I usually don't love mochi donuts when they're no longer warm, but Mochinut makes a good box and keeps their dough tasting fresh. Original is always great, and they have a ton of fun flavors like Matcha and Ube and they'll even experiment with things like Dubai Chocolate. I was very close to walking out but I just wanted a drink. She finally hangs up. Hen I had to explain for the 5/6th time that I wanted to drinks. And to add boba to ONE. I was literally the only customer t She gave me the boba for free and said that it's a dollar extra for every drink and I'm like again I just wanted it on one drink. If you wanted the extra dollar so badly then I'll pay it. Just at least pay attention to your customers instead of your phone call. The whole transaction probably took close to 10 minutes because her phone call was so important to her. And of course. The drink was made wrong. Doesn't look anything like the picture. I do not recommend this business for large orders. I placed an order in person for four dozen boxes as my kid's bday treat at school, a few days in advance and I paid in advance. The cashier at the time had me fill out an order form, which I did, along with my contact information, flavors, and quantity. On the day of the pick up, I fully expected the boxes to be ready, and easy, quick pick up. I also allowed ~30 min buffer from the requested pick up time just in case. This is what happened: 1) no one was at the register, I had to yell "hello" a few times to get someone to come out from the back kitchen 2) this lady had no idea what I was talking about 3) luckily she found a copy of my order form, but she insisted that it wasn't paid until I showed her my receipt 4) she asks to clarify the flavors I wrote and just tells me that some flavors are not available 5) she says she prepared only one box, because that's what it said on the order form. It did have the correct qty. Her error. 6) she says of the ordered flavors they did have, there aren't enough, so she ended up making the boxes on the fly and substituting with different flavors. If it wasn't for my kid waiting for the donuts already at the school...I would've asked for a full refund and walked away. Finally, after we managed to make four boxes of random flavors somehow that was so different from the original order... she says "next time, please confirm the order one day before." Mochi donuts are my favorite kind of donuts. They are light, flavorful, chewy, and addicting. However, there are flavors that I like better than others. it's a personal preference. I'm not a fan of any of the chocolate flavors. And the funnel cake and fruity pebbles were just okay My favorites are red velvet, ube, strawberry, honey glazed, and nutella. The mango seemed artificial. Matcha had a slight bitterness to it, which i liked. They also have premade Boba drinks in a can. The Boba quality isn't what you expect from fresh Boba, but it is pretty decent if you go in with that expectation. Definitely coming back. read more

The good: The interior of this place is massive! There were high ceilings and tons of space to lounge around. I was shocked at how big this mochi donut spot was. There was also some bumping music. They sell drinks too. This is a great spot to hangout with friends. I tried the suggested Korean rice corn dog #5 as well as a box of 6 mochi donuts for $18. The price was very fair. The worker was nice. The corndog was freshly fried and tasted great. They have outdoor seating as well. They have a lot of mochi donut flavors to choose from. Their boxes are super cute and pink and make for a great gift or item to bring to a potluck or work function. The bad: Overall, I think mochi donuts don't beat yeast raised donuts but they are still fun and yummy. Do not expect fluffy and light because mochi is supposed to be chewy and heavy. Let me start by saying I really wanted to like this place. It's located in a place I frequent and hoped it would thrive. A former Starbucks, so I had high hopes. The other reviews seem positive so perhaps I'm missing something. Decor: appears like they just moved in and yet I think they've been here two years. Boxes stacked up against a wall. A wire rack that seems to have no purpose just sadly standing next to the tables/seats. Service: worker was friendly enough. Very nice smile. No negatives, nothing outstanding. I was given the wrong wifi password twice but eventually she got to the right code. (It wasn't posted anywhere.) Ambiance: music was ear blasting. I had to request it turned down. The place was empty the duration of my visit so I'm not sure why it was turned up. Bathroom was fairly clean but the sink looked maybe stained instead of dirty? I hope that's what it was. I noticed no one hung around this enormous place after getting their orders. I'd expect to see folks sitting and reading or working online. Having grown up in PV, I don't recognize the PV mall without Starbuck's. However, I'm not mad about Mochinut taking its place. Despite Mochinut having locations all over, I hadn't tried their mochi donuts until I went to their PV location. They had a pretty good variety; I opted for the mango, pistachio, and ube. The person helping me told me that the pistachio flavor was new and I can't say I've seen a pistachio-flavored donut before, so I was excited to try. All three flavors were super good! The donuts were the perfect texture as well. Although the pistachio was good, my fav was the ube. If I'm in the PV area again craving a sweet treat, I know where to go! read more

I really enjoyed the food here. I ordered the crispy ramen hotdog and felt it's the best Korean rice hotdog I've had. Does take about 5 minutes to prepare for absolutely worth it. It comes pipping hot and it's super crispy. There is sweet spicy sauce, ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce on the side. We also got a special mochi donut which was pretty expensive ($4). Flavors vary daily, so they only offer whatever flavors you see behind the case. I purchased the 3/$9. All chocolate. I also got a coffee boba. They make it fresh to order. It's served in a plastic container shaped like a can. I was getting into shaking it up before popping it open. Because they recently opened this location, formerly a Starbucks, the interior is nice and clean. Plenty of indoor seating, with hand sanitizer on each table. I would recommend outdoor seating as well. This is a privately owned family business. Polite youths working behind the counter. Plenty of free, mall parking. read more

This is an interesting place but you need to know what you're getting into, as it may not be quite what you expect. Yes, they have donuts (a lot of donuts) but they are not called donuts, they are called mochinuts. What these are is a kind of donut shaped food item but as they are created with, at least in part, rice their flavor is very different. I'm not a fan, but that's just me. They have several drinks, mostly offered in cans, plus espresso and latte. Their latte is good. The high point of their drink menu is their boba drinks as they actually serve them to you in a high-end plastic container with a pop-top like you would find on a soft drink. Again, I'm not a boba fan so I'm probably not the best one to judge, but the drink presentation is very nice. The interior space of this business is very open, large, and inviting so it is a nice place to sit back and enjoy what they have offer. As I came here when they were first opening, they are not yet offering all they will apparently have like their rice dogs and teas. But, I guess those are coming soon. I saw an advertisement for Mochinut on Instagram, and was really intrigued so I went to check it out with a few friends. They were still setting up and had a "soft" opening on June 10th, so all they had were milk teas. I ordered the Matcha milk tea, and my friend got a brown sugar milk tea. The matcha milk tea was very pleasant, not overwhelmingly sweet, yet fairly strong. The boba was nice as chewy as well. The cups they provide the drinks in are very unique, sort of like a soda can top and a plastic cup. My only complaint is it can be difficult getting to all the boba from this kind of top. Overall I enjoyed my experience. I will be back once they have Mochi Donuts (which I was told will be this upcoming week). read more

It was the groups first time checking out Mochinut. Once arriving, the location was easy to spot due to being next to the parking lot. We were in the front entrance in no time! Once in the location we noticed the amount of space and tables, as well as outdoor seating with umbrellas . This is a very good location to come to if needing to get some work done, especially with wifi being available. The music was a good touch and the place felt very welcoming. The group ordered a total of 3 donuts for the price of $10 which is great value due to the uniqueness and different variety of donuts they provide. The donuts that we ordered were the Nutella, Milk Pebbles, and the Choco Snow The Nutella Donut: WITH ONE BITE, YOULL BE HOOKED! Very chocolaty, sugary, and creamy Milk Pebbles: the milk pebbles donut was very tasty, each bite was filled with flavor, it left me with an after taste which was very pleasing. Choco Snow Donut: very chocolaty and got very addicting with each bite. This donut reminds me of a calm and cozy morning by a campfire. This spot has replaced the Starbucks that was here prior and it's probably for the best. I'd been wanting to stop by and check this place out but didn't have any reason to be in that specific pocket of PV til recently. After studying the menu I was excited to try the rice dog which comes in so many interesting and tempting varieties but since I had never had one before I went for the classic Mozzarella. The attendant behind the counter was very helpful and asked very appropriate questions to be able to assist me in making the right order for me to enjoy. This was really appreciated bc most would have just offered their personal favorite and moved on. This felt personal and genuine. The attendant, I didn't ask his name, though I probably should have, was very polite and attentive to all the patrons needs while manning the whole place himself. He made time to acknowledge everyone personally, make polite small talk and still never stopped working the counter and to and from the workstation in the back. And he seemed really happy while doing it all which is bonus points in my book bc I've been to establishments where the attendants are always cribbing about one thing or another and have the worst "I hate my life" attitude. Moving on,. I didn't go in with any expectations when I decided to try the rice dog and I was so pleasantly surprised at how non greasy it' was for something that was clearly fried! It was crunchy, cheesy, not the nauseating kind, and fun to eat! I'm looking forward to trying the other variations of the same! The owner came in a while later when I was there and she didn't seem as friendly as her staff and was more focused on the functionality of the place etc which I understand since it is her business after all but the entire time I was there even though we locked eyes, she never smiled or even greet me.
