    Spicy boudin kolache
    Sarah G.

Best donut holes and kolaches I've found outside of southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana, and I was very excited to see that they had boudin kolaches. Overall, I was impressed, and it was definitely worth the 35 minute drive. And for those unfamiliar with kolaches--these are the type you find in Texas, not the traditional Czech pastries. It's a soft, slightly sweet bread wrapped around a savory filling, kind of like pigs in a blanket.

Swung by this newly opened Donut shop to have a taste test and to see what was good. I was pleased to see they had more than just donuts in there. They had various other kinds of breakfast sandwiches and other savory eats as well. The store itself is simple. I don't recall seeing much if any seating at all. There were lots of drink option from the couple of refrigerated displays that were in the store. What really draws your attention is the glass display case when you first walk in showing off the various items they have like breakfast sandwiches and Kolaches! And then there are racks and racks of donuts just behind it! The young man that helped me was very kind and courteous and patient as I was taking in everything I saw and was trying to pick what I wanted. He stood to the side as I made my selections and only after I finished calling out what I wanted did he grab a box and completed my order. Not missing or asking me to repeat any of my order! Today was just a day about the donuts for me. As you can see from my photos I got an assortment because my parents have different tastes and I value their assessments as well. I did sample most of the donuts. The apple fritter was amazing. Large, filled with apples, the glaze was great. The glazed blueberry was wonderful. As soon you broke it open the blueberry smell fully emerged! The cake donut was moist, not dense and it was hard not to inhale it. The chocolate Eclair with Bavarian crème was HEAVY! But in the best way possible! The donut part was light, it was packed full of creme and the chocolate fudgy icing on top was the bomb! My father did indeed inhale his glazed chocolate cake donut. Mom said the glazed yeast donut was probably the best one she had ever had! The cinnamon sugar twist donut was super light and airy as you can see from the section I cut and posted. And yet for this big box of sweet treats I got I felt the price was absolutely fantastic. I know there are new donut shops popping up but this place you should not miss! I want to try the breakfast sandwiches and Kolaches next time!

Yes, they are open as of Friday 12/29/25 just in time for the Holidays. I tried the drive-thru at 715a, I was the first one. Note they do have a menu on the left side with a good selection of breakfast & lunch options. The 'Kolaches' they advertise are small pastries like a danish. No choices on the coffee side, regular Community House coffee with 2 sizes. It was good, very hot and they will give you packets of cream and Splenda. I had the liver mush egg & cheese sammie, on toasted white bread with lite mayo, you can get it on a croissant . The lady asked me if I wanted my liver mush a little xtra crispy, I said yes and wow, this was def made to order which I wasn't expecting. Excellent sammie, so fresh and seasoned Large selection of donuts, a diverse menu which might confuse some. There is a heading for 'tacos' and when I asked Rada, the brother he said, actually they are burritos so I think that's a better option. It seems like a nice family staff, Natalie on the drive-thru register, her mother managing the inside orders and register, her Brother, Rada, he speaks excellent english and the Father supporting the operation. They advertise open at 6a but when I called at 7a, no one answered. I verified the number was correct with Rada and he just kinda shrugged his shoulders and I chalked it up to First Day ops. They will allow you to use your own coffee cup, but no additional discount. They offer a 15% Veteran discount which I was very pleased about. Let's get out there and support our local family owned biz.

Easily parked, ample donuts at 7:45 on a Saturday, and they tasted fresh and filling.

I also love their coffees too - tried their dulce de leche this morning and i actually ordered a second to go because it was so good. Definitely a favorite new spot!

We ordered two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches and left a 20% tip. Afterward, they let me know that I had accidentally been charged for an extra coffee. They refunded the coffee, but the portion of the tip associated with that extra charge was never refunded. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. Overall, the sandwich was good, but the bacon was way too salty. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, so I had my partner try it--and he agreed. Definitely salty. My caramel coffee was also pretty watered down and just wasn't what I expected, especially for what I paid. On the other hand, my partner really enjoyed everything he ordered, so our experience wasn't all bad. It's definitely a cute neighborhood coffee shop with some great breakfast options, and I can see why people enjoy it. Just a heads-up: if you're in a hurry, I'd recommend ordering ahead. They can get pretty busy in the mornings, and there can be a bit of a wait when ordering in person. I really wanted my second visit to win me over, but unfortunately, I'm still not quite there.
