The donuts are so tasty and such fun flavors. I love the soft texture of the donuts and the flavoring is so subtle. I contacted the business to see if the donuts were gluten free and made out of rice flower. They responded quickly and let me Know that they were not gluten-free but gluten friendly to those with just a gluten intolerance. They are made with half wheat and half rice flour. I've been here 2 times within a week and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I confess, it is an addiction. They're my supplier. Specifically, the PB&J donuts. Not only do I need a constant fix, but I have introduced my roommate to the product. *sigh* There is no seating inside, and that is probably a good thing because these donuts barely make it out of the parking lot as is. I'm smart. I try to take a driver with me so I can inhale them on the ride home. Product is consistently good. Service is consistently good. Facility is consistently clean. This will already be part of a bi-weekly routine, if not weekly, I feel. Check this place out. They box 'em all nice and pretty, too, so these would work as gifts. My awesome neighbor brought me some donuts from Mochidot Donuts. After my first bite, I knew immediately I needed to come here and buy more. Their donuts are so delicious! They make great donuts, but there is something yummy about eating donuts in ball shape, haha. They change their menu every month, but also keep in a few of their flavors every month. I'm not a fan of bubble tea (sorry, don't come for me!) so when my kids want tea next door at Regions, I get myself a mochi donut and it always makes me happy! I love that these donuts are fairly light, have an amazing chewy texture, and the frosting/flavors are subtle and not overly sweet. The donut itself is also not that sweet, which makes it a great simple dessert after a meal. The folks behind the counter are super helpful when contemplating flavors. I absolutely LOVED the pumpkin spice donut. The matcha one was a little overpowering for me, but I'm also not a HUGE fan of matcha in general, I realized :) The plain honey donut is always reliably good. Definitely recommend, though if you go later in the day they are often out of some flavors (which is a good sign!). read more

I really loved the donuts here, and I will be back very soon!! Here are some notes I wrote based on my last visit during the fall: - Beautiful in the store, but no seating. Thankfully there is a boba shop next door. - Their mochi donuts are fried fresh throughout the day! - I ordered some of their fall seasonals and was very impressed by all of them. The flavor combinations were unique and exciting to the palette. I especially loved the apple cardamom donut, which tasted like a homey apple pie, and the pear spiced donut with a hint of ginger in it. Their cranberry orange flavor was also good but could have been punchier/more tart. (I suspect its flavor is carried more heavily by the neutral white chocolate base.) It was a good donut nonetheless - it just had some stiff competition since I loved the other two donuts I tried! - The donut part was fried nicely; a very light crisp without feeling oily. I could probably eat these all day. Needless to say, I'll be back to try their new seasonals! read more

Wow! Found this little gem while searching for a place to eat dinner in the area -- and we should have just eaten Mochidot for dinner. LOL! Stopped in 11/18/23 and the young gal behind the counter was so exuberant and happy, friendly and very outgoing. She was very excited to tell us all about the place and their rotating menu (it changes every month). The parking lot is a bit small and was crowded on a Saturday early evening, so be careful pulling in and out. The only thing I wished Mochidot had was boba tea drinks. We got a half dozen to be able to sample various flavors. We loved the unique options of flavors. Less sweet than a traditional donut which I loved but you should be aware of if you're expecting something comparable to a classic glazed. Personal favorite was the red bean based one (I forget the name). Key lime was not that good but the others were all fine. I will say the day we went they were a little harder than others I have had (typically more airy and chewy on the inside) so I'm not sure if it was just that batch or if that is consistent. And yes that was right after opening so I don't think that it's just that they had been sitting out. The space is clean and pretty but there is no seating. read more

I love that there is a mochi donut shop in this region of the valley. It is much needed and I'm glad it's a good one. I actually heard about the boba shop next door and was surprisingly shocked and happy to find a place with mochi in the title right next door. Inevitably, I had to pay a visit and boy did it pay off. It was relatively new but I was greeted so warmly by the owner and it was a lovely experience. The aesthetic is on point and I like how they their quota for the day and when they sell out, they're out. Additionally, they rotate their menu every month to keep things fresh. I have tried the black sesame and the ube mochi donut. Both were great. I went on two different occasions and I could see the improvement over time. After thr first time, I wished the black sesame had a stronger black sesame flavor but the ube was great. I like a bit more of a chew to my donuts which that did improve over time too! It's a great shop and I hope it sticks around. I will be back soon to try the other flavors! read more

We loved every flavor we've tried so far, and love the fact that they come up with unique ones rather than sticking to all of the traditional flavors you normally see elsewhere. The texture is also amazing and has just the right amount of chewiness. We got to speak to the owners a bit and both the husband and wife are incredibly sweet. We can tell they're very passionate about their business and care so much about the quality of their product. Friends! I tried MochiDot Donuts today and the mochinuts were amazing! What is a mochi nut you ask? It is a donut with an irresistible and satisfying chewy texture. The donuts here are a bit more expensive than the average donut, so it's a special treat, but we are happy they are here! Four stars because parking was an issue, but the mochinuts are innocent of that charge. Besides, parking is my human assistant's problem, not mine. Swung by here the other day on a Saturday, around 5pm. While there, they had 3 flavors remaining of whatever goodness they baked that day. I am a sucker for deals and cost-effectiveness lol so I went for the half dozen (16.50 I think). $3 for a single donut. Price is competitive and on par with the other mochi donut place in the valley that I've tried, in case anyone thinks this seems pricey. So ended up snagging 2 of each of the 3 flavors they had left. This is my 2nd experience with mochi donuts. Needless to say, I now consider myself at the very least, a mochi donut enthusiast. Was able to very briefly chat with the owner or manager who asked how I heard about the business and went on to mention how the cream is made in-house (I would imagine and hope so). Overall, just based on proximity alone (I live 6 min away), I will be back too often for my waistline's liking. It's always cool to support local business so I guess I just need to up my gym sessions. read more

You can tell the food is fresh. And they are def only in limited quantity. Service is just fine and friendly. There was no where to sit which was very disappointing. Arrived at 6:50. Store said it closes at 7pm. It was completely empty when we arrived so i guess they closed early for the day. If you're planning on coming on Sunday make sure to come waaaay earlier than 7 so you don't miss them i guess? With all that said, i am rating them based off their hours not the quality or taste of their donuts because i didn't get the chance to try them. Went here last week on my visit to Phoenix. Had a Vietnamese Coffee donut and it was pretty good. It was nearly closing time so I wasn't expecting too much, there was only that one donut and maybe 15 or so Ube flavored ones left. The owner apparently told the worker "give them 10 percent off.... IF they buy all the remaining donuts" LOL got it, let me just buy all the leftover ube donuts right before closing time so I can get a whopping 10 percent discount. read more

Amazing Mochi donuts in Phoenix! I tried the ube as well as Funfetti and both were incredible. I loved the mochi texture in each bite and the portion of frosting to donut was perfect. The service was awesome, both of the employees I talked to were super friendly and went out of their way to give good recommendations. The storefront is clean, sleek, and very modern minimalist.
