We worked with Decar at MobilityWorks to get a wheelchair accessible van for my father-in-law. Decar was awesome to work with. He searched new and used options, spent a lot of time with my father-in-law and I during the process. We got a great deal and Decar made the paperwork very easy. I called today (8/2/24) about getting an EZ lock for my son's wheelchair installed. I was shuffled from person to person on the phone without anyone answering my questions, so asked if I could come by and show them the vehicle. I was told Yes. I was told a salesperson was to call me. Fast forward, two people were at the reception, one man who told me the salesperson had called me and left a message but left work early (in truth the salesperson never phoned nor left message). The other one was RUSS. WOW - what a revolting way he has about him. He was immediately argumentative and aggressive, offensively stating that I was wrong, shaking his head at me when I tried asking the specifics regarding the EZ Lock- he was rude, condescending, and dismissive of me/my business. ZERO STARS BECAUSE OF RUSS Hey management! Russ should never interact with customers as he has a rude, ugly manner, and cannot functionally interact or communicate without hostility and antagonism. Our business with mobility works spans over 8yrs. My father is a Vietnam vet whom has no legs, Carlos has been his primary salesman and his attitude is predictable. He lures my father in every 2 years, he hooks my father on a van, gets my father's signature and then ghosts when issues arise. My father has been stranded with zero transportation on more then one vehicle. When we contact Marty who is suppose to be one of the main employees she dismisses any concerns. She could careless about how you feel, or could she careless how her service and receptionist disrespect customers. Yet when you contact the vendor in which they claim won't call them she comes to action as if she tried. Then don't get me started on Russ who has the manners of a turd! If you call him and demand a date in which your van will be returned he'll scream at you and hang up like a two year old. If you're looking for a car dealership that's compassionate and caring this isn't it! I wouldn't ever buy anything from this establishment. I'm amazed they are still in business and the receptionist when told the VA will be contacted she stated to my mother do what you need to do!!! Must be nice to disrespect a Veteran and his family!!! Probably one of the worst service I've had in a long time. Customer service was beyond poor receptionist had a bad attitude. Quality of work also was poor. Vehicle was not ready for pick up when arrived. Had me waiting 2 extra hours after pick up time . I wouldn't spend another dollar or second here. Waste of money and time. read more

So like a few other reviewers, I had a similar experience here. As someone mentioned, I feel like this location is like a regular car dealership. Everyone just sees dollar signs when you come in the door and that is their objective. That's sad being that this type of business is supposed to be catering to the disabled members of our community. You would think with that in mind, there would be more of a willingness to help, improve quality of life, and be a resource, instead of making a buck. I purchased my very first wheelchair van here in 2019, I went in a bit naive and unfortunately trusted their word when buying a vehicle. One of the first things I asked was if they had any programs available to assist with the purchase of a wheelchair van. The car salesman Carlos, stated no. A few months later when I found out there was in fact a program and went back to them with said program, they told me "oh yeah we do these all the time". So there was that. Long story short, I ended up getting suckered into a used van purchase that had over 100,000 miles on it, with a high interest rate because regardless of my credit, I was told wheelchair vans are more of a liability for lenders, so that's a "normal rate" for these type of vans. Lie #2. I purchased this van for $24,000 on credit. Mind you, this van had no special features, it had a manual ramp and was a basic model. I ended up only using the van for 6 months, and just as the other reviewer, stated, I contacted this company to see if they would buy the van back, they said sure, we will give you $7,000. Wow....I didn't put a lot of miles on it. It was basically the same as when I drove it off the lot. I contacted other mobility dealerships and one offered me more than double and the other $4,000 more. Strange, this dealership offered me the bare minimum, even though they were the ones that sold it to me in the first place for three times that amount. I ended up having to refinance my home to pay off this loan. I lost $13,000 for a vehicle I barely used. When I spoke to another wheelchair dealership, they were shocked at what I was told, the price they sold this van to me at, the price they offered to buy it back at, and the lies they provided me with just to make the sale. When I went into this location recently, for a vehicle assessment, it definitely felt like I was inconveniencing them, as I waited 30 minutes for the manager Marti to come out of the office, even with her door open and off the phone, knowing she had people waiting. It was me and another gentleman. He seemed a bit frustrated as well, as we both had appointments and no one was available to assist us. I went out back after waiting 25 minutes and the mechanic just gave me a dirty look and ignored me. Even though I said hello and excuse me to get his attention. For your wheelchair vehicle needs, I would try another company to save yourself alot of money and heartache. That's what I did and ended up with alot more understanding and insight into this unfortunate, experience. read more

I tried contacting Brad, from MobilityWorks Riverside on 3 separate occasions via email. This was a follow up to a family member's failed attempts to solicit a response from him for 2 weeks. In total, there were 3 weeks of attempted communication and no response. A family member purchased a a Dodge Van with handicap equipment with the intent of using it to aid his disabled wife. Long story short- the van was unsafe when it left the MobilityWorks lot. Within hours of driving it off the lot, a fuel pump and filter issue caused vapor lock, resulting in drivers being stranded in the middle of the desert for hours. The replacement cost incurred was $746.59. Since then, the van has incurred other costly repairs totaling more than an additional $3,400 for safety issues such as worn out motor and transmission mounts and failed wheel bearings. In summary, the vehicle that was sold was not in basic and safe operating condition. The vehicle has been constantly in the shop and I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from this company. I accepted that there was a miscommunication about an appointment no show, once. I willingly reset another appointment with a person, Carlos, to bring out a van to me. Carlos Landeros was the most amazing sales person to work with. There was zero pressure from him. He showed us a full sized van with powered ramps & mini vans with powered ramps. (We thought there was no way a mini van would work because dad is a big guy & 6'2". It would have been nicer for mom to drive so we tried it). We are sooo happy that we kept an open mind & listened to Carlos. THE MINI VAN WAS PERFECT!!!! 2009 Toyota Sienna with a powered side ramp & door! We can never thank Carlos enough or Mobility Works for the great, family feel atmosphere! Carlos continues to go out of his way to help get the van cleaned & checked out before delivering it to us! If i could this place ZERO stars I would. Seems like being unprofessional is a prerequisite to work here. As a customer ( former customer now ), you would think I would be treated accordingly. Here's the skinny, I lost the key to my scooter on Christmas Day 2017. I know, the absolute worst time. I waited until mobility works was open again and asked them to order my key replacement. Scott said no problem gave me the estimated cost and we hung up. I ended up buying a key from another scooter owner. I still wanted the key I requested as a spare. I called Scott around the January, asked about the order. He apologized about forgetting to order my key and would do it, right away. I said ok, then hung up. The beginning of March comes and Scott calls me 4 times to tell me the key has arrived and I needed to come get it. ( at this point, I wasn't going to drop everything I was doing to get the key ). Scott called me a few more times, Last Thursday was the last one. On the message he offered to take a payment over the phone and mail my key. ( not a bad deal, why did it take a WHOLE month to give this offer? ). I finally had time to get the key yesterday. I walked in and the attitude riddled receptionist looked at me and looked away. ( no greeting nothing ). I asked her where Scott was, she said "busy in the back". OH OK. I asked if she could ring me up for my purchase, she said "no, only Scott can ring you up". I told her it didn't make sense and surely someone could ring me up so I can be on my way. She then calls this Lady over from a cubicle. I explain why I'm there. The lady says, "I called you numerous times and since you didn't respond I sold your key". Well hello, how are you doing? No, no, let's go into rudeness and sarcasm instead. This irritated my soul, don't get nasty with me after your company dropped the ball in December. I told her about my dislikes with the business and left. NEVER AGAIN will I do business with this foolish location. They aren't profesional, courteous nor do they do what they say they will. They flaked on me prior to this, I should've taken note and never used them after the first experience. I need to purchase a van for my mom and decide to try this place since it was recommended to me by a friend, and this super nice gentleman assisted me with all my questions. Carlos Landeros made me feel welcomed and less worried since I wasn't sure what to exactly buy but he suggested a few vans for me and let me know what he thought was best for my needs. He was absolutely right the van had everything I needed and more it was perfect for my family. We purchased a 2016 Toyota van and Decar the salesman dropped it off at our home. He told us the the airbag light was on and to drive the van for 50 miles so the system could reset. The van has been back to them 4 times and the same result. The light is still on and we notified Russell, Marti, and Decar on August 8th. We were sold a van that they knew had an issue and now will not respond or take calls. Russell says he cannot duplicate the issue however when they picked up the vehicle the light was on and we took pictures of the dash. These vehicles are not normal they are specifically made for people with a disability. They have a responsibility to sell sound vehicles. Unacceptable! So we are making payments on a car that we cannot drive and I'm stuck at home cause my cart will not fit in any other vehicle we have. read more

After 6 months of searching for the perfect van for my family and my wheelchair dependent child I was beginning to lose hope that one would be found. I had spoken to Lena at MobilityWorks back in July. 6 weeks ago she called excited that the van I wanted had just been brought onto the lot. I immediately gave her a deposit and they began processing it. They went over every detail and wouldn't release it until it was perfect. I finally have it and it's changed my daughters life. She can now be independent in her motorized chair and the whole family can still go places in one vehicle. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Buyer beware! If I went to a BMW or Mercedes dealer and put down $67K on a new vehicle, I would expect first class customer service. They would want such a customer back, right? Not these folks. They just care about one thing, their commission and they don't care about a return customer, because you won't be coming back after what they put you through. But anyway, they have your money, that's all that counts. So, they can dismiss those annoying phone calls you're making because you haven't received your plates and registration in nearly 5 months. Never mind that you can't drive anywhere because the DMV is sending you notices that your vehicle is going to be impounded. They have your money, so who cares? What? Went there to get a estimate for a new power transfer seat motor and they never called me back. I want to ability center and had ordered in two days, I highly recommend ability center San Bernardino. Plus they charge me $109 to look at my van, and they wouldn't put that toward new parts or service if I ordered from them. They are corporate now, not the service they used to have. read more

Bought a gently used van and was told it had brand new tires and no mechanical issues. After a couple months and only putting a couple thousand miles on it, my outer rim of tires were completely bald. Two separate tire professionals and an alignment shop all said these are not new tires, and in fact the van was sold to me completely out of alignment and causing abnormal wearing on tires. I called Marti the manager at the Riverside location and provided proof from the tire professionals of the problem. My car is suppose to still be under "warranty." On the phone she was rude and absolutely no help! She tried to blame me "I must have hit a pot hole and caused the alignment to go out." She says this is my responsibility to fix. They make all sorts of promises for road side assistance etc. when purchasing the van. I was also promised new wheelchair lock tied downs for the van. I have called and emailed multiple times, and I still have not received what was promised. They sales pitch that they are 100% there for their customers and help them whenever there are issues...until you drive it off the lot. Marti refused to help me and after only having the van a few months, I am forced to buy all brand all new tires and get a full alignment done. This is absolutely unacceptable!
