    Powdered Sugar

When it's open and I'm next door, I always have to grab a little sweet treat here to pair with my tea! I am a simple person, and I typically opt for the powdered sugar or the churro and they always hit the spot. This specific day was cute because they were celebrating their anniversary so they had a fun picture station and a promo on their boxes. I love the vibes in here, very clean and open, but definitely a to-go spot as there is no seating at all. The service is always so great, the staff are an absolute delight, and offer lots of free samples to try! My only thing is that their hours seem to be quite limited, I'm always here when they're closed, so I think they close quite early.

What can I say other than perfection! The perfect balance or light, airy, sweet, crisp, and doughy! I have been 2x and both times have been great. The quality is consistent and the owner is very kind, giving me a sample of the Ube flavor doughnut which wasn't my initial flavor choice but I hav now gotten it both times. Pictured is my mom who is very picky and loved the Vietnamese Coffee flavor. The first time I went I only got 1 doughnut which was supposed to be for my daughter as I'm not much of a sweets person. I ended up thinking I would take just a bite and that was a mistake because before I knew it I didn't have a doughnut left to give her! The doughnuts are fried in beef shortening which gives them a full rich flavor. They are not greasy and ever so fluffy for being mochi! I can't recommend this place enough. Even if sweets are not your thing, you will be pleasantly surprised as to the balance these doughnuts have. I'm a fan and will always make a point to stop by when I'm in town.

Second time here, better than mochinut by far, atmosphere is so nice and calm. And the donuts are crazy good. Had fun flavors, and I think they switch it out once in a while? The worker and the owner (?) were so nice and personable, they were completely unbothered that I came in right when they opened. Store was clean and they have some bottled asian drinks and well as merch and nick nacks for sale. Came to get my boyfriend a bday treat, it's not cheap so it's a great gift to bring and the presentation is adorable! I'll be making this a regular spot

They're good BUT they are always closed whenever I feel a hankering for a donut. I have stopped by randomly whenever I am in the area and they're always closed except for those few blissful times. Idk if I just only want donuts at inopportune moments but I am not able to frequent this establishment as much as I please.

Ube, calamansi, lychee, genmaicha, banana foster

My friends brought mochi donuts over this past weekend and I've had mochi donuts before but these ones are probably the freshest I've had! We tried the ube, calamansi, genmaicha, lychee and banana foster. The ube and calamansi are Filipino flavors and they are absolutely mouth wateringly delicious! The genmaicha flavor was not as strong but it was still good. Banana foster didn't have as much banana flavoring to it but it's good that it isn't overpowering. However, the lychee tasted awful like perfume. That was super unpleasant cause I've had other baked goods with lychee flavoring and it was never this yucky. I did go back to the store and tried the carrot cake and that definitely was delightful! I would just say that the price per donut of $3.75 in the store which is not like on their website which I think was $2 and some change... is pretty pricey! Granted if you get more it's cheaper but like half a dozen for $20 is insane hahaha Delicious but pricey and I'd say still try it if you haven't! The texture of a mochi donut is heaven!

Superb, friendly and courteous service by, I'm assuming, the Owner. Products are top tier. Highly highly recommend.

Not sure how I had never had a mochi donut before, but this place was the best and worst place to go for my first time. Best because of HOW UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS AND FRESH THEY WERE! And worst! Because I live over A THOUSAND MILES AWAY and can't go here on the regular and also no other mochi donut will be able to compare!! :( I'm not sure if I was speaking to the owner, but he was giving owner vibes and was so nice and naturally customer service friendly. Building an authentic relationship with their customers. Really loved visiting this shop. Their merch is so cute too! Unfortunately sold out of everything in my size. They are that cute! * French toast * strawberry cheesecake? * white chocolate coconut * churro * pistachio * ube Loved them all but most especially the churro and pistachio!

This cute little donut and coffee shot is off the chart! I stopped in and had a purple colored Ube donut and was so happy I did! Many different colors and flavors, all good! They also have a cute little shopping area to grab some gear while you are there!!! Definitely a must try!!! Grade: A+

Very cute and uncluttered. A simple donut show will extraordinary donuts with unique flavors. I very much enjoyed my rose water and pistachio donut while my sister loved her Vietnamese coffee donut. Each donut was fairly priced at $3 a donut and the texture was on point!

The mochi donuts here have some of the best textures I've had in a long time--chewy, soft, and perfectly satisfying. I visited late in the day, and while they had run out of some options, I still got to try a few flavors. The staff was incredibly helpful, patiently explaining the flavor choices. Definitely worth a visit for anyone craving a unique treat!

SO yummy! We came here randomly today since we were craving something sweet. This shop is super cute -- very minimalistic and offers some super cute items! Stickers, candles, long-sleeved shirts and more! We tried ube, caramel coffee, strawberry matcha and key lime pie. So far, we have tried the Ube and caramel coffee -- both were so good! Mochi donuts have this chewy, light texture that really makes these shine brighter than any other donuts. We were also a fan of the assortment of flavors offered. Service was fast. The shop was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely be back when our sweet tooth sings again!

These donuts are perfection. I had never had a mochi doughnut before, but I had heard people rave about them. I can't believe I slept on it for this long. But instead of regretting things I missed out on in the past I am launching headfirst in the future by enjoying not only their incredible seasonal delicacies such as the everything bagel mochi dot and staples such as the Ube donut. I didn't know a doughnut could taste this way. If you like perfectly crispy on the outside while being fluffy and soft on the inside and an ever so slight chewiness, this donut is for you. You get all the great qualities of a doughnut without the excessive doughiness. A breath of fresh air that almost melts in your mouth. But there really is no surprise once you talk to the ownership. What we're dealing with here is an artist who chose their medium as a breakfast pastry. You need to be aware that all of the small details that add up to a perfect whole have been meticulously thought out and crafted beforehand through trial and error. The authentic recipes and attention to detail are a direct reflection of the visionaries behind the restaurant and if you're lucky enough to catch them during a slow moment, chatting with the food artists accentuates the overall experience even more. It must be emphasized that the recipes are something that would make anyone feel at home (even Japanese locals based on the moving stories the owner told us). The service and ambience was beyond compare. The owner walked us through every single flavor that they had and some of the inspiration that went behind it. In conclusion, do yourself a favor, put down the phone, and pick up a doughn at Mochidot Donuts.

How much for a dozen assorted?

Hi Buzzy! Donuts are $3.00 but when you buy a dozen it drops the price to $2.50/per donut so $30 plus tax.

The coffee cream on it was average -- just basically didn't taste as good as it looked. Unfortunately I can never get those calories back, LOL. The Korean iced milk coffee was good but honestly couldn't taste a difference from regular coffee. Overall the presentation was top notch but the actual tasting experience was less than average. Please tell me if anyone in France would ever stir a real hot coffee in a proper cup and saucer with a plastic utensil. Anyone? Right. Please offer wooden stirrers to guests and bonus points for a real spoon for those of us who don't want a paper cup. It really makes a difference. It would be criminal to use plastic. The (Sort Of) Almond Croissant An almond croissant is the secret test. It's like tasting vanilla at an ice cream store. Forget the others. This is the litmus. But before we talk almond, I had to do a double take on the receipt that thankfully I emailed myself. Because is this in Soho? West Hollywood? The Bay? How did this turn out to be $14? Because the almond croissant is $7. Say again. Never mind the best croissant spot in the West Village is less than that, but I took a bite, and oh my. I almost got up and said something. But I really was not in the mood. I had other things to attend to. Where do I start. Well, there was barely an almond to speak of. Hint of almond. The paste was like a disappearing act. But that I can handle. It was the texture. It was hard. Tasted old. Bland. Forgotten. Like someone forgot about the almonds, forgot them in the car. It was July 4th, and they remembered. I've had better croissants at airports. Ok, in the EU but you get the point. Did I just choose the wrong pastry, or the wrong day? They all looked pretty. Everyone got the berry thing. The Table My table was wobbly. Not awful but enough to be annoying. Between that and my phantom $7 almond croissant. The one left behind before someone remembered the almonds. That one. Can anyone use one of its cousins to hold up this table and fix this wobble? Might have been a better idea than breakfast. The Restroom Ok, cute idea to have a kitchen utensil as the restroom key. Nifty thought. Here's another. Can the liquid dispenser for soap be repaired or replaced? That too is wobbly and broken. You see the theme here. And dry hands. The (Bare) Display Case I had read about sandwiches. I love me an egg salad. The display case was bare. Maybe M-F? Lots of (plastic) pellegrinos. No Perrier or other sparkling in a real glass bottle. And definitely no Orangina. The Plants The plastic plants on each table. For the outdoors, sure. For an indoor French cafe table with $7 croissants, not so much. The theme again. The Staff They seemed stressed. I don't know why. When I ordered I felt more tension and rushed then a my corner pizza shop in NY. I don't get it. They tried though. Like it feels serious. High stakes. No smiles. All three not one smile. An Encore? Maybe. Overall, maybe. I don't know if I chose the wrong pastry and the wrong day. Could it be that. The Bread The bread looked good. I will give it that. And more expensive than my local bakery in NY. My Orwashers loaf purchased weekly is $12. And the slice it. And bigger. And they smile. But maybe if the bread is good, I am happy. It's hard to find good bread in Phoenix let alone this area. The Menu Please have it displayed somewhere with prices. Think that's a professional courtesy. I went online to see the menu from my phone. Or even a code to link. But something. A strange visit. Quite different than expected. I had hoped. Now I don't know. If anyone of the items mentioned are addressed for the next visit, whether the wobbly table, wooden stirrer or real spoon, or restroom soap, or even better a smile, or an almond more, I'd be vastly delighted. I'd love for this to work. There is time.

My favorite thing is the bodega bagel - your choice of bagel with cream cheese, tomato, and bacon. It's so nice being able to get a breakfast item without eggs (since I can't eat them) that is filling and delicious. I also love the m&m cookie and get one every time I go! The environment is so welcoming and inclusive, and all of the staff are friendly. The restrooms are not gendered and clean as well! We don't live close, but I love every excuse I have to visit.

From the display cases, the colors, the jars they sell their quick breakfast chia seed pudding in and the furniture, it's all really nice. The coffee flavors are all there. Food that people ordered looked fresh. I'd just say that my latte was sweeter than I expected. Next time, I'd have to order it less sweet.

This year, I've visited after work with coworkers and after work alone to get more work done. Despite the limited parking out front, there is free curbside parking beside and behind the coffee shop adjacent to the nearby businesses and residential area. There is ample space inside with various types of seating and ample charging and free wifi. The front area has window counter space and couches/love seats to lounge. The back area has small tables, large tables, desks with lamps, and a love seat. My only complaint is that this large area gets pretty hot in summer afternoons without adequate AC or fans back here. It was like this last year when I previously attended the evening coffee raves. Both times upon visiting recently in daytime, I ordered the Dark Horse latte, comprised of dark maple syrup, smoked sea salt, espresso, milk. I love this latte because it's sweet but also has depth from the smokiness and saltiness. While I think the coffee is on the pricier side, I'm incredibly satisfied with my drink choice regardless. Overall limited specialty drink menu (which is what I usually care about when exploring coffee shops) but many options in general. Seems like people mostly come here to be on their laptops opposed to socializing here, which I appreciate. This is an incredible spot to work, especially since they close later in the day at 6pm, offer free wifi, ample seating, ample charging.
