My 3 year old had to be put under general anesthesia for some dental work recently. As you can imagine, making that decision was incredibly nerve wracking. Joy- who handles the appointments and paperwork for mobisurg called me multiple times leading up the procedure and she was always so friendly and knowledgeable. I was so terrified when I was told that my 5 yr old would have to be under general anesthesia. Dr. Shar and his entire staff were fantastic. My little one had surgery at the surgery center in August. From our initial interactions with Joy the Office Manager to the doctor himself...we couldn't have asked for a more compassionate and accommodating experience. My little one was 4 yrs old so I was extremely nervous about using anesthesia for dental surgery. However, the care and patience that the team exhibited really helped us have the best experience possible. Dr. Shar explained the procedure to us in detail as well as to my little one in a way that he could understand. So, he was very comfortable going into the procedure. Also, he was able to sit in my lap until he fell asleep while the anesthesia was being administered and was placed in my lap in the recovery area until he awakened. Afterwards, he awakened a little groggy but didn't have any real side effects or memory of anything adverse. After a couple of hours he was smiling and admiring his teeth. :) Overall, it was the best experience we could have had given the circumstance. Making the decision to move forward with the anesthesia/surgery was the best and most difficult decision to be faced with. However, if I had to do it again I would definitely use Dr. Shar and his team at MobiSurg. We are so appreciative for the effort they put into making both patient and family feel at ease. When my son's dentist told us that he had 5 cavities we were nervous about the work to repair them. He has autism and mastocytosis. My husband and I were honestly apprehensive when we knew that our 22-month old son has to be put under general anesthesia for his dental procedure with Dr Lopez. My 5-years old daughter needed anesthesia for her dental work. Like any parent, I was very worried leading up the procedure. Dr. Shar Alikhani from MobiSurg was an excellent anesthesiologist. His supporting staff was also amazing. Dr. Shar called me the night before the procedure to ask questions about my daughter and her medical history as well as to answer all the questions that I had. He made me feel that my daughter would be well taken care of and she would be ok. The day of the procedure, he came and talked to me again and also talked to my daughter and put her at ease. Dr. Shar explained in details how my daughter was going to be put to sleep and what to expect when she wakes up. She went to sleep in my arms and she woke up in my arms. I think this is a wonderful practice both for the parents and the children. My daughter was back to her old self just a few hours after the procedure. She did not have any nausea/vomiting or cough after the procedure, which I experienced when I had to go under anesthesia. Dr. Shar called the evening of the procedure to check on my daughter to make sure that she was ok. My whole experience at Mobisurg from the beginning until the end was all 5 stars.
