My friend has been talking this place up as she said it's a must stop when in the plaza shopping at Rocket a Go Go. Today I finally stopped by with her to experience, and loved it! The staff member was super friendly and even advised of their current offer of a free original when you spend $10+. This allowed me to try both a drink and food item, which I enjoyed both! With the heat, I avoid dairy or heavier drinks so I went with a strawberry lemonade which was very refreshing for only $5! Love the cute murals on the wall for photos and it was cozy if you wanted to sip in the air conditioned building. I'll definitely return to try a milk tea in the future as they seem to have an amazing selection to try more items. Plus, a Yelp friend suggested their cold brew so I foresee a visit soon because I adore cold brew!
The Tempe location of Mochinut was a vendor at the Lunar New Year Asian Food Festival in North Phoenix held on Saturday the 17th and I am ever so grateful! I ended up getting a 3 pack variety that included the original glazed, strawberry, and taro. I've never had Mochinut before so I figure ordering a single variety pack would be a good way to try it out. I couldn't discern any difference between this and a regular donut in terms of texture. It is definitely less sweet than a regular donut and keeps fresh longer - big pluses in my book. My 2 kiddos took 2 of the Mochinuts the evening I brought it home and I saved the last one for myself to consume 2 days later. The 2 day old Mochinut still tasted as fresh as the day I bought it. A regular donut would've been stale by now. I appreciate how the vendor had the variety packs ready to go so those who want it can pay and go right away. Due to being outside their storefront, they had very limited selections but this was still a great way to introduce their core product to the public who are new to them. The Tempe location I will happily carve out time to visit if I'm in the area. The closer location to me in Peoria is not related to the Tempe store and has disappointing reviews that scares me into not visiting lol. I may still visit anyway if I'm ever over in that area. Thank you to the vendor for the incredible service and making the trek out to this festival!
I love mochi donuts & boba tea, especially Mochinuts! I love the fun decor. The shop was super clean. I ordered three donuts and an Oreo custard donut ball. I was not a big fan of the donut ball. The chai donut was delicious, but the original is my favorite. They were airy with a good texture. The boba was a bit off the lychee jellies had an odd, almost rubbery, texture. I also got an original mozzarella on a stick with sweet and sour on the side. It's made to order and the cheese was ooey gooey - so delicious!!
If you're looking for a variety of treats that are not too sweet and that just hit the spot, look no further because this is the place to visit! We stopped by on Saturday around 11am and it was pretty busy. The location was easy to find and the plaza had plenty of parking. The employees were very friendly and gave us enough time to look over the menu. We ordered one Mochi Donut of each of the following flavors: Lychee, Okinawa Milk Tea, Melon, Original, Matcha, and Sugar. We ordered the following drinks: One thai tea with boba, one matcha tea with oatmilk, a strawberry lemonade, and a white peach tea with lychee. We also shared a hot dog which we ordered plain (on the outside) and for the inside we asked for half cheese and half sausage. The Mochi Donut's were delicious! They were soft - not crusty, flavorful, and we could actually taste each of the flavors we chose. These did not have a "greasy" taste like other ones I've tried at other shops. Here all the flavors had their own unique taste and all were very good. My favorite was the "original flavor" and the Okinawa Milk Tea. The white peach tea was perfect since it was soo hot out on the day we visited. The drink was refreshing and it was not overpoweringly sweet. Th e strawberry lemonade also hit the spot. It was cold and refreshing! The hotdog was another favorite of mine. The outside was crunchy / crispy and the yummy-ness was all in the inside.. The cheese was hot and gooey when I took my first bite. Then a few bites later, I was down to the sausage. The sausage was juicy, hot, and tasted really good! I want to say that the sausage was definitely my favorite part, yummy. The inside is super cute and it was very clean. They have a few chairs along the wall where you can sit and eat your treats. Each location is ran by a different entity so you ought to see a difference in the quality of the food and service if you visit a different location. I will most definitely be back soon. The flavors rotate and I can't wait to try some more! :D
I initially came cause I was craving some donuts. To my surprise they sold more than just donuts. I got the flamin' hot Korean corn dog filled with mozzerella, half dozen of assorted donuts, and lychee tea. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the Korean corn dog. So good! We will be back.
I'm nuts about mochi donuts! Made a stop one afternoon when a craving hit. Mochinut has two locations in the valley: Tempe and Peoria. This Tempe location is in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. I was the only customer at the time and was greeted right away. The friendly staff member was patient with me and answered all of my questions. I went with a half dozen with one of each flavor they offered that day: strawberry funnel cake, wildberry yogurt, Korean churro, original, pistachio, and chocolate pebbles. I also got an original K-dog for my son. Couldn't wait until I got home to try the donuts, so I tore off a mochi ball from each donut on my drive home. The mochi dough was perfectly chewy with a slight crunch on the outside. The flavors were subtle and complement the fried dough. Out of the six, my favorite flavor was the pistachio. My son enjoyed the donuts, too and his K-dog. However, the K-dog had very little meat. It took him 2-3 bites before getting any meat.
I had never had a mochi donut before but my cousin said I had to try it so here we are! We ordered a bunch of mochi donuts and 3 balls to share! Loved them, especially because they weren't too sweet! The custard ball was probably my favorite though! Yum!! The drinks were amazing too!! The strawberry one was a little too sweet (the kids loved it) but the grapefruit one was perfect if you like grapefruit. Got an original potato K-Dog with sriracha mayo and sweet chilli sauce, and an orange green tea with 50% sugar to go for my son! He's enjoying those as I type!! The owner was so sweet! Our family took over her shop! I told her we need one of these in Miami!! Both the donuts and the teas would be a big hit! If you're in Tempe, come check this location out.
The kids and I came here on a very very hot day. My car said 118F at one point. My kids enjoy donuts and the corn dogs so this was the place to go. We preordered and the donuts were ready when we got their. The person was making the drinks when we arrive. Given it was such a hot day; there was no other people in the store. I got the three piece mochi donut: raspberry funnel cake,chocolate pocky, and strawberry yogurt. Also Ordered a sparkling strawberry lemonade with popping strawberry boba, Assam milk tea, original corn dog and potatoes corn dog. All very delicious. Very cute and clean store. The person at the counter was friendly, nice and offered to take our pictures as she saw me doing a selfie. Would recommend and will come back.
I like the soft texture of the Mochinut. Doughnuts come in different varieties and this one is just my style. I don't like the bread variety. A traditional cake doughnut is okay. The Mochinut has a completely different texture than these two types of doughnuts. It is soft and chewy. If I had to pick a doughnut type most similar to it, I would say it is like a Krispy Kreme doughnut in terms of how light and airy it is. The frosting holds most of the flavor in the Mochinut. My favorite is the Hokkaido. They rotate flavors on a weekly basis. I would always go for a flavored mochinut over any of the non flavors ones or powdered sugar or plain glaze. Stores is just the right size for picking up a box of mochinuts to go. Not a lot of seating. Most people probably do take out.
Really cute store. The decoration and atmosphere was very fun and engaging. The staff were very polite and there was barely a line for so many people inside. We tried the strawberry mochi and the fruity pebbles mochi donuts. They were really good. Also nice to find out they are like half the calories as a traditional donut
I tried a Mochinut donut at a recent food festival, and they were so good I had to stop by the actual place the next day. 3 donuts were $9 which is pretty reasonable. The churro & caramel churro are my favorite, and the strawberry funnel cake was really good too, and I got the cookies & cream, which was too sweet for my liking but I'm still glad I tried it. The service was alright here, nothing special, but nothing horrible, mostly young college students working when I came. They have boba, Mochi donuts, and Korean corn dogs which I'm excited to try sometime. The place is clean, and has a little seating area and it was not busy when I went. A Mochi donut is made with rice flour and is so unique, chewy, and amazing I find it better than an actual donut lol

A hidden gem near my friends' house in Tempe. I am a person will not spend my calories in food with lots of carbs, but I will definitely spend my whole day carbs intake for this place. Their K-dogs are really amazing, and you can feel the freshness of their frying oil. I will ordered two hotdogs for my next visit. For the drinks, they are awesome. I like their cold brew with cream on the top. Mochinuts of course will make you have a satisfied journey when you explored this cute little shop. Their mochinuts are chewy and fresh. I love this place! Their donuts are delicious and their drinks are surprising good also. I love that they put a lot of cream top for the drinks. Some places cheap out the cream on top even though I paid $1 extra. I always go for their assam milk tea and orange green tea with cream top. Yum! read more

Traveling to Arizona to visit my buddy. Not the first time trying Mochinut or kdogs but this one is outstanding. Love the freshness while chewy! I can finish 3 easily before my kdog shows up. Ordered a potato mozzarella, I can tell it's freshly made. Love how the batter is thin, perfectly balanced. I love this style more than Two Hands. Not overly seasoned. Lastly I had cream top green tea. one of the best cream top I've tried. I can taste the cream cheese on every sip. Love it. For sure I will be back to this cute shop next time I'm in town! read more
If you want fresh doughnuts with a twist, then you've come to the right place! This cute shop is a perfect hybrid of the American doughnut with a Japanese twist. They're so light, flavorful and frankly irresistible. I had a hard time choosing a favorite. This is my second time here and they've changed their flavors, which is always nice to be able to try something different. The employees were extremely kind & even gave my little dog a treat, which was so unexpected, but much appreciated. Was searching for boba and this place popped up but 1000% would stay for the mochi donuts and Korean dogs. We got matcha, Nutella, and passionfruit mochinuts, and the passionfruit glaze was incredible but all were fantastic. And I didn't know what to expect with the Korean dog, so we only got one, but I wish I would have gotten three because they're so dang tasty. Brown sugar boba milk tea was also great. Honestly you can't go wrong with this place and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some fun snacks. read more

I had a hotdog, donuts, and boba milk tea. I can't decide which one is better because all of them are so good!! The hotdogs are crispy outside and juicy inside. I recommend trying the half-and-half so you can get both mozzarella and hotdog in one. If you're lucky, the fresh donuts that just came out from the fryer are the best. read more

Tried their mochi donuts (double chocolate, sesame and matcha) favorite was double chocolate and matcha one tasted pretty good too, not super sweet, definitely went beyond my expectations. Also ordered a original hot dog which was just okay, didn't really like the breading as it was kinda sweet. Grapefruit green tea was good. This place has nice and warm decorations. Staff are friendly here. We ordered their boba milk tea, k-dogs and mochi donuts. They are all delicious! Super cute place the staff who helped us was adorable and made sure we had everything we needed, greeted us in & out the store, super friendly. Simple menu with many flavors and options to choose from will have to come back to try out more drinks and the donuts. And fairly gd pricing as well for the amount I was happy we found this place on our way back home def wish we lived closer to visit more often Also loved the cute donut boxes and there is also a drawing of Spider-Man with a Mochi donut which I thought was pretty cool inside. read more

Good not great. I've had a lot of mochi donuts in Vegas and Hawaii and these just fall short. Perfect texture but still haven't found a flavor I enjoy from them. Will definitely be back to try them again because when I'm craving mochi donuts this is a good spot but wish they had more fruit flavors like a strawberry, POG, or pineapple. The potato mozzarella con dog was also lacking in flavor. read more

We were looking for Korean hotdogs and this place delivered. We got the potato dogs and they were crispy and delicious. The real surprise were the Mochinuts. They were so good. I believe they are made from mochiko flour and tapioca so they are chewy. The toppings were all delicious too. The place is really small with bar seating along only one wall. No tables and chairs. The cashier could have been friendlier, it was our first time here, but the sever was very friendly. Overall, will go back! read more

Tried mochinut in LA, but this one tastes much more delicious, it's more chewy and less oily/ less sweet ( makes you feel less guilty to enjoy your refreshments) I also tried the boba milk tea and grapefruit green tea. I can taste the tea is made from real tea leaves with quality instead of artificial power. The people operate this store are very friendly and are dog lovers, they even prepare dog treats for customers who bring their fur babies.
