Staff is friendly and I've never had to wait more than maybe about 5 minutes (and you can always go stroll through REI or something) for my pizza to be made.

If it's a 4 .5 do I leave 4 or 5 stars? Math is hard, but…read moreFlying Pie is awesome. If finding a legitimately great slice of pizza in Western Washington feels like trying to find a restaurant that doesn't give you food poisoning in a notoriously sketchy travel-advisory zone, you're not alone. The search is exhausting. Enter Flying Pie Pizza in Issaquah, which swoops in like a pepperoni-laden hero to save you . I've been here a few times now Here is my breakdown of the Good, the Bad, and the Quirky : The Good: * The Pie: Hands down one of the absolute best pizzas in the region. Their dough and sauce are homemade and made fresh daily, and you can honestly taste the difference. * The Vibe & Staff: The staff is wonderfully friendly. Plus, they have coloring pages and crayons for the kids and proudly display the masterpieces created by these little local artisans on the walls. * Retro Entertainment: By the soda machine is an old-time pinball machine. Head to the back and you will find classic 80s arcade games. (Just try not to lose your quarters before your pizza arrives). The Bad: * The Wallet Factor: It's a bit pricier than your average chain, but the quality easily justifies the extra few bucks. * The DIY Setup: You seat yourself, grab your own plates, and bus your own table. Think of it as burning off those incoming pizza calories in advance. * Service Style: The staff can sometimes be hanging out in the back, meaning they aren't always front-and-center. The silver lining? If you need something, they don't get annoyed at all if you just cheerfully yell out to get their attention. The Ugly (Or Weird): * The Ghost Bar: There is a very nice-looking bar in the back, but it is completely unmanned (they only use it to process alcohol requests). It's like a phantom watering hole. * The Bathroom Obstacle Course: Directly behind this ghost bar is a clothing rack with shirts for sale, which conveniently obstructs your view of the bathroom door. Consider it a fun little scavenger hunt after two slices of heavy-duty pie and a drink refill Final Verdict: Skip the culinary roulette elsewhere and hit up Flying Pie. Just watch out for the shirt rack on your way to the restroom!

I don't know how I haven't reviewed this place yet but I've been going here since they opened (many years ago). You MUST try the Napoli salad...seriously, chef's kiss! The pizza is delish and although I am a creature of habit and have only tried 3, I'm fairly certain they are all incredible. There is a nice bar here with some fancy drinks as well as a nice gelato selection. Your kids'll love it!

Host tells us we can sit in the bar area. It's quiet. Open. She's not drinking--we're just there to eat. An older, short waiter in a tan cap brings menus and water. She takes a sip. Then as she's about to order, he suddenly demands her ID. I explain--she's not ordering alcohol. Doesn't matter. He keeps going. Starts throwing out numbers: "It'll cost $5,000." Then somehow, "$10,000." He won't let it go. She's sitting there with half a glass of water and now we're being threatened with fines? We got up and walked out. No professionalism. No common sense. Just paranoia wrapped in attitude. You had empty tables and managed to push away paying customers. Takes a special kind of service to make that happen.

With no minimum amount or venue fee (just 20% auto gratuity), Formula was the easy choice to host a large event - plus they have plenty of parking in the back! The drink choices here are phenomenal- they have a large beer selection but they also serve cocktails, lemonade, slushies, and other non-alc drinks making it a family friendly place. My favorite was the Tieton Huckleberry Cider on tap! They also make their sourdough pizza in-house and have vegan options too. Service is fantastic and all bartenders and staff were super friendly and accommodating. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of tables and benches. Dogs are invited in the beer garden :) Thanks Ed, Danny, and Team for a wonderful and seamless reunion. Will definitely recommend and consider you for the next big event. Overall: 5/5 for drinks and food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

So, I decided to try it out. I ordered The Dominic on the regular MOD crust. I have to first say that the service was amazing! Like truly friendly. I felt as if I had just walked into the local pizza parlor. And by some of the reviews I read it seems to be that in the Issaquah Highlands. The pizza crust was perfectly thin and cooked so well. I chose a pizza with an alfredo sauce and already chosen toppings as I did not feel like deciding. But of course, you can chose your own toppings. The pizza comes with a drizzle of your choice of sauces. I chose pesto. It is a huge restaraunt with loads of good vibes from the artwork to the seating arrangements. Tall tables, booths, and a small outside area. The price is affordable as well. It may become my new after hair care tradition! SYOY!

They do have recommendations for you though. So far, most of my pizza's have had a really nice crispy undercarriage without any flop. They have a great oven which makes crispy crust. They do have gluten free options as well. We'll likely return.
