Drove from Downtown Long Beach over the bridge to San Pedro, right on Western and a little past Palos Verdes Drive, I arrived at this coffee house and churreria. If you weren't looking for it, its very possible to miss it this little storefront. Although, it already brightens up the block with its colorful mexican paint scheme. Walking inside, I could already see the attention to detail in celebrating mexican culture. There is art all over the place and the colors and wood do make you feel of beautiful mexico. Going up to the counter to order, they have a great deal of coffee drinks with mexican flavors from cafe de olla to different flavored cafe lattes to mexican hot chocolates. one of the reasons I came her was to satisfy my churro cravings. And they offer so many different types of churros. I opted for the the more traditional churros and they were amazingly delicious They come to like 5 or 6 in a box. I got my coffees and my churros and made my way to their back patio. This is such a magical place to sit and relax and enjoy your food and drinks. It is very peaceful. There are colorful mexican papel picado strewn across the top decorating the open air patio area. I really felt like I was in Mexico for a moment in time. The reason I did not get 5 stars and only gave 4 is they list their churros as traditional but they do not offer melted chocolate to dip their churros in. They do have other flavors but not melted chocolate. It is very odd to me that in Barcelona I can get churros and melted chocolate all day, but go to a place that represents Mexico that invented chocolate and adopted the Spanish churro you would think its a no brainer. Unfortunately, many mexican churrerias opt for using cheap nestle or hershey chocolate syrup to drizzle over churros and that is disappointing to me and does a disservice to "traditional" churros and the land that invented chocolate.

This is my second review of Azucanela! Got the guava & hibiscus refresher - yum!!! I would order this again. Came here on a weekday morning (just before noon) and it ended up being a perfect place to study: quiet, strong wifi, and plenty of parking. I'm excited to try more of their food menu items- everything I've had so far has been very tasty!!

Excellent location with phenomenal staff and delicious coffee / food! As a long time fan of Cafe de Olla, my dad found this spot and had been wanting to go for a long time. What I loved about this spot is seeing your traditional Mexican drinks with a vegan twist! We both got Cafe de Ollas with Almond Milk or Oat Milk. Absolutely delicious. These were not sweet and were filled with just delicious flavor! Then we ordered the churros which were vegan. Don't let that fool you - they were by far the best churros I've had. They were full of flavor and the right amount of sweetness. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to be back!

This place always pops up late night when I'm looking for desserts. I treated my son to a treat the night before his wisdom tooth removal. This place is so cute & charming . The churros are made fresh so be patient. The girl suggested the churro bites with strawberry & Nutella. Wow that hit the spot & the perfect size to share. I will definitely return and maybe try something different..

I was thrilled when this place opened not far from us. After several visits, I am definitely a huge fan of the churros. They are made to order and it is excellent! I wish the coffee was on par.. The coffee is too sweet and too weak for my taste. Will keep coming for the churros though.

Had to drop off my brother at SoFi Stadium and wanted to find a place to get some work done before heading home. Saw this place had caffeine options and was sold! PARKING: Literally just one or two spaces in front of the shop. Definitely go into the neighborhood to park then walk over. WHAT I ORDERED: Iced horchata latte THE DRINK: Pretty standard - the espresso wasn't mindblowing or anything, but this was a delicious latte and I'd definitely order it again. SERVICE: Very friendly and willing to answer questions. VIBES: GREAT vibes! It was a little cold when I went so I didn't sit in the outdoor area, but it's gorgeous and super aesthetic - would be nice to hang with some friends there. The inside is a bit more intimate, but there are outlets and wifi which make it great for working. BOTTOM LINE: I'll be back next time I'm in the area, especially to try their famous churros!

Cute restaurant, very colorful. The churro donut was good. Very sweet, worth a try. But the wait time is long because it is fresh to order and I don't think it's worth 12$ Strawberry horchata is good too, not too strong on the strawberry flavor and couldn't really taste cinnamon either. Very mild, that could be a pro or a con. Overall 3.5. Ambience makes it a 4!

Great neighborhood gem! So happy I found this spot. Great avocado toast and lattes. Plenty of open space to be seated. Service was great. Design is great. Churros were amazing. Parking in the back or the front. - Parking - Avocado toast - Design and ambiance - Churros - Lattes

Cafe De Olla and Strawberry Horchata. Both so yum!! Must try!

This place is vibrant! The moment you walk in you feel joyful from the ambiance to the multicolored walls to the people taking your order. It's all on point! The space is big inside and definitely room for teleworking, studying, or meeting with a friend or business meeting. My favorite spot is the additional patio space that's also eloquently painted with a beautiful sun and has a backdrop of faux plants. It's a beautiful hideaway spot to kick back and enjoy the beautiful day with a top notch cafe de la olla (real authentic Mexican flavor) and a Strawberry Horchata. .....and I'm both a coffee and horchata snob so this is saying a lot of azucanela. Well done! The churro bites were delish, the perfect amount of crunchiness, sweetness, and warmth to hit that sweet tooth craving. Mmmm mmm delicioso! Definitely stop by if you're in the SouthBay, you won't regret it! Enjoy! Pro Tip: Ask for the different dipping sauces for the mini churro bites that way you can select your favorite dipping sauce for your second visit!

Best coffee ever! I'm happy there's an Azucanela closer to my house now. The mazapan latte with soy milk is my go to! It's AMAZING...like best coffee I've ever had amazing. I wish this place opened earlier in the day so I could stop by before work. The woman who made my coffee this morning was lovely. The seating and outdoor area is cute...this is a great place for pictures. They have tasty pastries and a cute atmosphere. Don't be discouraged by the outside. You drive by it fast and it looks like it wouldn't be much but there's parking behind the building and it's a beautiful little gem when you walk inside! I would come here every day if I could.

Super cozy vibes with great customer service and delicious churros!!! Today was our first visit and although we got it to go, we sat in the car and ate half before we headed home. Today we got the churros with ice cream with marshmallow, chocolate drizzle and candied walnuts. When we went there was plenty of street parking, but I believe there is parking in the back as well. We have planned our next visit (tomorrow, yes open on Labor Day) with the rest of the fam! The menu looks so delicious and we look forward to trying it all!

While some of them are okay, we always ALWAYS end up coming back to Corridor Flow the next week. Yes there might be a chic looking cafe with some fancy fad drink or a roaster just opened up their new industrial styled flagship store. But look forward to copious amounts of sugar covering up the taste of badly roasted beans or concrete blocks used as chairs and grossly high water to bean ratios. It should be a crime to sell over a 15:1 ratio. So why do we keep coming back to Corridor. Obv the coffee is great. The normal drip blend is something all coffee shops in the southbay should look to as an example. They used to use stereoscope beans which is known to be one of the best local roasters, and probably have a partnership with them because the roast is still exceptional. The coffee is flavorful, great mouthfeel, NOT watered down, just enough complexity to keep you curious but not so intense it is not longer balanced. If you actually like coffee, real coffee. This is the spot. It's like a slightly lighter cup of handsome coffee and a way better bang for the buck than blue bottle. They are constant supporters of artists and small businesses in the community, they have awesome style, like seriously their branding is legit. There are plugs everywhere. Like everywhere. Even in the back shaded patio. It's a great spot for getting work done. They even have an entire back area coworking space with private phone booths, printers, and all sorts of business supplies. The business is family owned and run. I forgot the owners names but the guy is an amazing individual and constantly is walking around connecting with people in the shop. I recently complimented someone on their style and the owner happened to be sitting across from me working, and then complimented me for being aware, present, and noticing things that made other people smile. This guy literally complimented me on complimenting others. Dude is meta af. The community is great and this is a big plus. This coffeeshop tends to attract just really honest and good-hearted people. I've met so many cool people here that are passionate about pursuing great things and moving humanity forward. In this time and day where there is so much hate and animosity, this is one of those very rare places where people can connect again. There is seriously no other coffee shop like it. It's comfortable. It's perfect for first dates, casual lunches, catching up with old friends, taking the kids somewhere (they have a dedicated children's section), grabbing a great cup togo (thank you for that dedicated pickup parking spot). and of course, getting work done. We've introduced at LEAST 30 people to this hidden gem over the years, and almost every single one of them says this is the best coffee shop they've ever been to. Yes parking sucks. But it's worth it. I looked around for parking for almost 20 minutes a couple months ago. Blame the city, not the coffee shop. They basically shut off public parking for the whole street opposite of the shop. I hope you guys open up another location someday. I know it's hard to expand in this day and age, but you guys seriously have a fantastic formula. Bravo friends. Cheers.

I've always wanted to try their Orange County location but just never got around to it, so I was excited to finally give them a try. I walked in expecting it to be self-serve like 85 Degrees Bakery, but it's actually set up more like a donut shop or Porto's, where most of the pastries are displayed in a case and you tell the staff what you'd like. They do have a refrigerated self-serve section with sandwiches and onigiri, as well as a table with loaves of bread and buns. The ordering process caught me off guard because I usually like taking my time looking through all the pastries at bakeries. Since everything was behind the counter, I felt a little rushed with people waiting behind me. They have so many options that it can be a bit overwhelming. I also had to stop myself from ordering too much since I'm trying to cut back on carbs. Here's what I ordered: Hot Dog Bun - 4/5: Tasty with a soft, fluffy bun. I just wish it had a little more of that cheesy crust on top. Ham and Cheese Croissant - 3/5: My boyfriend ordered this and thought it was just okay. It was a little small for the price. Strawberry Cream Croissant - 5/5: They're known for this, and now I understand why. The pastry was light and flaky, the strawberries were sweet, and the custard was rich without being overly sweet. Spam Roll Onigiri - 4/5: I loved the egg, and it was really flavorful. It was served a bit cold, though. I think it would taste even better if it were kept under a heat lamp. Raisin Bun - 5/5: So soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of raisins. It was also a great value--six buns for only $4.20. Hot Vanilla Latte - 4/5: Strong with just a light sweetness. It was really good, but I think it could have been a little creamier. The prices were reasonable. I spent about $26 for everything, which I thought was a great deal. Customer service was excellent. Even though there was a line behind me, the staff never made me feel rushed while I decided what I wanted. The barista was especially friendly and even checked in afterward to ask if I liked my latte. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely come again.
