Meh, no flavor and basically dry. Sunday morning, boyfriend wanted to treat me, ran out and p/u donuts and breakfast sandwiches. I visited Yum Yum Donuts in San Marcos tonight, and while I was in a great mood, the service was really disappointing. The shop is open 24 hours, which is awesome, but the person taking my order seemed way too busy with other tasks to pay attention. I asked about teas and other items, but he was so blunt and distracted, just going back to his tasks while I was still trying to figure out what I wanted. I get that he was busy, but when a customer is standing right there, it should be about the customer. Stopped by the other night around 5pm to satisfy a donut craving and was extremely happy to have picked up a half dozen! The cashier was very friendly and had great customer service skills. The service is good. But the coffee is gross and expensive. The ice has a weird taste to it. And the donut holes aren't worth the price. This location is a calm location, at least at the time I visited the donut shop which was 10:30am. The donuts them selves were okay. They are a little less quality donuts than let's say star donuts in San Marcos for example. The dough wasn't as fragrant and soft, seemed like they were there quite a while. Terrible customer service by some of the staff. They have difficulty in basic math in figuring out how to charge for products that don't fit their mold. Don't try to order a donut that's out of their usual half dozen set and ask to be charged the difference; they can't figure it out and want you to order more than you need.
