I love Korean hot dogs. I've never tried the Cheetos dog version so I decided to try this place out. I mean I love hot Cheetos. Sure enough it didn't disappoint, I got their all mozzarella one and with every bite it just kept getting better. My only thing was that I wish the crust would have been crunchier and I wish I would have gotten a sauce on the side to dip other than that it was tasty. Their mochi donuts I mean you can't go wrong with them they were exceptionally tasty as well.
I was shopping in the mall and passed by the mochinut counter and had to stop and get some donuts. They have quite a selection to choose from which is really nice. It wasn't busy at all, which was perfect for me. I decided on the Ube, black sesame, and churro donuts. I brought them home and just tried them. They are so fresh and delicious. Pillowy soft with a nice mochi chew. My favorite was the ube flavor with the fruity pebbles on top. I'll definitely be back to try other flavors as well as the Korean corn dogs.
Was super excited to see a new mochi donut place pop up and in Oakridge Mall out of all places, love seeing new food additions! The mochi donut flavorings looked enticing and they even had Korean Corn Dogs. So decided to give it a go. Get in line and self order at the cashier kiosk. Ordered 6 mochi donuts; ube, strawberry, chocolate, cookies and cream and matcha. As well as a half cheese and hot dog corn dog. The corn dog was pretty good! Bigger portion compared to other places like Myungrung, good cheese pull and nice and crisp exterior. They also offer other types like potato, instant ramen, flamin hot cheetoes to even crunchy cereal coatings. The mochi donuts on the other hand, although looked nice visual, were a bit of a let down. They were firm, dry and lacked the fun chewy texture you get with mochi donuts. Not sure if it's from donuts being stale or their oil being too hot. But it made me glad I only purchased 6, bc regrets. A bit pricy, but would def return for the corn dogs if every shopping here again.
My family and I were walking around the mall on a Saturday afternoon around 2 pm and lucky enough to find a short queue. Usually, I avoid attempting to line up since it's popular that the queue is long. That day was different. PARKING: Since this place is inside the mall, the closest parking lot you want to go to is near 99 Ranch Market. Spacious parking lot but you may have to walk a bit since the close parking spaces are usually filled up. AMBIENCE: I like the clean aesthetic and the bright light fixtures. Instagrammable venue that is eye catching. They don't have tables near the place to enjoy your donuts, so it's mostly to go or take a table far from the stand. SERVICE: It's self serve via an iPad, but they have a staff member stationed right in front in case you have any questions. ORDERS: We ordered the 6 donut box for $17.99. The price point is broken down to $3 per Mochi donut. That was the better buy to me instead of getting a 12 pack for $34.99, only saving a $1 difference. All across the board the donuts though were delicious, fluffy, light as air, and semi-sweet. I like the aesthetic of each donut and the strawberry pocky with the strawberry donut was a nice touch. RATING: We ended up finishing the entire box within the same day, so definitely good.
Our girls love Korean Corn Dogs and we have been to a number of Mochinut locations. We were really excited to discover that a Mochinut location opened by us in the Oakridge Mall. We have been here multiple times. This location is always busy and the average wait is ~20 minutes for the corn dogs. The corn dogs are made to order so when you get it, it's fresh and hot from the fryer. We have arrived twice late in the evening (~7pm) and they had run out of the batter for the corn dogs so now we make sure that we get there no later than 6pm. Our girls (7 & 9) love the Potato Mozzarella and I like both the Original Potato and the Original Hot Cheetos. They have always been consistently good. We have also ordered some of their Boba drinks and it's cool that they serve it in what looks like a clear soda can. Their boba drinks are average so I would not go there just for that. Also as of late they have been charging $0.35 for the box to carry the corn dogs home. You can also order online which I am going to start doing to avoid the wait. One day we will get some donuts but right now we are all about the corn dogs.

My only critique would be that they should have maybe one more check out terminal. I got stuck behind an older woman who was not very tech savvy and it took FOREVER for her to complete her order.

I would say the mochi donuts here seem pricier than other places though, so was expecting a little bit more, but they were average to me. I was really excited for the black sesame, but they just put glaze on a fresh donut, so there was no flavor, as you can see from the glaze, it's not much. The matcha was too sweet for my taste. The ube was good, but didn't think the addition of fruity pebbles was necessary. Will try the Korean hot dogs next time though.
Yay, this spot is finally open after what seemed like a super long time with a "coming soon" sign along with giant pictures of yummy looking mochi donuts. I tried the matcha, strawberry and ube flavors. I like them in the order I listed them. One nit is they don't have hand sanitizer which is more than a nice to have when everyone has to order using the self serve kiosk. The online ordering systems are so much better.

I debated on either getting their coffee milk tea or Thai milk tea, but after looking at the pictures, the coffee milk tea looked more milky than coffee, so I ended up getting the Thai tea. I also got a mango mochi donut to go along with my drink. I was hoping to really like the mango flavor mochi, but it somehow tasted a bit sour to me. Not sure if it's supposed to taste like that, but my sister took a bite and she likes it, so it was all hers. The Thai tea boba doesn't taste that good either. I expected to have a strong Thai flavor like in other boba shops, but it tasted more vanilla-y to me with a hint of Thai tea. It tasted off, so I personally wouldn't order this drink again.

The mochi.donuts are ok ive had better but what disappointed me what there boba drinks. I ordered a thai tea with boba and it had no flavor. I littlerly threw it away. There are other boba drink around the area way better.
The hot Cheeto Korean Rice dog was very vinegary and the hot Cheetos tasted off, I took one bite and almost threw up. Definitely don't recommend this flavor.

I was really disappointed with my experience. Charging customers extra just for a box to put the mochi donuts in feels unreasonable. A box should be included with the purchase, especially when it's needed to carry the donuts safely. It's a small thing, but it leaves a bad impression and makes it seem like the business is nickel-and-diming customers. I hope they reconsider this policy. Not coming back on this read more

Stopped in at Mochinut for a snack while we were at the mall Christmas shopping. Service was good and we went with the 3 mochinut special. We chose three flavors being the mango ube and strawberry. They were delicious and rich in flavor so we gad to pace ourselves sharing one between the both of us. read more
I was not a fan of the mochi donut or their overly sweet drinks. However, their hotdogs were amazing. Service was mediocre as there were no interactions until you get the food. There was no seating either, we end up sitting where the 99 ranch seatings were. Overall the place was ok, but I will definitely be back for their hotdogs. read more

- Ube Mochi Donut: It was okay. The ube flavor wasn't that strong and the cereal on top was pretty stale. 2/5. - Churro Mochi Donut: It would have tasted better if the donut had more cinnamon sugar on it since it was pretty lacking. Because it didn't, it tasted like a mochi donut with a hint of cinnamon. 2/5. - Mango Mochi Donut: The best of the 3. It had a nice flavor though I wouldn't say it's a strong mango flavor--more like a strong yummy flavor lol. 4/5. - Thai Tea w/boba (in a can): My boyfriend said it was okay. It was maybe worth it for the can in terms of convenience, but not the taste. 2/5. The guy, who we felt was probably the manager, was really helpful and even gave us a sample of one of the flavors (I think it was one of their new flavors). Him alone, 5/5 stars lol. read more
I got the half and half hot Cheetos. I've had this style hotdog before, but had to travel to Cupertino for it. This one kinda sucked... even though the dough was hot ish, it was not crispy. It was soggy and oily causing the Cheetos to absorb all the oil thus also becoming soggy. The cheese had a good cheese pull but it wasn't good. It was rubbery tasting... the hotdog part, was just ok, even though hotdogs are cooked, this felt a little undercooked. It looked delicious ... but it was a bit of a disappointment read more
Luckily I was the first in line before they opened at 11am. By the time I ordered there was already about 15 people behind me. The donut itself was really tasty and chewy . I bought 2 of every flavor and ate only the black sesame and churro one. The reason I have to take a star away is because when ordering , you have to order in the computer in the front. Since I'm not really a tech savvy kind of guy that made it kinda difficult for me. I eventually figured it out but when ordering food I prefer to order it directly with a person. So I can just tell them what I want and ask questions if needed. I do understand they might have a problem with finding employees but it is what it is. Good donut, will definitely be back!! read more

These mochi donuts are fresh, delicious, and chewy. They have a wide range of flavors and they also have the mochi hotdogs. I have not had a mochi hotdog there, so I cannot comment on that but the mochi donuts are delicious. The reason why I gave this place 4 stars is because after I paid for my donuts, I noticed there was a $.50 box charge. When you buy three or more donuts, they stick them in a box, but they didn't ask me whether i wanted a box or a bag. I feel like the box charge is a junk fee that a lot of merchants sneak in. If they had asked, I would've just told them to throw it in a plastic bag because I really don't need a box. So if they could clean that part up, I would give them 5 stars. Donuts are pricey, but you do get a better deal. If you buy three I would go there again if I was in the mall in was craving a doughnut. read more

Been on a MAJOR doughnut bender lately. This goes in my top 3 doughnuts in San Jose area so far. I usually don't like chocolate frosted doughnuts because it usually tastes artificial. But this one tasted like REAL chocolate. read more

Haven't been to Westfield Oakridge since pre-pandemic and so much has changed! Mochinut is new and I love Mochi donuts! Rip new year resolutions lol. Mochi donuts were super fresh and crispy outside with chewy inside and not too sweet! Corn dogs were fried to order so had to wait a few minutes for it but great as well! Will definitely be back! read more

Ube boba in a can, looks cool but that's about it. Ube from here is literally ube flavored syrup w added sugar, it was super sweat. They just pulled from the fridge, they don't make them to order(well atleast not the one I got) You cant drink it from the can or w a straw from all the ice either. This was my First and last time. Stopped by this place whilst shopping at Oakridge mall, wasn't busy at the time I stopped. In the past I have seen long lines here so I have often wondered what it was like and jumped at the chance I saw that there was no line. I asked the cashier to suggest what the most popular items were but she didn't really do a good job of explaining it. Nevertheless I bought a couple of different dogs to try. I waited around 5 mins for the dogs to come out, so I was surprised that the hot Cheetos mozzarella dog was served cold whilst the ramen dog was only slightly warm. Also both were not as crunchy as I expected them to be or as crunchy as they looked to be. The dogs are big so definitely worth the price for what you are getting. But I just felt slightly disappointed with the service and quality. Also wasn't expecting the additional 35c each to go box charge so if you are eating at the mall don't get the to go boxes. It's not much but still didn't see it until later. Overall just an 'ok' experience. read more

I was recently introduced to Korean "corn dogs" and now I'm hooked. However, they put way too much sugar on it here for my liking -- it was like eating a donut. Maybe I can request less sugar next time. read more

I've been here twice already: on their grand opening day when they were just selling donuts and later when they started selling all their food. On the grand opening day they had about 6 options of Mochi donuts and they were all pretty fresh. If you followed them on Instagram they would give you a free donut which was nice. I just wish I had known that they weren't going to be selling all their food because I was really looking forward to the corndogs. This day we tried the taro, strawberry, cookies and cream, and sesame donuts. My favorite was the strawberry! The second visit we also got the churro donut, coffee boba, and two corndogs. I was disappointed that they weren't doing the half sausage/half cheese option this day. Instead I got the potato mozzarella corndog and my boyfriend got the potato sausage corndog. Both were really good and filling! I hope they offer the half options soon and also maybe offer more sauce options. We both really enjoyed the coffee boba, it wasn't too sweet and the cup was very cute. The churro donut was also very tasty. There was a bit of a wait both times and the staff seemed pretty stressed out. I understand that they're just starting out and they need some time to get the hang of things, so I'm definitely willing to go back and try all their food again. read more

I was so excited to finally try a Korean hot dog! I decided to try the classic one with potato. Did half mozzarella, half hot dog. They made my corn dog fresh so it took about 5 minutes to get it. Staff was friendly and the ordering experience was pretty chill. The corn dog itself didn't impress me. It tasted like old frying oil, and the cheese was not very flavorful. The sauce they added was pretty good (you choose the sauce) but overall I wouldn't get this again. I do like their donuts, and maybe I'll give another corn dog flavor a chance but not this one. read more
