The toppings station was a mess, and a few weeks ago, my dad came in and an employee assembled his smoothie bowl for him. When I came in today, I expected the same, but instead, they told me to grab a bowl from the fridge and assemble it myself. I was confused, since that's not how it's been done in the past two time we've ordered it. When I mentioned this, the staff acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and asked me to describe the employee who helped my dad -- as if I'd remember exactly what she looked like. On top of that, several of the toppings I needed for the bowl weren't even available. I live in the neighborhood and used to love coming here on weekends, but $11 for a smoothie bowl I have to put together myself -- with missing toppings -- just isn't worth it. The floors were dirty, and the topping station was grimy and unstocked. The staff today didn't seem helpful or attentive, and overall, the experience was really disappointing.

Their other items are good, but I'm a chocolate cake guy and theirs is spectacular. I mean it. Besides that, they are great neighbors who support local artists, local charity events. In particular they always donate a bunch of great deserts to the local food pantry for their fund raising events. I work these events, raising money to feed our neediest neighbors and CHOC always provides awesome desert items so we can raise money.
