I refuse to drive into Philly for a hot dog since Moe's Hot Dogs closed... The next best thing to come along were Korean hot dogs... Nope. Still not crossing that bridge... Thankfully, Mochi Ring Donut opened in Cherry Hill. In all honesty, I drove into their parking lot by mistake looking for the bagel shop that's in the same complex.. They're fun, excellent flavor choices and just different from an ordinary donut. I'm so happy they made their way over to Jersey. I came in on this rainy Saturday to attended the Yelp Elite event and was surprised with so many fellow Yelpers. I only stopped by the store in Philly once when my wife craved for the famous Mochi Ring Donut. This time I actually have the chance to sample everything they offered. The Taro ring with a Pocky Stick was a great touch. The hot dog comes a great box designed to keep in secure for takeout. The crusty shell and the combination of cheese and hot dog make it a great tasty creation. They use chopstick to hold the hot dog, which is great idea to provide support on the huge dog when you eating it. The drink was already prepared for Elite Yelpers, so I am not sure if they customized options on ice and sweetness level. It tasted great. The place is near I-295 and Route 70 intersection inside Pine Tree Plaza. It is on the north side of Rt-70 with easy in & out access from the divided highway. Went in around lunch time and grabbed a half dozen mocho ring donuts ($16.50), two extras ($5.70), and two Korean corn dogs. The service was okay, and the place was very clean (but mostly empty). First off, the Korean corn dog ($5.95) was amazing. I got the potato, mozzarella, and hot dog option. It didn't have too much of a fried flavor, and the potatoes really helped fill me a bit more than I would with a normal corn dog. I also put spicy mayo on it, and it helped expand the flavor so much more. The structure is that it's hot dog at the top, mozzarella, then hot dog again. Personally, I'd prefer if I was getting mozzarella and hot dog in the same bite, but that's not typically how Korean corn dogs are structured. The donuts were pretty good. They offered me a sample (of tiramisu) as soon as I got inside. I got three glazed, three tiramisu, and two churro donuts. The churro donut was pretty good (think close to an apple cider donut minus the apple-y flavor). The tiramisu wasn't anything too special, but it wasn't bad either. My coworkers didn't have any complaints about the regular glaze. The mango and passionfruit were delicious. I sampled the matcha donut and the Nutella donut. I love all things green tea, but I didn't taste much matcha flavor. The Nutella donut had a trace of Nutella flavor (the sliced almonds on top were a nice texture treat). The donuts were unique and very fresh. The Korean hotdogs were FILLING. Think corn dog but about three times the width with batters showcasing ramen, potato, and even Cheetos flavor. You won't be hungry for a while after eating one of these bad boys. This isn't something I knew existed, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to sample them. I ate more than my share, even splitting a few with my new Yelp bud Delvia W. These are by far some of the best Mochi Donuts I've had! After trying a variety of different places across NJ and the DMV, these are far superior. It's a very cute and clean restaurant atmosphere, and the lady servicing us (I wish I asked her name), was incredibly kind, offering us samples as we looked and confirming everything we wanted. This place is located in a small strip mall off Marlton Pike. We happened to be in the plaza to have brunch at a neighboring restaurant and this place caught our eye. We walked in not intending to do much more than browse but once an employee offered us a sample, we ended up getting not just an ube mochi ring but also half a dozen of the matcha ones for our friends meeting for brunch to try. I like how they put some toppings on the donuts, like the matcha ones had a marshmallow on top (more than one might have been nice, seeing as how cheap marshmallows are!), the coffee ones had a Biscoff cookie on top, and I think the taro ones had a corresponding flavored Pocky stick on top, etc. $2.85 per donut not including tax. We didn't try their drinks so I can't comment on those. I'm not sure we'd make a specific trip just to come here but it was kind of a nice place to make a stop en route to the neighboring restaurant. read more

My favorite place to get mochi donut. If you never had a mochi donut it's a cross between a donut and mochi. It's chewy and pillowy. If you're looking for your classic American donut this is not it. The mochi donuts are sweet but not super sweet. My personal favorite is the ube & taro and my husband loves the strawberry. They also have Korean corn dogs which I'm literally obsessed with. Favorite combo is half hotdog half cheese. It's a classic you can't go wrong. Customer service here is great. The staff team were pretty friendly! They are wayyy overpriced for what they are. The dough is like funnel cake type and the only saving grace is that the toppings are flavorful.
