Updating my review because Mod has become our favorite weekly pizza spot! It's just consistently delicious every time. There was one time where my pizza got badly burnt on the bottom, but they were happy to make me a new one. We appreciate the good service. Our favorite thing about Mod is how fresh the veggies are, plus how generous they are with the toppings. We try to eat outside when we can. This was my first time stopping in, so we decided to order pretty much each pizza to see how we felt about it (as well, we were feeding a few people). This local was clean and neat. All the workers were busy, so no one greeted us as soon as we walked in but we were greeted as soon as the next person was available. I didn't take offense, however, I do know that is something some people look for when they walk into a store. The service was quick and friendly. Along the way, the continued to ensure your pizza was made properly. I appreciated that, if they weren't sure - they asked until it was clear what was wanted. Overall, the pizza was good. I think it could have been better. There were some pizzas that had like 5 pieces of meat on them. Then there were some pizzas that had a good amount of meat. That part was a little annoying, next time we will just ask for more meat as needed. We did enjoy the thin crust and it wasn't burnt. The ratio to sauce was good, no one wants a overly saucy pizza! Good food, fast and friendly service along with a chill atmosphere make for a good dining experience. I l prefer the make you own versus the larger pizza chains as it seems more personal, especially the service. My favorite are the no name cakes, which are adult size ding dongs. Haven't been to Mod Pizza in a long time, and I am so glad I've made my way back. I got their 11-inch thin crust with their spicy marinara as my base and topped it with oregano, spinach, garlic, mozzarella, and on the side some pesto. Right away, I got the amazing aroma and taste of the spicy sauce. That combined with the other toppings just made each and every bite pop. I am so glad that I have leftovers that I can dig into later! And this yumminess was only $10, such a great deal! Also, the staff were very nice and even took the time to bring my pizza out to me. Delicious and affordable pizza. Underline affordable since this restaurant is cheaper than other similar businesses and the pizza still tastes amazing. They top the pizza with ample ingredients that are packed with flavor. They even offer garlic cloves as a topping. Just whole roasted garlic cloves that are fantastic. We have ordered pick up and delivery from this location. Both experiences were very good. For pick up, we paid in advance and it was ready upon arrival. For delivery, it arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was accurate. I love how customizable the pizzas are and how easy the ordering process is. The sizes they offer work well with our preferences. We either pick the personal pizza or 11-inch depending on how hungry we are. We will likely order from here again. read more

Well, you are in luck cause MOD Pizza will check all those boxes. I arrived around 3 pm, and despite five employees behind the counter, I waited a few minutes before I was even greeted. I ordered a BYO, but mid-way through ordering, the guy walked off, and a few employees looked at each other in confusion. He magically appears from wherever he wandered off to and finishes making my pizza. I pay and make the mistake of sitting at a table facing the window cause a good 10 mins went by, and still no pizza. I got up and inquire about my order and found out that it had been done, but the girl at the counter stated she did not realize it was mine. I found that odd cause there was no one else in the restaurant. I sit down only to realize that they didn't cut the pizza. I get back up, request they cut it, and sit down to enjoy my lukewarm pizza. Upon leaving, they did tell me to have a good day, so, uh, Yay for being kind, but Nay for the spotty service. read more

Don't know that I'm a fan of reviewing chains but this group is worth the effort. Best thing is it's all unlimited toppings and they're right there in front of you - want a layer of mozzarella on top of your toppings - just ask. BBQ drizzle in with the tomato sauce or on top - why not both? They're super friendly and the pizza is great. So many topping and flavor combinations - it took us a year to finally get over here and now that we've been, it's at least twice a month we come back. read more

Staff have mask on and tables were blocked off to encourage social distancing. Mask are required. You can add as many toppings as you would like at no extra charge. MOD has great toppings for a unique one of a kind created pizza. I am a fan of Blaze, but when I first started researching this type of pizza place, MOD was the first of it's kind. Founded in Seattle, but with a take off of the Austin, TX slogan. Some items I cannot get at Blaze are rosemary, shredded roasted brussel sprouts and minced garlic. But the BEST is their crust! I love MOD! I was so happy to see a franchise had opened in Cary. Staff was very attentive without being pushy. Empty tables were being wiped down and the bathroom was extremely clean on Friday evening. I have always loved their crust at other locations and this one was consistent with other MODs. What was not consistent was the ingredients weren't as strong as others - canned vs. fresh pineapple, no fresh mozzarella, etc. But they did have a vegan cheese (I know, you're thinking "ewwww!!!" but it was actually very good and creamy!). I didn't try a salad so can't speak on that. We had 2 build-your-own and a Mad Dog. Overall, I'd come back. read more

Good place for a quick pizza. The service is friendly and they're one of the places where the whole group will shout their welcomes and goodbyes at you. Not gonna lie, that caught me off guard. It got old since we were dining in and heard them do it to everyone coming and going. The pizzas are all customizable and come out pretty quick. They normally are thin crust and have a nice char on the bottom. My husband wished he got the thick crust, since he wasn't a fan of the thin crust. I got the Tyler pizza and thought it was pretty solid. My husband's was okay. He wasn't a fan of the sausage on his, which was a make or break kind of deal for him. My only gripe would just be my own personal struggles with pizza cut in quarters. I can't eat pizza without making a mess, which is a me issue. First time at Mod Pizza and it was a horrible experience. Ordered the thick crust pizza with extra cheese that was horribly overcooked and tasted burnt. The cheese was dried up and practically burned off and the bottom burnt. I nicely asked the guy baking the pizza if I could have a redo and he was clearly offended and told me all the pizzas look that way. Really? So you serve burnt pizza to everyone. Highly doubtful. The customer next to me cheese was stringy when he picked up a slice...mine however, was not. At all. He begrudgingly offered to make another one but pretty much said it will look the same. Ridiculous. I was about to ask to speak with to the manager but was over it at that point. Trashed the food and left. Had a VERY long day and was looking forward to this meal. I have been to a bunch of these types of pizzerias so I know what a pizza with extra cheese should look like and this miss the mark and the terrible customer service did not help. I normally love mod but I was not happy with my experience this time. I came in as a to go order as I was already in a hurry. For whatever reason, they were not putting my pizza in the oven and multiple people that came after me were getting their pizza before me. There is no reason for that.
