I've had the luxury of stopping by at the end of October. To be honest, my main draw here is always the Korean corn dog. The donuts are secondary (even though they are amazing too). I absolutely love the classic beef dog with potatoes in the batter...the crispiness of the fried potatoes with the greasiness of the hot dog....divine. There are a few different batter options and you can choose from hot dog, cheese, or both for the filling. There are also several different dipping sauces to pick from. The garlic aoli is my favorite. If you haven't had a Korean corn dog before-note that they do sprinkle the corn dogs with sugar. I always have to request light sugar, because otherwise the sweet is too much. But the sugar really does add something, so I can't fully skip it either. The donuts are amazing...light and chewy with delicious glazes and beautiful and clever details that match the season. Since the underlying donuts are all the same (I think?), the real magic comes in the toppings and glazes. These glazes change--I've never seen repeat flavors any of the times I've been here. Updating my review from over 3 years ago! So they've definitely improved since opening! Lines are shorter and service is much faster. Staff is also friendly. I've been coming here quite often actually. I normally get their 1/2dz so that I can taste each of the different flavors they offer. Flavors are often rotating. I enjoy anything chocolate and their ube has become one of my go-to. For half the dozen it's about $16 and some change. The decoration on them are adorable. Today I got just a 3 pack, after we had dinner at Hino. I picked the Black Sesame Churro, Chocolate Funnelcake, and the Matcha. All yummy, my fave was the Black Sesame Churro-- then again, I always gravitate to Sesame flavors and especially anything churro flavored. There's just something about the texture... the chewiness of the mochi donuts that I love. Also, that they break into tiny donut holes basically and are so addicting and easy to pop into your mouth! With the right flavor, you've got yourself the perfect snack! Their Korean dogs are also good... it's a little (or a lot, depending how busy) wait for the dogs but it's worth it. At least you know it's fresh! I prefer just cheese but they also have the beef option for you...as well as different flavor/sauce choices. Loved this place!! Great service, fast too. The place is small and quiet, it doesn't have any seating though which would be fine if it wasn't raining today and we could sit outside. But hey that didn't stop us from eating in the car. I've had Korean k dogs before but not like this! They were delicious, the drinks were really good as well. I definitely recommend this place if anyone wants to try a K dog and try out their sauces you can pick multiple ones if you'd like. Love this place! Me and my son's favorite place to get a Korean corn dog. They know how to do it right. From the texture to the taste. My son likes the original cheese with sugar no sauce. And I usually do the half dog half cheese wit sugar and buldak sauce with spicy mayo. Best to eat it while hot n fresh cus you get a nice cheese pull. And this is my first place I ever tried mochi donuts. I'm usually not into mochi but the texture mixed in with the donut texture is fun to eat. I like how you can just pull a ball and pop it in your mouth LOL. Chewy and soft at the same time. I think they have different flavors for each month. I just happen to go in April and I wasn't a fan of much of the flavors they had. But I've tried other flavors they had before and they are delicious. Service is always spot on. Maybe I came on a bad day considering the stellar reviews. I love mochi donuts! I love the chewiness and slightly bouncy texture and their subtly sweet toppings. However, Mochinut was a huge letdown. It was a Sunday morning so I was the only one in the store. Service was quick, not unfriendly but very un personable. I wasn't thrilled with the choices, but I opted for the chocolate cherry. The donut was cold, felt like it had been in a refrigerator. It was hard, and lacked the bouncy chewiness that characterizes mochi donuts. Service was horrible with Mecca Moua. We came into the shop and there was 1 costumer ahead of us. When the costumer was finished, we ordered a dozen and 1 coffee boba. Mecca asked if we wanted "2 of each or if we wanted to pick", I said "pick." After we paid, she immediately started to pack an order of donuts (2 donuts each). We watched her as she packed, then she handed us the container. We told her, we actually wanted to pick the donuts. She made a comment "why didn't you tell me as I was packing," annoyed and sarcastic. We replied, "we didn't know you were packing our order,(since there was another costumer ahead of us), and we also said we wanted to pick the flavors." She switched out the donuts for the ones we wanted and said "here." Remember, my husband also ordered a coffee boba. We ordered at 5:35pm, and got the order at 5:555pm. 20 mins for 1 drink. I'm sure she purposely did not want to make our drink in a timely matter, due to her initially mistake(thinking it was our fault). Hopefully management sees this and corrects this behavior. Just a random thing I wanted to point out. The costumer ahead of us ordered 2 corn dogs and 1 drink. When the other worker in the back came to the front to give him his food, she didn't even pack his order in a bag. She just handed it to him like that, 2 containers and a drink. I will say that they are not that sweet, which was nice. All in all I would say 4/5 for the actual donuts. They lost stars with the wait time. We came on a Sunday. So just donuts and drinks. We waited in line (there were probably 3 folks ahead of us) for a few minutes, then ordered. We ordered a pack of 6, and we waited 20 minutes for them. Yikes!! I TOTALLY understand that they are new and probably understaffed (hence the odd times/availability of product), but it just makes me not want to send others here or go back myself, and therefore loss of stores. I will say the gals that helped us were nice enough and smiled, so customer service was nice enough. I don't quite remember how much a pack of 6 was, but I think it was around $14 or $15. (I can't help but think that I pay less than this for a dozen donuts from other local donut shops.) So if $ is an object, this place would be a concern. So happy a Mochinut opened in Fresno! I arrived at 11:30 am hoping to get some Mochi donuts and Korean corn dogs. When I got there, there was a line of people outside. I soon learned that even though they open at 11am, you can't start ordering the corn dogs till 12pm. I decided to wait the 30 minutes to order some corn dogs. I was the 4th party in line to order my 2 corn dogs, and I had to wait 25 minutes for them to be done. Mochinut needs to be faster and more efficient. I cant imagine how long it would take if they were really busy. I enjoyed the corn dogs but probably wouldn't wait 25 minutes again for it. The mochi donuts are delicious! I ordered one of every flavor that day - taro, strawberry funnel cake, honeydew, churro, original, and white chocolate raspberry. They are perfectly chewy and have a great texture. With much anticipation for this place to open up, and finally it did! I came here during their soft opening from 11am-3pm. This donut chain sells mochi donut , that's a little different than your traditional donuts. It has a nice little chew and bounce to the dough. It is beautifully made and each donut looks almost identical to the rest. I love how they are almost like a string of pearls where you can pull an ball off the donut and eat it or just take a bite out of it as you normally do with a donut. The donuts are as sweet as the traditional donuts The donuts come in 6 different flavors. -chocolate butterscotch, mango coconut, matcha, cookies n' cream, strawberry funnel cake, and churro. I appreciate how each tray of donuts gets it's own spatula so there is not cross contamination from the other donuts. Each mochi donut is handle with care and isn't picked up by hand. They are placed carefully in the box. 3 piece donut $9 Half dozen donut $16.50 Dozen donut $30 They also sell milk tea in a can. You can order them with boba if you like. I got the matcha milk tea with almond milk and I enjoyed it very much so. Good strong matcha taste and it was not overly sweet. I did had boba in mine but think they need to cook the boba a little longer since it was a little more firm. The milk tea flavors are -brown sugar, matcha, black tea, and Thai tea. They were quite busy on their side opening but I think they handled it well. It looked like they were prepared for a lot of people to come and made plenty of donuts. Donuts were good and the texture is reminiscent of mochi donuts I've had in the past, a little chewy and airy on the inside. I'm just not a fan of the icing. Of the six flavors, I only enjoyed two of them. The ones I didn't like were too sweet. Plus I was expecting the taro flavor to be in the donut and not the the icing.
