Never been to MOD pizza before. But for it being my first time, I was a bit confused on how things worked. Almost like a "fast food" pizza restaurant. Walk in only. Pizza and salads! You basically add whatever you want on your pizza or salad and pay for the prize of the size. The part that I didn't really enjoy and the feeling of being rushed. Almost felt like I couldn't choose wisely or even look at the options that I had to add to the pizza and salad. I get that they need to be fast paced since it was busy, but a little curtesy wouldn't hurt nobody. The good thing about that place is that they have alcohol. I love this place. It's like Chipotle for pizza. You can choose mini or mod (mod is regular and good sized) or a salad. You can choose from the pre options for pizza or you can make your own. I always make my own. It's quality fresh ingredients every time. And they have pretty much every pizza topping available. And there's no charge for extra toppings or too many toppings. Starting with a base of red, white, or pesto sauce and cheese. Then you can pick meats like sausage, pepperoni, chicken jalapeno sausage, and lots of others. Next is veggies. Lots of options like whole garlic, roasted red peppers, green peppers, olives, artichokes, onions, etc. Then there's awesome cheeses like gorgonzola, parmesan, and asiago. The pizzas cook quickly and are delicious. They call out your name when it's ready. And it's ready pretty quickly because of the thin crispy crust. You can add extra sauces like bbq, sriacha, or pesto. Lots of seating indoor and some outdoor. Staff is friendly and there's lots of great parking. The service is incredibly slow, and the employees who were working lunch yesterday are so rude. It took over 15 mins just to assemble pizza, and make a salad. There were maybe 4 people in line, and only one guy to get all orders. Another one was at the cash register, and he had his headphones on while cashing out a guest. The line where all food was kept was filthy and hadn't been wiped down, it just is unappetizing. When the pizza was up they just yelled my name and slid it on the counter and I wasn't able to ask for buff sauce cause they were turned around at that point and were busier talking to each other. I get it, young kids who hate their jobs. But seriously! it was a Monday lunch and incredibly slow, I don't understand the wait and the poor service. My salad had bits of black little things throughout the lettuce and it looked like little legs. I feel as like some of the lettuce was rotten because it tasted bitter and very mushy. Our pizza had chunks of ham, which seemed full of cartridge or fat it was nasty. It's usually pretty good here and I go often but I see the same employees every time and it's just consistently garbage, their attitudes and the food. Who doesn't love Mod Pizza? You can't complain about the food because you can customize it yourself, and it's always the same price. No additional fees, no skimping out on the layers -- it's awesome. I always customize mine and load it with all my favorite veggies, and always take home half. All for less than eight bucks! I'm so glad there is one in Issaquah for my go-to lunch spot whenever I'm craving a loaded pizza. The service is quick, too, with about 10 people working behind the counter. I rarely ever write yelp reviews, but I will write one where it's due. I stopped by the Mod Pizza in the Issaquah Highlands last night, January 22nd, at around 7:15. I expected a line, but it was unusually slow. (Maybe weather, it was sideways raining ) My husband and I frequent Mod because it's a super easy dinner choice, they use fresh ingredients, and no matter how busy- my order is always quick. (Even when I get my pizza extra well done.) Above all, I love the employees that work there, I don't know any of them on a personal level, but each time I visit, they're all friendly, polite and efficient. I don't ever get looks if I ask for more ingredients. I just want to highlight that Romeo (the supervisor) knows exactly how to run this establishment. He is able to keep his composure at all times, especially during peak times. You don't ever see the employees standing around, they're always doing something, and staying busy. A couple of their standard pizzas were decent. The other pizzas were custom - mine was excellent because l have good taste. I liked the decor. I detested their crust, even worse than Pizza Hut's. There's a Mod everywhere it seems and people want to eat there all the time - Seattle, Chicago, DC. By far the coolest pizza place to eat at! Quick & friendly service at this location with high and low top tables. But the best part is creating your own pizza! My favorite type of crust is thin, which is what they have here unless you get the large size where they put two crusts together to make one. They have mini, mod and large for their pizza. Of course I customized my own mini pizza and shared a mini Caesar salad. Literally... Any toppings, any sauce, any way you want! Since their crust is so thin it doesn't take that long to bake. I also got to try their pizza sticks with pesto sauce. Their pesto sauce is delicious! And their pizza sticks aren't too big so it won't fill you up as much as you think. Sorry guys, was disappointed by the skimpy ingredients and failure to balance them leaving huge gaps of bare base. I'm not sure if just me but when I add olives I don't want olives to be the ingredient they add the most of. They brag that you can put as many ingredients as you want on, but seems they're not trained in making a balanced pizza. The time previously I added chickpeas on top of 5-6 other ingredients and ended up removing some 30 chickpeas and only had 7-8 pieces of other ingredients. Skimpy on final layer of cheese as well. Definitely order in person and be very direct about amounts. 1 star for price 1 star for concept 1 star for food quality -2 stars for skill and execution. read more

First, I LOVE MOD Pizza. Love their entire business model and their end product. HOWEVER, last week I stopped by and was really disappointed. The place appeared dirty and dimly lit. Half of the employees were either not wearing a mask or had their mask only protecting the mouth. I asked where the manager was and saw he was no example so I let it go, got my food and left. Put all my food in my microwave for an extra minute just to feel safe touching and eating it. Appearance matters, MOD, and you were not up to snuff this time. Luckily, it's easy to clean up a bit, turn on the all the lights and wear masks properly. Let's see what changes. I'll go back in a few days and write a follow-up. read more

I actually really like Mod Pizza. I love all the toppings they offer and love how you can put whatever and as much as you want in them. However, I'm fed up with the Mod in Issaquah Highlands. They always seem to burn the crust and underside of the pizza. I've been there a few times in the past few months and I just can't stand it anymore as it seems most times it's burnt. I will still go to Mod but I'm going to start going to another location. I love Mod and I love how they always do fundraisers, man... teach your employees to stop burning the bottom of the pizzas so they don't taste like crap. Tonight we had the best MOD crew a customer could ask for. 24 hours ago, my family and I were in Whistler BC to celebrate the holiday. For the past 11 years we did so at our house, but being that grandmother recently passed away, and always celebrated the holiday for all 11 of those years, we went out of town. Sadly we were recalled home after our family's camera picked up on our dogsitter not only neglecting our diabetic dog for many hours, but also rifling though our stuff. My sister and I went to MOD for pizzas for the family and as we were just casually chatting about our less than great few days, we get to the register and the team told us our 3 pizzas were on the house. They even comped me a milkshake! These gents nearly brought me tears of joy, and showed me that there's still good, compassionate people in this world. Couldn't believe it's taken me this long to discover Mod Pizza - it was in DT Bellevue when I lived there but for some reason never went. I LOVE this place - the pizza is fresh and I normally don't love thin pizza but this is so good and I love that it's all you can add toppings, etc. I've tried a few of their standard menu stuff and they're all good too. Also it's such an easy place to take a kid - love fast casual! I always go with Mod even though I'm not a huge eater but because the pizzas are thin they're pretty easy to eat. This is now our go to pizza place. Unfortunately I live over in Snoqualmie so it isn't just around the corner. Still after trying some other places close by and being disappointed we made it to Issaquah. Each pizza is individual and made to order (thus MOD). Each is the same price (except all cheese which is cheaper) and you can get whatever you want on your pizza at no extra charge. They also have suggestions of topping combinations if you just want to go with that. I prefer the Mad Dog with either pineapple added or spinach added depending on how I feel on the particular day. The staff here is friendly and good. They even will refire your pizza if something goes wrong with it like an enormous bubble or they forgot to add something after you walked away. You can of course stand and watch them assemble it but since I always order the Mad Dog I don't do that. They have beer and wine there as well as Mexican Coke in addition to your normal Coca Cola product selections. I prefer the Milkshake myself which is a nice touch for a pizza place. Highly recommend MOD. Eat in though because I don't think these pizza's travel well. read more

This is a great place to get pizza as the prices are super reasonable and you can get ANY toppings for free. Doesn't matter how many. This is the only place that allows me to create a gourmet pizza with their range of toppings for a $7 price of an individual pizza. Example, Mod White sauce, pesto, with mozarella and feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, grilled chicken, spinach, roasted red peppers, artichokes, chopped basil, garlic. Or the wonderful MOD red sauce, pepperoni, spicy italian sausage, crumbled meat balls, red onion, garlic with mozarella and asiago cheese. For zest you can add some pepperocini or hot buffalo sauce. Anyway, you get the idea, the combinations are endless. I love trying new combos, some are hits some can be misses but the best part is that if you create a truly inedible pizza they will let you make another one free of charge. You can do garlic strips or cinnamon strips with the base. Their salads are pretty good too, so are the lemonades and milkshakes, but I prefer to use all my calories on toppings and go with water. The vibe is cool as well as the service, the servers are all young and cheerful and take my many topping order with a smile. I love the way they mark off stuff on a sheet of paper that then becomes your pizza base paper. Highly recommended! read more

I had a great experience at this location. The customer service is amazing. The employees were very friendly and made sure you got exactly what you wanted. You can make your own pizza or choose from the signature pizzas. You can even mix and match, and add ingredients with no extra charge. I did half "Dillon James" and half "Chloe" but added jalepenos for extra kick. I also ordered a salad which you custom choose as many ingredients as you want with no extra charge. I usually don't order drinks and stick to water, but they had unique drinks aside from the usual soda pop. I enjoyed their marionberry lemonade. Since it was free refills I also did a mix of pear iced tea with regular lemonade. I only hope the other locations are just as good! read more
