Ordered two pizzas online for pickup. Ordering was fast, easy, and as customizable as ordering in person. I read a few reviews that complained of burned crust. Both of our crusts were cooked perfectly to me - no meaningfully-sized burned sections (yes, some tiny slivers at the end were unavoidably blackened), with no underdone sections, either. I very much liked my pizza. I loved how many toppings I could add (and they didn't skimp on the quantity, despite the variety). I also liked their tomato sauce - tasty, without adding a lot (if any) salt, sugar, fat, or other helpers - and the amount was enough to enjoy, without it dripping off the dough. My husband would've preferred a bit more quantity on his, and he said the tiny broccoli bits were a stretch to label as 'broccoli'. But the biggest improvement he'd like to see would be a healthier crust option. The cauliflower crust might have qualified, except it had a lot of extra calories and fat. 9/15/24 I ordered a pizza with garlic bulbs and a lot of other ingredients. One thing I did not order is red peppers. My pizza came home with no garlic bulbs and a ton of red pepper. The second pizza I ordered that same night requested pepperoni along with other toppings. That second pizza came back without any pepperoni whatsoever. Then at 3 AM, eight hours after I ate the pizza I found myself so sick doubled over in the bathroom with stomach pains and you can imagine the rest. I felt the pain by 8 PM, just after I finished my meal, and was in the bathroom by 3 AM. I don't know who was working Sunday night, but it's not sanitary (I was food poisoned), and they got my order wrong and I'm very concerned. We use to enjoy our salad and pizza but for the last year it is very cold inside. We asked the server if they can make it warmer but they could not adjust the thermostat. We tried 3 times and gave up. We stopped by last week for one more time. We asked the family that just came out if it was cold inside. No, it is not cold, it's freezing. Now if you're like me and you like your toppings, this is the place for you! But if you love to pile on the toppings make sure to upgrade to the Mega Dough. The other dough tried to hold my pile of delicious toppings, but it was rather floppy, so don't forget to upgrade to the mega dough! When I heard about Mod I was excited because the normal places charge you for every single topping and I haven't found a pizza topping I didn't like. Mod has unlimited toppings and they are not canned stuff, I can taste the freshness. It's like when my wife and I were younger and made homemade pizzas because we weren't as lazy as we are now and those were GOOD because they used fresh ingredients (not from a bag or a can). That's what Mod does and boy you can taste the difference. I haven't had a pizza like this from anywhere but fancy restaurants and I could get 5 mod pizzas for the cost of one of those. I'm a loyal customer of this particular location when I travel through here to business meetings and they have someone who really knows what they are doing making these. I have a couple of requests and they do them, which is great. My only suggestion is that I wish they had fennel seeds available, but I keep some in my car so I sprinkle my own. If you haven't had a little fennel seed sprinkle on your pizza (especially if you like sausage toppings), just try it. Trust me! There were 2 times when I didn't get a pizza made by the regular person who makes them, because I could just tell the quality was a little different and one time the pizza got soggy (i think they forgot to air it out a minute or two before sealing it in the box with all that steam. Or the topping ratio is a bit off sometimes, but those are mostly little things that don't happen often. If your pizza ever gets soggy, just pop that thing in your air fryer and it will fix the problem real quick. So it was just a few times that they didn't pay attention to my special notes about toppings, but 95% of the time they do and I told my honey that if I can't get my Mod pizza one day, I will pay her to make me some homemade pizzas because you just don't get this kind of experience often and I have to have them at least twice a month.. like I said it's a full on addiction at this point. My wife and I are both happy with the current situation. Also, my wife does like the pizza too, but I keep telling her she's not doing it right. She gets only a few toppings and the thinner crust. She's not maximizing the greatness of Mod unlimited topping deal doing that, but oh well! I have been to this location a couple of times, each time hoping for a different result. However, it seems this location has a tendency to hire rude staff members who like to make their customers feel unwelcomed and even "dumb." The staff here are very unprofessional, unkind, and rude. Specifically the staff that worked tonight an hour before closing were extremely condescending to my group and I. We arrived an hour before closing, the pizzas only took 10 minutes to finish cooking before we ate. And we made sure to leave before closing to ensure to they were able to close efficiently, and, well... just like the sign says that they close at 10pm. However comments, for example, "she must not have the ability to see the cheese" when one of the individuals in my group kindly asked for some cheese, is just super uncalled for. Absolutely great customer service today! I tried to redeem an offer on an order placed in the MOD pizza app. It was a fail. Offer not executed. I called the store, and spoke to Aya (I probably misspelled that) and Claire, the manager. Both tried to work around the system to make the offer work, but to no avail. Claire offered me some gift certificates to make up for the lost offer. I really appreciate the amount of effort they both demonstrated to help a frustrated customer. Previously, I would have rated the Anacortes MOD store as Good and sometimes Great. We have loved their freshly made, entirely customizable pizzas and yes, the marionberry lemonade is yummy. Today, service was surprisingly terrible. I ordered - and prepaid - online which I have done numerous times before,. My order was submitted at 5:54. The confirmation estimated my pizzas would be ready for pick-up at 6:14 (20 minutes). We arrived at 6:13 and asked the guy managing the oven about our order, as recommended. He "didn't know anything about it", but would call us when it was ready. He had three pizzas in the oven and none waiting to go in. There were no pizzas being boxed for take-out. The 2 younger employees who were at the construction end of the counter seemed entirely untrained and managed to build a single pizza between them in the 15 minutes we waited. We finally walked up to that end of the counter and the female-presenting employee had finally built - very unevenly - one of our 3 pizzas. When we asked to cancel the order because it was clearly going to take another 20 minutes, she got defensive and insinuated that she was extremely busy. Apparently, none of the staff had the authority to credit my order, so she called a fourth person who was not in the building to come do so. 'Cody' credited my order, about 10 minutes later, stating that it would take 1-2 days for the refund to appear...no documentation and the amount on the register did not include the tip I added online, nor were the 150 reward points I used returned to my account. This place is easy to find and has a good size parking lot. Spacious inside with lots of seating and very clean. Very efficient, even though it was super busy we weren't waiting long at all. We both got the Tristan however because you can add or delete toppings at no additional charge, the pizza's ended up being a little different. The crust is perfect and they have the whole process down perfectly! Being cooked in a brick oven gives the crust more flavor and a nice and crispy crust. Wow!! This is like the Firehouse Subs, Subway, of pizza. You can chose from one of their prepared choices adding ingredients to the toppings as you go down the line. Or you can just have one tailor made from your many choices of meats and veggies. The dough the sauce? Amazing!! I've been a fan of Mod Pizza for a long time. I like the fact that I can get a predictably good pizza for a predictable prize, and that I can get it reasonably fast. The idea of having a fixed price regardless of toppings makes it easy to adjust to whatever dietary restrictions you might have. In addition, it makes me a bit more adventurous. I can add an extra ingredient without risking much. My only beef with the Burlington location is that it's loud. This place just popped out of nowhere. With a name like mod pizza I expected it to be custom pizzas... And it is! They don't even charge for toppings! We walked out paying 20$ bucks for the 2 pizza and the unlimited refills of their many beverages. I got as many mushrooms as I wanted and he got as many jalapenos as he wanted on our pizzaa.
