Mochi donuts! I've been to their other location and tried many mochi donuts. Theirs is good when they are fresh! We came around opening and there wasn't much left, but the girl was making some new glazed and churro ones. So we got those plus an ube one. The fresh ones were delicious, the ube one tasted a little stale and couldn't taste the ube topping. Cute space. Would come back for more. It's quite pricey but with like any fancy donut place it's on par with pricing, 3 for $10. One thing that bothered me was the bill. They auto put 15% gratuity, there's no option for "no gratuity" so you have to put custom and put 0%. I hate places where they try to get gratuity for just doing their job, they put donuts in a box and hand to you. There's no service of any kind, that's part of job description.

The donuts were pretty good. They have a spongy, chewy texture and were not overly sweet. There was no wait when we arrived around 7 pm. We were served immediately. This is a cute place. It was a bit pricey, almost $20 for six donuts.

A place thats aesthetic AND tastes excellent?? I actually don't enjoy mochi . . . but I do like me some donuts. Partook in the cute offerings here, a little bit of everything. Mochi donuts and their ice cream. Both were really delish. Truly! A mochi donut is like a chewy, doughy, donut ball ring that albeit requiring some chew work, tastes really fresh and super good! Even the ube, and I dislike ube! Milk Tea and Cookies N Cream flavors are both awesome as well. Whatever theyre doing here its working! Im already ready for another visit lol! Ez Pz 5 stars lol!

The food was yummy and lighter than most mochinut I've had in the past. The service was okay as we were the first customer in, their mochi balls were not available and that is what we went in for. I think this should be available when you guys open up if you are selling them. We were told we had to wait 1 hour. That is unacceptable. The ambiance was clean it smelled like cleaner when we first went in so not appetizing at all but the place was welcoming, clean, and pretty to look at. Thank you for

Daughter wants to go based on tik tok videos. Was yummy but definitely too much cheese (did I really just say that?!). I recommend sharing lol

Cute place! I was greeted right away once I walked in. She was super sweet and thanked me for coming in. I got 2 of each flavor and my favorite was the pink one. Not sure what the flavor was.

So we had our first taste of mochi donuts in San Francisco and loved it. We were excited to see this place open up nearby and couldn't wait to try it. After reading some of the reviews we were a little hesitant of trying it because of complaints of some being stale but we still took a gander going in the AM. The place was clean and nobody was there so we were quickly served. Friendly staff assisted us as we opted for sampling all 6 that was displayed (strawberry, churro, cookies and cream, strawberry funnel, caramel and original)..all for $18. Pricey but these are specialty donuts that we don't see often in North County. Once we got to our car we couldn't wait and we dug in....they were delicious. Chewy and not over sweet just as we remembered. We will be back.

Very cute little donut place in San Marcos. It was my first time trying a mochi-donut.. it wasn't bad but I'm also not a big fan of mochi either. It's chewy and you can taste that it's fried. If you're into mochi you should try this place. They have all sorts of flavors like guava, mocha, cookies and cream, churro etc. It is a little pricey for a small donut like that.. almost 4$ but nonetheless, worth trying.

Raw batter not cheese on original potato corn dog.

We ordered the original potato corn dog and the cereal one. The potato one was not fully cooked, but the cereal one was. One bite into the potato one and it was gooey, it looked like cheese but did not taste like cheese at all. It was RAW batter, which I told the guy at the front about. He claimed it was "fully cooked," but it wasn't. I know what raw batter/dough looks like. He didn't offer a refund or anything, horrible service. Left with a stomach ache.

Crème brûlée with no crunchy top

I hate having to write a 2 star review but sadly it was needed this time. Just went in and purchased some mochi balls (been to other mochinuts before) and they did not have them at those locations so was very excited to try them.... Also we wanted to try some of the ice cream and they didn't have original or the honey butter (what a bummer) so we took our order to go and went home. Here is where the really bad news comes... the mochi balls seemed old and were no where near the same texture or consistency of the doughnuts and we got both originals and crème brûlée and the cream in the original was curdled so we couldn't eat them and the crème brûlée didn't have the crispy sugar topping that you see in the images in the shop. So we spent $15 for pretty much nothing.

$5 ice cream :/ literally would have cost $2 at froyo.

Wow... an ice cream that my 5 year old finished in 7 bites bc it's so small cost $5... I don't mind paying $$ but felt this place is a rip off.

Great donuts. I had the cookies and cream one and really liked it. We will come back here again! These are fresh-tasting too.

These guys are famous for their turkey bacon avocado situation for a reason--it's legit. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and that perfect "California fuel" vibe that makes you feel like you've got your life together, even if you just rolled in half asleep. But here's where it gets funny. I order a bagel already pushing about $12--which, fine, inflation, San Marcos, avocados apparently guarded by federal agents now. Then the guy casually tries to tack on another $5 for a little bacon on top. Five dollars. For bacon. Not a farm. Not a pig. Just bacon. At that point I'm thinking this bacon better come with its own birth certificate and LinkedIn profile. And the best part? Nobody even asked what kind of bagel I wanted. No "sesame, everything, plain?" Nothing. Just mystery bagel roulette. Customer service isn't terrible, but it's definitely operating in autopilot mode. A little more attention would go a long way. That said, the food itself is solid. Yum Yum has the reputation for a reason, and when they're on point, they're on point. Fix the small service quirks and the surprise bacon tax, and this place is easily 5 stars. For now, strong 4 stars--great food, just don't let the bacon negotiate against you. To be honest it all depending on location ex burbank and playa wayyy tastier!

Donuts weren't dry-dry, and most definitely NOT that soft, luxurious, sinful texture. Did they 'hit-the-spot'? Sadly, no. Breakfast sandwiches were 'just food'. Sizeable egg portion though. Will we return? No. I do appreciate the 'treat' though.
