so typically you know that a five star review for me is pretty hard. but I will say that at this place the food is a Solid 4 but the service was a definite 5 . and to me that makes the experience! but for the value and price of fresh ingredients it's definitely teetering on a five but I tend to save my five star reviews for non-corporate chains sorry LOL. I had to stop at Menards to get some supplies for a project and was craving fresh food but too far away from Dearborn to drive. on a whim I decided to try this place and the easiest way to compare it would be a pizza version of subway. the ingredients are whole and extremely fresh, my selection was fresh roasted garlic arugula spinach red onion and mozzarella the definite fifth star on this place was the absolutely amazing service from this young appearing black female who for lack of a better description was extreemely well endowed LOL.... I'm sorry if you're reading this I wish I remembered your name!!! she was about in her late teens to early twenties, glasses, 5 ft 4, braids, husky build ,and could tell she extremely enjoyed her job ! she was perceptive enough to realize that I was new to The Establishment and could not make a decision with all the choices. she proceeded to do exactly what an excellent employee would do even up selling me to the larger $10.75 size pizza which was still definitely worth it . i wound up even purchasing a root beer I didn't need just because of the excellent service and good salesmanship.... throughout the transaction the employee was laughing and joking and making me feel extremely comfortable while pushing the product. Absolutely great tasting and I will be back I even made a point of speaking with the manager because of the excellent service! although she seemed less than receptive. i do hope the employee gets reconigition for her great work. she is a asset and shouldnt be lost . I will now make the drive to go back to that establishment. thank you for a great experience and you have turned a new customer into a permanent one. read more

Detroit style pizza this is not. Thin and tasty and real good is another. This is a great concept as this is the direction of "fast" food now. Order, pick your toppings while they make it, pay for it and then wait for a short time. Then they stick it in the brick oven and it cooks quick. I ordered the #2 - Mad Dog in the Mod size. You have never been given a pizza so hot. Do yourself a favor, wait a few minutes for the first delicious bite. This was a really good pie. Fold it in half and eat it. I'm already passing it on to people I know that this is a go to place. This is fast inexpensive lunch place that I'll be going to again. Even though my favorite Detroit style pizza gets a five star so does this place for the fast friendly great taste and good cost. Bathroom (men's) was clean. Decorations not real fancy but clean and eye catching. Polished cement floor looked very industrial. Decided to stop in with a couple girlfriends for dinner. Since we are all fans of the thin crust we decided to try this place out because of all the hub bub about it. When we walked in the first thing we noticed was the loud music. Seemed like geared towards a younger crowd. We went in and noticed the menu on the wall with different toppings for a create your own pizza concept, and already created pizzas in case you wanted something thought out. They offer a mini 6 inch that was way to small for us so we each ordered the MOD size which is around 11 inches. Then you step up to the bar of toppings and tell the person what you would like on your pizza. It doesnt matter how many toppings you choose its all one price. All the toppings looked very fresh. They also have salads such as deluxe or ceaser that also come in a small side or mini and a MOD size which we split 3 ways and each had a nice helping. They offer soft drinks, beer, wine and different lemonades. I had the marion blackberry lemonade which was very good. The pizza I ordered was fairly simple with garlic, olive oil, fresh mushrooms, red onion, grilled chicken and asiago and mozzarella cheese. It was put in the brick oven and was dine in about a minute or two. It was very good, thin with crisp edges just how I like it. The flavor was fresh and it was filling. They also have a drive thru to get it to go. All in all we were satisfied. The music was very loud but manageable to hold a conversation. Kind of pricey, but better than fast food. read more

Just visited this place over the weekend. Nice decor, clean space. There seemed to be about 5 employees too many because they were kinda just hovered around the stove just talking. I also saw 1 or 2 employees seated eating (maybe on break?) so they are clearly over-staffed. Everyone was polite though...a guy (I'm assuming a manger) came over while we were eating and asked how everything was, which was nice. And someone came while we were preparing to leave to take our trash for us, which was also unexpected but nice. Upon entering I already knew what I wanted (I picked up a take-out menu a few weeks ago, coming out of Del Taco). If I wasn't already familiar with the menu, the one they have on the wall is a bit confusing and may take a minute to piece together to make a meal. And if I'm not mistaken, the 'Build Your Own' option didn't have all the toppings listed ON the menu so you kinda just had to stare over the glass at everything and figure it out yourself. My bf and I ordered, he got the 'Caspian' which is a bbq chicken pizza and a deluxe salad. I ordered a custom with red sauce, pepperoni, spicy sausage and bacon, mushrooms, red onion and peppercini peppers. I also asked for extra mozz and pesto but they forgot the pesto. I also got a ceasar salad and a blackberry lemonade, bf got a Stella beer. With a BOGO free pizza coupon, all that came to about $32 which is kinda high (especially considering it would have been about $40 w/o the coupon...for $10 more, you and your mate can go across the street to Outback and have 2 steak dinners, drinks and a blooming onion LOL). $7.87 for that pizza was perfect for what you get (choose any or extra toppings, no cost) and both of our pizza's were delicious. But our salads were NOT worth the additional $16 on our bill...his salad tasted okay. Mine was kinda bland and dull. And they come in tiny bowls, not worth $8 a piece. The blackberry lemonade was DELICIOUS though!! Overall, we will definitely come back, just not for the salads :) read more

Under no circumstances is their gluten free pizza actually gluten free. If you're a celiac, or if gluten makes you sick, you can't eat here. They will get ingredients from the back, the crust is wrapped, but the employees aren't trained in how to cook it properly, or in how to deal with an allergy. If it's slow, and you watch them, and they put gloves on, and tin foil under the pizza, you might be ok. I have been once. But the other times, both I and my daughter got sick. I really wish companies that say they're gluten free would take it seriously. I really liked the pizza I got when it was done correctly, but it's a lot of effort and a lot of risk. read more

After reading reviews from friends that attended the grand opening of this location we decided to give it a try. Walking in we were unprepared for the hearty Hello from the crew as we opened the door. (More on this later) We were guided to the ordering area where we looked over the menu and decided what to eat. The first server gave us a couple of good ideas. We settled on a couple of mini pizzas,a salad and garlic strips. This is where things fell apart. The one server (Server#1) got the pizza ready then handed to Server#2. Sauce was ordered and then the pizza was passed to Server#3. Server#1 started the salad. Simultaneously Servers#1 & #3 each escalated in volume vying for attention on what meats on pizza and what type of lettuce. When meats were ordered the pizza was passed to Server#4, who then wanted to know about veggies. Again questions from different people at the same time about different parts of the meal, along with now asking me about my pizza and garlic sticks was too much. After we finally got things straightened out we went to sit only to find the three tables we first wanted to sit at were quite dirty and needed a good wipe down. We finally got a spot to eat where we then learned that every time the door opened the whole crew hollered hello! Esprit d'Corps is fine, but coupled with the radio on "Metallica concert" level we were both left almost having to holler ourselves in order to converse. They did visit our table at least seven times to check on us, where we did voice the volume as an issue. I think it got quieter but I couldn't tell for sure. Veggie cross contamination on the salad was also an issue when we found olives mixed in somehow. I wish these guys good luck in their endeavors, because I just couldn't find enough good stuff here to make a return visit. read more

There's a large variety of topping choices and the pizza dough is tasty. You can get cinnamon strips for dessert and garlic bread and/or salad for sides. Love this place. This is my kids and I go-to spot for quick, delicious pizza and salads. I really like the ability to get any toppings for a flat rate for each pizzas. The kids get a mini (which is plenty) and just tell the staff what they want-great since we all like different things. There's so many topping options to pick from. I've been to Blaze Pizza in Novi and their concepts are basically the same with a different title. You pay 7-8$ for a medium sized thin crust pizza with unlimited toppings and it's flash fired for about 90 seconds. It's pretty cheap and it's amazing the type of pizzas you can make! read more

For a fast food place, MOD is excellent! I went here for the first time today. Was incredibly impressed. The guy at the counter asked if this was my first visit I said yes and he told me how it works-described the setup as the same as Subway. I went with the standard size and loaded up the pizza. It was delicious! A decent sized pizza, that I created and a drink all for under $10. The meat seemed fresh as did the veggies. I left full and didn't break the bank. I also loved the Pear iced tea.
