I came here after visiting another shop that couldn't solve my wheel vibration problem. It was communicated to me that they were getting unusual readings from their wheel balance machine and offered to remove the tire from the wheel to dig in and see what was causing the issue. After that, a technician road tested the car to verify that it drove smoothly. All of this for a little over an hour to diagnose a wheel and less than $30. I don't know that I have experienced customer service like this before and applaud these guys. Any other shop would have put additional weights on the wheel, and then called it a day, and sent me on my way unhappy. The guys at Mock tire actually dug in to truly diagnose and solve the issue, and verified that my car was problem free. I can't recommend them enough. I have been a repeat loyal customer until today. Last time they changed my oil they tightened the bejesus out of the oil plug. So now I decide to do my own oil change and can't get the plug out. I took my 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup to Mock Tire on October 26 to get both headlight bulbs replaced. I called the day before and spoke to Trey, who told me that each bulb would cost about $50-60 (parts and labor) to replace. I was happy with that. When I got there a little before 4:30, they took my truck in immediately. At 5 o'clock on the dot, Frank told me that it was done. He gave me the bill, which, from Trey's estimate, I was expecting to be around $120. I was very surprised to see that it was $58 and change! No, that is not a typo ..... the bill was FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS for BOTH headlights! That's HALF of what I was expecting to pay! I've been taking my vehicles to Mock Tire for years, because they're very close to my home, so I can drop my vehicle off with them and walk home. Even if you don't live within walking distance, I highly recommend this place! It's well worth the drive, the staff couldn't be nicer or more professional, and they'll treat you right! read more

I have always been pleased with the service and pricing at Mock Tire on Stratford. I had a flat tire today at 10:21. Called they had the tire in stock. I took tire and wheel to them and they had me back on the road in less than 45 minutes! SERVICE with a SMILE!!! A great bunch of guys. They have been taking care of my 3-4 vehicles for at least 20 years. Quality of work is Excellent. They don't recommend using the inexpensive Advance Chinese parts. Original Equipment replacement parts is the thing, so Parts Quality is Excellent also. Pricing is too. I'm not saying that the guy on the corner might not have some blemish tires that are cheaper! But my wife can walk in there and they never take advantage of her! That means alot to me. A business I can trust. Give them a try. You'll be glad you did. read more

Had a flat tire at 3:00p the Thursday before Labor Day. AAA's shop on Stratford Rd told me they couldn't get two new tires until Friday afternoon. Since they seemed hesitant about even putting the spare on my foreign-made SUV, it seemed risky to wait and deal with them on a holiday weekend, so I called Frank at Mock Tire just a couple of blocks away. Frank immediately said he could send someone to pick up the tires at the warehouse, have them on site in an hour AND that he'd get them put on by the time they closed at 5:30. Frank was super-kind to me and my elderly mother as we waited and even bought us a Coke when we couldn't come up with the correct change for the vending machine. Forget AAA, Myers Tire or anywhere else--THIS should be your tire store. read more

Super fast service with knowledgeable friendly staff!!! While in Winston Salem, we noticed some banging in our suspension. We are from Minnesota and didn't know where to begin looking for a mechanic. A friend suggested Mock Tire off of Strafford. Not wanting to waste a whole day messing with car repairs, I dropped off our car upon opening at 7:30am. By 8:15, the problem was diagnosed and by 9:30 I had the car back with the problem fixed. The pricing was not overly expensive and everyone was very friendly. After spending 580 on tires I went to leave and my car was making a noise. I went back in to say something. One of the guys came out and heard the noise and said that wasn't from them all they didn't was put new tires on and inspection. Wanted to charge me to look at it. My car had never made the noise before. So I left because I couldn't afford to pay them to look at why my car has a noise. Next day I wake up to go to work and my car is dead. Will not be back. I only wish I could give this mechanic shop a negative score. I took my car to be serviced by this shop and had a horrible experience. The guys working there were rude, and their rates were higher than the dealership I ended up taking my car to. They gouge prices on tires, and I found much better deals on tirerack.com .
