I guess it should've been a red flag that Good Stuff had a 30 min wait while Crème de la Crepe was empty. But I was excited to eat here since I'd grown up going to the one in Redondo. Things started off promising with our server, Destiny. She loved our dog and we appreciated that she set an outdoor table for us. But when service actually started, it all slowly went downhill. A canned drink we ordered had dirt on the lid. No big deal we thought and just requested another one. Destiny for some reason took this personally and the attitude started popping off from there. It's not like we said it was covered in rat droppings or something! She took our orders by memory and of course, an item came out wrong. Instead of apologizing, she again made it seem like it was somehow our fault. We were so put off by her attitude, we didn't even complain when the burger came out RAW. Just look at this picture. Yuck. By the time this happened, the service was so awful we just wanted to get out of here. While waiting for our check (which never came, we had to ask for it ourselves), I went on Yelp and noticed that Destiny had other terrible reviews about her! Why is she still employed here? Maybe she's the owner's daughter, which might explain why she took mistakes so personally. In any case, we were lucky enough to dissuade another party from having lunch -- they were viewing the menu, asked us how our experience was, and we were glad they were spared. Hopefully this review will stop others from the same awful experience. But there's a reason this place is empty on a Sunday when the PV Fair is going on. Just go to Good Stuff next door! read more

I never give reviews but this place sucks! The French Toast is day old French bread. Fine I guess if they don't want to waste food but the egg coating is just on the very outside of the French toast. Basically day old break when you cut inside. We also got the Belgium Waffle. It was NOT a Belgium waffle. It was just a regular thin waffle I could have made at home in my own waffle maker. The food here was decent, but the service was truly HORRIBLE & RUDE! When we sat down, I had to wait for almost 25 minutes in order to flag down a Server. No one came to take our order and yet we were famished! The table next to us were Japanese family & they were ignored by waitress too...until I complained to get a waitress to come get our orders. Our server named Destiny looked upset and had an ANGRY & glaring expression on her face. She said what do you want? Then just grabbed the menu in a huff while rolling her eyes. We feel there's racist treatment against Asians by Destiny & the other Latina waitress. I had to step up to the front three times in order to get a box and also get the bill. After that I had to go back up to the front again to give the bill with my credit card. The waitress Destiny didn't even say thank you. I also heard her say to the white customer in the next table that she was very tired and overworked!!!But that is no excuse for this terrible service. My son and I said that we will never visit this restaurant again even if you paid us! I plan to call up the owners of Creme de la Crepe and complain about the horrendous service. I only thought of this place as mainly a sweet or savory crepe place and I've only been 2 to other locations Hermosa Beach and Long Beach... I think we had about 50% of the restaurant and they were very accommodating for the group as we had some extra people as well and some other props inside. The food was good and much better than I expected me primarily eating Vegan nowadays....the others all pretty much enjoyed their meals... The servers were great and friendly and PATIENT with us.... We had some extra people and they still let us order food for them from our set menu even though it wasn't in advance.... We had 2 types of wine available and some other drinks for those not consuming alcohol.... We even did a birthday cake which they kindly kept in the back fridge for us... Alright, Creme De La Crepe is making its way up into the hills of Palos Verdes, and rightfully so. It's a great spot for... well, crepes. But honestly, their eggs benedict are pretty good and (per my gf) their carbonara is to die for. Now, i'm just gonna focus on what I got. Which is the french benedict. There's something about it that just seems right. Is it the potato gratin? Probably. But pair that with their jam and baguettes and you have a nice hearty breakfast. I loved how the tables had small bouquets. There were three types of flowers in each vase! I thoroughly enjoyed my omelette. Okay so I totally confused this place with The Crepery Cafe that's also in Rolling Hills. But this is the establishment I visited, Creme De La Crepe. I came here with my teenage daughter, her friend, and my toddler son. We ordered: Bretonne Crepe- banana with melted Nutella. It wqs what it expected to be. Not too sweet, light, and good. Pasta Carbonara- ham, bacon, Chardonnay cream sauce, garlic and parsley. It has an egg yolk in half a shell in the middle of the dish, to be mixed in. My daughter loved this. It had the 'wow' effect after the 1st bite. My son had fettuccine noodles with red sauce. He's real picky with his red sauce and said it was really good. We came on a Monday and the crowds weren't around yet. There was one server, cute French lady that totally reminded me of my French teacher in High school.
