Just be prepared to stand in line. MOD pizza ... one price, any and all toppings. The crust is thin and crispy and doesn't get soggy under the toppings. Efficient in their process, the employees know exactly what they are doing, and they function well together. If there is a correction to be made, the manager yells it out, then says "Heard?" and the crew returns the same. They make the pizza as you watch so if you want an additional topping, all you have to do is ask. They are friendly, helpful, and even asked this 60 year old for ID when she ordered a beer (you canNOT convince me anyone thought I was under 21). The mini is just the right size for lunch. Just don't go there expecting to grab and go, there is always a wait to order and a wait to cook the pizza. Well worth it in my opinion. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. First it's dirty, customers leave their plates and napkins all over and no one cleans them up. The employees are lazy and would rather gossip about other co workers, than do their job. Secondly, my boyfriend had to practically beg for more than four pieces of pepporini on his pizza. Four pieces?? What the heck. And my plain cheese pizza was under cooked had hardly any cheese. How can u mess up a cheese pizza? This place may be a chain, but it eats like an upscale night on the town. Mod stands for 'modular' and that means everyone can customize their pizza exactly how they like it. The food tastes really good. But the line was super long, so it took a very long time to get our food. Two people in our party had physical disabilities that made them unable to stand in line for long periods of time, so that was kind of a mess. There were no seats for them to take breaks from the line and rest. So, I think management should think through how to accommodate customers that may not be in top physical condition. Also, having never been there before, when I approached the first employee, to make my order, she was snippy and indignant that I wasn't doing it right, instead of explaining to me how it worked. So, yeah...when I passed by there the other day and my husband offered to stop there, I politely requested to go somewhere else. We have been doing a whirlwind pizza olympics, trying every notable pizza we can get to while the summer olympics in Rio is going. So we have had a lot of great pizza, and in this context MOD doesn't look so good to us. We had MOD's simple pizzas, and they were barely OK. Crust and basic ingredients seemed like chain restaurant corporate provisions. The build-your-own thingy seems like a needless gimmick. This place is great for what it is! They have thin crust, which I love, and are the perfect size for two meals or one awesome meal. They have a lot of toppings to choose from and even dairy free cheese! Prices are cheap and it's really good pizza. The salads I've had have been pretty good as well. Every time I've been there it's been really busy. I recommend ordering ahead for pickup! Honestly, this is my first pick for pizza these days. After years of driving past I finally stopped by on July 2nd around 8:45 p.m. The pizzas ordered were great. Good ingredients, great price and a nice vibe in the place. THAT SAID, the customer who came in behind me was hearing impaired and the way the 'pizzarista' (I'm sure it's a word) handled this customer was exemplary. He quickly assessed the situation and made this other Mod-virgin feel welcome with some basic signing and showing her the options without any level of awkwardness or patronizing behavior. Normally when I go into mod pizza I get a warm welcome greeting. But this time was the worst. My mom was ordering your build your own pizza and she's a very nice person, and knows all about customer service because she works in fast food. The guy gave my an attitude when she asked for spinach as well on her pizza and then said "FYI, you should tell me before." And then when he was handing the pizza to the next guy and I heard him whisper to the other guy that this lady (my mom) was being very unclear. I'm honestly a little puzzled at the amount of high reviews mod has. Everyone I know personally has an issue with it. It is so thin that if you try to get more than two of the many toppings that MOD bases their whole business model on, the crust is saggy in the middle, sometimes tearing a hole in the middle. The crust on the outside is usually burned, but always very hard. Especially if you take a pizza to go. The employees themselves say not to take it go go, because the taste rapidly deteriorates. The crust on the outside is rock hard and charred as well. I always thought they were a higher end fast food service, similar to chipotle, that cares about natural ingredients. I was surprised to find out that the menu is virtually organic free, with the exception of their dough, which they mix non organic cheese with. MOD boasts speed above all else, and they hold up, speed above accuracy, taste, and service. I've seen more people get their order messed up and restarted than any other food place I can think of. I have also seen a very high turn around rate for employees. This MOD has been open for a little over a month, but there are employees leaving and coming all the time. There's a new now hiring sign as we speak! So do yourself a favor, next time you want pizza, either go somewhere else, or try the awesome food places at LFP mall that AREN'T a total waste of time and money. Honey bear ,for one, is a great choice. All in all, they are the subway of pizza, a good last resort when you don't want something great, just something to provide temporary nourishment until you hopefully find something better. read more

The pizza was good but not great at this location. I ordered a garlic rub on the crust then extra red sauce, the manager put the small amount of red sauce first and said that's the way they like to do it because it doesn't really matter. I said it's the customers perception that matters. The oven girl decided because I had a lot of toppings she would raise my pizza into the flames and burn it. She then carved off the worst burned areas of the pizza and through it on the floor. Usually they just leave it in a little longer but they were closing in 10 minutes. I just wish there was a vegan crust option for the salad pizza (it's supposed to come on an Asiago crust, when I got the regular crust they were very nice about it but clearly were "bending the rules" for my request, which made me feel a little awkward). They also will do half and half so you can satisfy any pizza craving! My family loves it. We'd visit weekly if it was in the budget. Outdoor seating isn't large, but you can see the water, so that, too is a bonus. It is a little off the beaten path, so it isn't as busy as the one in Ballard and Lynnwood. read more
