Went to Mochinut and was checking out the donuts when I noticed their drink selection. I spoke with Tim, who I believe is the owner, and he was incredibly patient while explaining the different drink options. He recommended the coconut water, and even though specialty drinks usually aren't my thing, it was surprisingly delicious. After the first sip, I couldn't put it down--I finished the whole thing in less than 5 minutes (as you can see in the photo ). Highly recommend giving the coconut water a try! read more

Anytime we come to alley 51 we have to stop at mochinut! The mochi donuts here are amazing and always fresh. The selection changes and I want to say the only downside is you order your box and then depending on how many people order ahead you don't know what's left flavor wise until it's your turn to order which can def suck. But there's usually so many flavors in rotation you'll always find something. You order through a kiosk so haven't really dealt with the customer service besides when they box the donuts. read more

Not gonna lie, I was super disappointed. I have had Mochinut in CA and was beyond excited to find one so close when I moved here, but they were thick and doughy and bready.... whereas in CA they are soooo light and fluffy and airy! The texture was chewy and just not great. The flavor was good but nothing I wanted to eat, didn't finish either of the two donuts I got and wouldn't go back. Boo. read more

Mochinut has some seriously creative flavors every time I go. Sometimes it's hard to decide lol. So, I usually opt for the 3 pack lol. This trip we got the nutella, strawberry and the cookies and cream. They we so perfectly decorated it makes it hard to want to eat them lol. I like this location in Alley 51! I've been CRAVING Korean corn dogs for a while but the nearest locations to me are a bit of a drive (45+ minutes away). During my trip to Charlotte, I was so excited to see that there was a Mochinut about 15 minutes from my hotel. Mochinut is inside Alley 51 towards the back. I went during lunch so the line was decently long, some people were impatient and left. Service was friendly and overall pretty quick. It took longer for people to make their orders on the kiosk than it did for waiting for the food. I ordered the half and half potato and half and half ramen corn dogs as well as 3 donuts. Everything tasted great but I was bummed out when they didn't add the spicy mayo I ordered in my box. It was 75 cents but still, would have been nice to get that extra sauce. The ramen corn dog was my favorite and paired well with ketchup and mustard. The ube and Dubai chocolate donuts were fantastic, the ube being my favorite. The cashier was really helpful because she saw that I ordered from the Thai place next to Mochinut and needed a bigger bag. She was awesome with helping me out. Definitely will come back! read more

We stopped by Mochinut at Alley 51 to try a couple of their Korean-style corn dogs. We ordered the cheese-filled Taki corn dog and the crunchy ramen corn dog. The ramen one wasn't really for me -- the texture and flavor combo was a little strange and just didn't work for my taste. The cheese-filled Taki corn dog, on the other hand, was really good with a nice kick, but it's very rich. Definitely something to split, because I couldn't imagine finishing a whole one on my own. After eating, it was fun walking around G Mart and checking out all the cool snacks and drinks, which made the stop even better overall. The place is in a very busy Super G Mart and the ordering kind of chaotic. Once you realize that they're going to call you (in no particular order) to choose your donuts, it gets easier. At first I was so confused when I arrived lol. Mochinut is located inside of Food Hall 51. When you first walk in it's so beautiful! There are a variety of different Asian reasturants/bars/ and desert spots. Not to mention the claw machine, mini arcade, mini shop and the HUGE international grocery store. It's all connected together at it was so fun and a good experience to partake in. Now as for mochinut. I ordered a donut, drink and Korean corn dog. You order on a tablet and you can even leave a phone number so they can send you a text of when your food is done. Everything tasted amazing, came out fresh and everything was given to me within 7 minutes of ordering my food. It was a 45 minute drive for me but it was well worth it. This is the only boba (I had coffee and strawberry (separately) at this visit) I've ever had that I enjoyed. I also was craving a donut on a whim and got a coffee donut and it blew me away. I was expecting a regular donut but this was so much better. It wasn't even warmed up and it was great. My brother had a blue Taki corn dog and loved it. I've been to Alley 51 several times but this is the first time I've gone to Mochinut. I never had really good experience with mochi doughnut. I have to stand corrected today. The outer donut is similar what you see with a lot of mochi donuts eight round interconnecting mochi balls that make up a doughnut. This is the first time I've had it from this company and I must say I'm very impressed the ordering process is very swift. You choose how many donuts you want. As well as other options that they have. I went with a standard three mochi donuts. The first was the fruity pebbles mochi nut the second was the Ube mochi doughnut and the third one was the original sprinkles. The mochi donut is very crispy on the outside but you can taste that it is a true mochi inside with a chewy interior slightly sweet but nonetheless very delicious. I would highly recommend going there and getting as many as you want if you like the mochi donut experience. read more

My only complaint is I noticed a long black hair in one of the doughnuts when I got home and because I love near University, I was not going to drive back.
