chocolate lovers and Zab's hot honey crunch
    Elaine D.

Delightful treat! The mochi part was light and delicate which was nice! The zabs hot honey flavor was wonderfully surprising. My lip kinda tingled after. I also enjoyed the churro espresso. Anything they had that had a special top felt the most worth the $3.75 The server was really kind and offered us a 10% off discount for our first time. And gave us samples for the ones we weren't sure about. She also offered samples when the boba for our drinks took longer than planned. Unfortunately the boba pearls were chewy and not in the best way. I'd be excited to come back for their seasonal flavors.

I have mixed feelings about my first time at Mochidoki. I was especially intrigued from seeing the pictures of the 'creations' on Yelp but I wanted to just start with the basics and get a regular mochi ice cream. The flavors are displayed at the counter and the only descriptions are a few words to describe the taste (i.e the black sesame was described as 'nutty and aromatic'), so you don't really know what ingredients are being used to get an idea of the texture. I learned this after having the lychee mochi ice cream. I wasn't expecting the filling to be frozen sorbet. And the sorbet filling was very icy and hard from being too cold. I feel like this even made the mochi skin a bit hard too, because I also tried the vanilla bean which my boyfriend got and that one had much softer skin that you'd know it was fresh mochi. The filling inside was just right - very creamy ice cream that was soft enough from not being too frozen. It was so much better than the lychee in terms of texture in both the filling and the skin. If I had known the lychee filling was going to be hard sorbet, I think I would have considered another flavor, which is why I think it would have been helpful to know what ingredients were in each flavor. I was even tempted to get an omakase box of 12 pieces, but I felt discouraged because I wasn't sure if I'd end up with some flavors I wouldn't enjoy. Overall, I thought the mochi ice cream was good, but for the steep price, I didn't think it was that much better than mochi ice cream I could buy at Trader Joe's.

A must try in Santa Monica!! My friend visited Mochidoki earlier this week, and raved about how delicious it was, so went back and surprised me with 5 different flavors to try! I am dairy-free, so I was excited to hear they had multiple vegan flavors. She told the staff she would be driving with these for about an hour, and they packed them in an insulated bag with an ice pack! Absolutely fantastic service! The outer layer of the mochi was not too thick, which made biting and eating it very enjoyable! My favorite of the vegan flavors was the Passionfruit. They all were flavorful without being too sweet! The only one I didn't love was the lychee cheesecake, but it's very thoughtful to have such a unique vegan option!

You don't want to know how many of these I ate in one sitting. This literally became my dinner because I got full from eating so many since they were addicting. Their grand opening featured a special edition of mochi ice cream topped with blini, chives, and caviar. It was a delicious take on sweet and savory desserts. As for the rest that I tried, the soft, velvety texture of the mochi and the rich, creaminess of the ice cream were unmatched. They have refreshing vegan flavors like passionfruit, which I highly recommend, or extravagant creations like matcha latte which you know I loved. I also tried their new seasonal flavor, carrot cake, which they nailed. They somehow accurately emulated the spices of that flavor into ice cream. A combination that surprised me was the PB&J because I thought the base would be vanilla but it turned out to be sesame. This is their first store in the LA area after being successful in New York and it's definitely worth a visit if you're a mochi ice cream lover. The workers were so kind and there was a good amount of seating inside. It's street parking only but it wasn't that hard to find when I visited.

So excited that New York cult-favorite @mochi_doki has finally opened in Los Angeles! They're known for their beautifully crafted mochi ice cream, which have been featured in decadent desserts at high end restaurants such as Tao and Nobu. You can definitely tell how much love the employees put into the ingredients and creation of these sweet treats, and I seriously loved every single flavor I sampled. Highly recommend checking out this super cute cafe location (before TikTok finds out about this spot LOL) for a refreshing sweet treat to the beat the summer heat or a beautiful bento box gift! My favorites: Grand opening special (a savory take on mochi ice cream, topped with caviar and chives) Matcha latte (topped with edible gold) Red bean Strawberry

I popped in because I needed to bring a special and unique dessert for thanksgiving. I got a box of the creation and a box of the regular flavors. Our favorites were lychee and passion fruit! The mochi was so soft and the flavors were unique. +1 star for the super nice and helpful workers!

I found Mochidoki through Yelp as I was trying to find a sweet treat. Parking: -Parking can be found anywhere near the location. We found parking on the street on the right thats next to the store. -Does not have its own parking lot however there are numerous parking spaces all around the block. Price: It's more on the expensive side for sure. $28 for a boba drink and 4 mochis. The "Creation" mochis are the one's that are designed. (Mini treats on top) its about $20 for 4 The regular mochi is around $14 for 4. The boba drinks start from $6.50 and depending on your additional ingredients it can vary. Service: Incredible service. I unfortunately did not get a name but he was outstanding! (Reference image of employee). He was very patient with us and assisted us by explaining the menu and answered every singe question of ours with such enthusiasm and excitement!!! They ran out of boba and he was doing his best to leave us with a positive experience.. he later offered the boba drink we wanted but cancelled (due to no boba) on the house!! BEST SERVICE EVER!!! OMG! Way to take care of your customers!!!! Taste: Espresso Mochi - Light caffeine taste and more chocolate taste than espresso. I am a fan of tiramisu and I can confidently say this mochi was my fave!!!! Loved the little whip on top. 9/10 Milk and Cookies Mochi - A very light vanilla flavored mochi. The top is coated with white chocolate and has miniature cookies 5/10 Chocolate Lovers Mochi - I LOVE chocolate this was an automatic 10/10. Very chocolate flavored mochi. Strawberry Mochi - Your typical strawberry flavored mochi 10/10 could never go wrong with it. I loved my first experience here the mochis were very exciting to try and the service was top tier. The prices are crazy expensive but its worth it for at least one trip!! I will recommend Mochidoki to friends!

This place has been on my try list ever since they opened but I was always in the area too early. Well this weekend we were in the area just after noon, so I was finally able to try! And it did not disappoint! I got the Passion Fruit (vegan), Milk and Cookies, Purple Sweet Potato, and Strawberry. My hands down favorite was the sweet potato it was so creamy and delicate in taste so you could tell it was not artificially flavored. The girl who was working was very kind and patient and there was even seating for those who want to eat in the shop.

Can't beat the mochi ice cream, but the service is terrible and the drinks are so not worth it. There weren't many people when we placed our order but a number of people came afterward. I swear, they filled the drink orders of the 5 people who came after us and didn't even get our drink in the lineup before then even though they could see us waiting and getting visibly annoyed at the wait. All the guy in charge said was thank you for your patience. At any worthwhile establishment, they would have been apologizing and offering another drink or mochi ice cream on the house. IMO, the drink also wasn't that good when it came - the boba was overly hot, the strawberry flavor was artificial, and the drink was just too sweet. At least the kiddo liked it, but we won't be returning anytime soon, and definitely not for drinks

I *think* this place is new. It is so small and quaint. Flavors were so fun and delicious! They even had dairy free which was a plus.

    Kat T.

5/5 great delicious mochi ice cream!! The place is very simple and cute, and offers a great variety of very tasty mochi ice creams. Service was spectacular and very friendly! They do offer a cute insulated bag for mochi so they don't melt too quickly. Very well thought out! I definitely recommend and will be back! Mochi are very pricey (almost unreasonably).
