I love this place, it's the closest and most convenient location for me, and I come here pretty often. My go-to order is a simple guarana bowl with granola on the bottom and top, bananas, and extra honey. When everything is fresh, it's honestly one of the best açaí bowls around. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is that the quality can be a little inconsistent at times. Occasionally the granola doesn't taste as fresh (or maybe they switch to a different kind), and since it's such a big part of the bowl, it noticeably affects the overall flavor and texture. Their tradition blend is pretty good. I was disappointed with the fruit topping. I expected the extra money I paid for strawberry and mango to be fresh strawberry and mango. Instead they were macerated strawberry and mango. The Mango didn't even taste like mango, it has almost the same taste and texture as the dole peach in a cup. By far my favorite açaí bowl in South Bay. I have yet to find a açaí cafe or juice bar that outshines this place. It isn't an overpriced bowl and comes with good sized portions and they taste so good. I get the tropical bowl, it's sweet and tangy, comes with granola( as a topping and also at the bottom of the bowl) banana and honey. I add coconut strawberry and blueberry, sometimes together or alone since it only comes with one extra free topping for the regular size. I've been coming here for a few years now and I've learned over time to call ahead. As far as service, for the most part I am just walking in an and paying for my bowl so there is not much interaction to complain about. The place is small and clean every time I've come in, sure it could use a facelift maybe but it's not enough to stop me from coming here. I also visit the location in Redondo and they are consistent in making their bowls taste the same as this location. Definitely call ahead there can be a wait. Cute little spot tucked inside the plaza. It's the go to place for breakfast or even lunch . Love the freshness and that it is a true Açaí blend. This helps for those that may be allergic to certain fruits. (I have been to some places where they mix the açaí with berries and call it an "Açaí bowl" when probably there is barely any in it.) Clean cafe and you can order in advance if you are on the go. Mocha Coffee bowl is my go to but the Tropical is very popular. Staff is friendly and are helpful if you not sure what to get. If I could I would order one every day! Price seems high but with the economy nowadays, it's reasonable. Maybe because I have been going here for years so I have seen the price increase. We ordered one tropical bowl and one basic bowl, with the same toppings on each bowl. We did a pickup order. I asked in the order notes and in the special instructions section of the order to LABEL each bowl separately, since they look identical. Alas, the bowls weren't labeled. The tropical bowl has pineapple and mango blended into it, whereas the basic bowl is plain acai. The person who ordered the basic bowl is sensitive to pineapples.. and we essentially had to play Russian roulette and guess which bowl was which. We should have checked before we drove home. Ok so after my first review, which I gave a low score due to the amount that was packed into the container being so small, I had decided to give them another try. After all the owner said that he would bring it up to the staff. So on a free day, I had gone to two locations to see if in fact the portion issue has been addressed. Unfortunately, the bottom line is "NO". I have attached the picture of two locations to show the issue. Now to some it may not be a big deal, but if you're paying $11 for a regular serving, you'd expect to get it packed to the top. It's like going to McDonalds to buy a 10pcs nugget meal, but they only gave you 6pcs. See for yourself. One is packed full, while the other location still packs up to 75%(?) of the container size. At this point, it seems the staff have not learned, or the owner doesn't care to address the issue. I will say that I've never had an issue like this from Paradise Bowls, or other Acai bars. Update and message to Hasan (owner). I'd rather not tell you which location as I think that will do you and your staff a disservice. You mentioned in your last reply that you would address the issue to your staff. But clearly you didn't address all the staff at ALL your locations. Hence why this is still happening. If it was happening to me on a few occasions, I am sure it is happening to your other patrons. Maybe I'm just the first to speak out about it. I can forgive it once, twice, or maybe even three times, but I'm addressing it openly because it's clearly happened more than just a few times. I also don't want to complain to your workers in person because sometimes if the person doesn't like what you tell them, they can mess with your food/order. (I'm not accusing your staff of that). But I just prefer to let the owner know so that they can bring it up to their staff to make sure the issue won't be replicated again...to any customer. Unfortunately, this problem still persists even after your last comment/reply saying that it will be addressed. All I will recommend is that you tell all your staff at ALL the locations to make sure the portions are correct. Otherwise customer will feel short changed as I did. Not sure when I will or if I will return again. But for now, I will recommend for others to try other Acai bars to get their money's worth. read more

They have plenty of base options for your 'acai bowl'. I've had the *Tropical and Pitaya Paradise, both delicious. Granted, I like my bowls more solid than liquid. Each time, I received bowls that I had to eat quickly, or I would end up drinking it on the 10 minute car ride home. I stop by on Thursday 10/16/25 with my daughter and she order a tropical bowl with mango on top before having to go to the hospital. The service was ok but honestly ok service can not over look the fact that while eating her bowl she found several pieces of hair as well as cardboard in the smoothie bowl . However, I have ordered acai from here 2 times in the past few months and I must say that it has been growing on me. There are a few positives that Beach Bowls is able to offer over the competition. They have a large selection of bowls & smoothies to choose from. In addition, they have a lot more choices for toppings versus some other places. The menu is very straightforward. All bowls come with banana (topping), granola, and honey. For mini and small bowls - you get 1 topping. For large bowls - you get 2 toppings. You always have the option of adding on additional toppings for an additional $1.30 per topping. // ACAI // Tropical: Acai, pineapple, and mango. A delicious, tropical vibe from this acai bowl. Topped with you choice of fruits, nuts, almond butter, chocolate and so on. I've tried it topped with strawberries and lychee. Overall, I really like Beach Bowls now. I highly recommend checking them out at either South Bay location in Torrance and Redondo Beach. My friend says the apple cinnamon is amazing so I might have to try that one out next time. Decent acai bowls with tons of parking. Stopped by on a Saturday morning and was surprised to find the place empty. Ordered 2 of the mini gaurana bowls, with strawberry as the additional topping. Portion was pretty large for the price (bowls are always expensive). The acai base was good as was the granola, but the fruit was super over-ripe. The banana had more brown than yellow and the strawberries were either previously frozen or super past their prime. Would love to come back if they have fresher produce! read more

Tried this place for the first time as it is conveniently located a block away from Wilson Park. A positive from my first time visit- the guarana bowls are delicious! Negative and there are a few! Customer service was terrible. With so many people working, there was not one who stood out to be helpful. The cashier took our order and we were basically forgotten. We waited patiently as other pick-up orders were to tended to. There is nowhere to sit as you wait for your order neither indoors or outside. My nephew and I patiently waited until I could no longer wait and once I followed up, they realized that they lost track of us. In a feeble attempt to appease us, the gal increased the size of my bowl. Anyway, the poor customer service stands out more than our bowls. We will not return to Beach Bowls Acai Cafe. read more
