back to premier. So their runners do not know the DMV processes. So essentially utilizing premier's services is the equivalent of walking up to a stranger and paying them $150 to go to DMV, stand in line and come back with anything other than what you asked and paid for. This is not over. This is unacceptable and I am not going to accept this. I will be filing a formal complaint with DMV about premier as well.
