Also told us we cannot give a deposit to really secure the deal because he said California law doesn't allow that which is another LIE. I've bought many cars out of state and locally by phone and or email - its the digital age, but some people and dealers have zero respect or customer loyalty. Will not shop at this dealership ever - highly recommend Rancho Mirage location even if its a long drive they're honest people unlike this clown show liars at this circus tent... you'd think they were a cheap used car lot in their handling of new potential clients. Working with Astor and Scott Fox at the Jaguar Dealership. My initial experience was very positive with good conversation and discussion around a used MB they had listed for sale. I was told the SUV was not currently on site as it was going through a rigorous inspection and had some minor repairs they wanted to fix before selling the car. We ended up making a deal, I purchased the car and we went on our way. Within a few days, we noticed the AC vent was misdirected to the floor so I called Astor to let him know. First time I took my car there after buying it I asked them to check for a coolant leak because I got an alert for low coolant. They gave me some bogus 50 point inspection and complete ignored what I asked for. A month later the car overheated due to low coolant. Cost me $3k to fix somewhere else. The second time I came for a windshield replacement, they tell me it'll be fine the same day and it ends up taking a 2 days because they didn't know they couldn't tint it. They asked for my feedback on service and I told them what I'm writing here and asked for a call back. Nobody ever contacted me, I never went there again. Unqualified and careless mechanics at best. DECEPTIVE PRICING. I purchased a 2023 Mercedes from this dealership and pod exactly what they priced it t online and added the 100k extended warranty. I was then told that I had to pay an additional $1,500 for a GPS they install in all of their cars, the Mercedes has one installed factory already, but they made instead of removing it like I requested made me pay an additional $1,045. They also installed fancy stickers on the door edges which protect someone else's car if I open the door into their car for another $545. I also said I don't want those. They said that was on every car! After I agreed and told this to a friend who owns a Chevrolet dealership, he was furious and said that was illegal, they cannot add items to a vehicle and make you pay more than an advertised price. I spoke with a GM from another dealer and he said that was absolutely BS and they thought it was a shady business practice. I have since texted the salesman Heath at least 6-7 times which each time he has responded either someone will call, they're busy try calling direct, which I left Jeff the GM a voicemail and never got a call back, and let Heath know this which he said let me try something else. This has gone on for probably 2 months and I'm tired of calling. I would highly suggest finding a dealer that doesn't make money by adding things to the vehicle you don't need! And certainly one that will at least hear you out on your concerns after the purchase of you reach out as many times as I have. I've dealt with service advisor Morgan since day 1, and it has been nothing short of a great experience. He always has a loaner car ready for me when I go, and because I have my toddler with me they'll park the loaner and my car next to each other so it's easy for me to swap over my sons car seat, etc. I recently traded in my 2017 Evoque for a 2021 Sport due to some issues, and Morgan was extremely helpful when deciding whether or not I should fix my 2017 or move on to something new.
