Wasn't good paid 10.81 for 3 tacos meat lettuce nasty chips cold salsa unflavored the tacos shells was good, but salsa was plain tomatoes flavoring. The tacos shells unsalted cold tacos was terrible . I could never refer any one to order what I ordered for that price with them ever. They failed today horriblely. read more

This is utterly the most disgusting Mexican food ever! everything is either out of a can out of a bag or from the shelf at Food 4 Less. Food is prepared with oil, grease and disgusting spices...No better than salt and pepper! I am a seasoned person of Mexican food who enjoys great quality Hispanic cuisine on the West Coast. Service was pretty good and the ambiance was fine. The food was edible. There was no flavor in pretty much anything on the plate. To be fair though, we are from Texas and expect more from our Tex-Mex food. Also, all the entrance and exit doors except one were locked. It's lunch and I have a hankering for some Mexican food. Why? I don't know. East Arkansas is better known for BBQ, catfish and good old Southern comfort food but I had something different in mind. So we go on Yelp and found Moctzuma Grill. 4 Stars in Forrest City? Okay, I'll give it a shot. Now it was further off I40 than what I wanted to travel (~2 miles) but it turned out to be worth the extra distance. Recommend the cheese dip. Salsa is just okay. No mi gusta! Two out of 5 stars because of the great customer service and cold glass for my beer. I ordered a 3 item combo. This is the first time I've ever ordered a Mexican meal (not appetizer or side dish) and the beans, house salad and rice was extra and not part of the combo. Both plates arrived hot but food was lukewarm. The beef "burrito" was a cold tortilla with meat rolled inside. That's it. The cheese "enchilada" was a cold tortilla (I'm starting to notice a theme) with partly melted mozzarella cheese inside. It was reminiscent of a bootleg quesadilla. The tamale was decent but dry. The plate arrived with a weird white cheese sauce which was not listed in the description, if so I would have asked for it to be omitted and requested a traditional red or green sauce which makes more sense. The chips were homemade but not warm and the salsa tasted and looked very similar to the store brand Picante with extra cilantro thrown in...with a claim to fame of "Authentic Mexican Food" I was looking forward to a memorable dining experience but it was far below my expectations...and it was not busy so that's not a valid excuse. I will try again and order a different item in the hopes 1) they see this review and make improvements and/or 2) it was a bad night... read more

Went to Moctezuma Grill while on my way to Oklahoma from South Carolina. Just drovethru town looking for a place for dinner and noticed this place with a lot of cars in their lot. So. I figured it must be good with a crowded lot. I was pleasantly surprised with the food and excellent service. I had the Moctezuma Burrito with chicken. It was excellent! You have to drive fairly deep into town to find this place, but it was definitely worth the drive! read more

Great food; great service. Tortilla chips were hot and the accompanying salsa was good. Had the shrimp chimichanga and a margarita. Both were excellent. The rice had an unexpected kick (spice) to it that I liked. Building was massive (used to be a KFC) and clean, yet pretty empty - probably because it was a cold night. read more

This was a great find as we were passing through and didn't want another fast food meal! The home made chips and salsa to start were excellent along with a cup of hot queso. The chicken quesedilla was a very large portion and perfect for sharing. They also had a great selection of combination platters and enjoyed a Cheese Enchilada and Chicken Tamale combo that was delicious. In addition to the great food the prices were excellent as well which is why I didn't mind too much that they charged us $.75 for a glass of water. The only caution in this establishment is the restroom... it needs some TLC. However overall it was a wonderful experience with great food, prices and a friendly staff. read more

Another restaurant outside of Texas that calls queso....cheese dip!!! Dip was plain white cheese and disgusting. They slathered it on my quesadillas too. Moctezuma has great service, friendly staff, reasonable prices and the best Mexican food in the Forrest City area.....and not shabby when compared to Memphis. Great food and courteous service here. Their salsa is so good they should bottle it !! It is very freshly made, with cilantro flavor.....good chips. I love guacamole, and you get a generous dish [cereal bowl size] for about $3......not bad at all, it does need a little lemon juice to perk it up, but good stuff. As for entrees, they are a bit unique for our tastes, as in the rice has some veggies in it, which I am not accustomed to having with beans and rice. Stopped in Forrest City for the night, and decided to give this place a try. There was only a couple people eating there, when I got there for dinner. The service was good, and the chips and salsa were pretty good. I prefer my salsa spicy, but it still tasted good. I ordered the Taquitos Mexicanos. Basically was 2 beef taquitos cut in half, with some melted cheese on top. Never seen it served like that, but it was still good. It came with guacomole, sour cream, pico, lettuce, beans and rice. The beans and rice were delicious. I was raised on beans and rice, so I know good beans and rice. I would give the meal about a 7 out of 10. And all together, with tax, it was a little over $9. I finished my food, and I was stuffed. I would rather eat Mexican food from California, but for Arkansas, it was great. read more

This is a true jewel in an otherwise limited area. The salsa was excellent and freshly prepared with just the right amount of cilantro. The Molcajete was outstanding and the menu had a broader range of offerings than most Mexican places do. The Moctezuma Grill is definitely worth the short additional drive from I-40.
