I haven't been here in years, decades even, but in recent journeys I had pizza on the brain and PR was calling to me strong driving by. I stopped in to place my order and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I got 2 classic round pizzas, pep/ mush/ onion and tried the chicken margherita and both were delicious! Plentiful toppings, hot and tasty. Crust was perfect and you could tell fresh ingredients were used. I waited for my pies and they were ready in estimated 15 min frame, it was in evening and maybe 2 hours before closing? I will definitely be back and encourage you to stop in as well! read more

I am mostly familiar with delivery here but I have also swung by for a pickup. They are awesome. Every order I have gotten here has been correct. They listen and get it right. I am often ordering for several people and I have even had to call back and add items to an existing order and they never give me guff. Just yes ma'am and thank you ma'am and what can I do for you ma'am. I love that. They show up on time and are polite. My fave thing here is the Italian style chicken dinner with marinated grilled half chicken plus wedge fries and bambino bread (covered in garlic butter and parm). So much food, you can split it. Really delicious. The pasta salad is great with tri colored rotini and fresh veggies, the Italian dressing wraps it all up well. The lettuce based salads are all good. Again, the veggies are fresh so it is hard to f it up. The steak and cheese sub is tasty with the thinly sliced mushrooms, red onions, seasoned chipped steak and plenty of cheese. I ask for a bit of Italian dressing to drizzle on it and it makes it utter happiness. The pizza is standard and I do not order it much. Definitely one of my fave places to order from at work :). read more

It was pretty good. Next time I'll try the square which will probably be amazing cuz the round was good. But it costs $2 more for the square and I didn't have enough cash - they also charge $1 if you use credit/debit card on a less than $7 purchase :/ not happy about that. Well here we go again,gave them another chance hoping to get a eatable pizza but it didn't happen. Ordered a three topper deep dish and a steak sub, the sub was really good but the pizza was not. I ate a couple of corner pieces then took a middle piece to discover it was raw. Tons of sauce that I did not request, the dough was so raw I could take it and shape it from a square shape to a round shape. That can't be healthy for your guts, I didn't even call to complain what's the point? NOT cheap to put it in the trash but in it went , thought after all the years of making pizza that they would at least now how to cook a pizza. At least there's a new Dominos that's open on Telegraph in Dearborn to try out. Or Vintage Market in Westland that has awesome pizza at about half the price , not to far away Ann Arbor Trail and Middlebelt. Check them out on line read more

I am giving it 3 stars because as a business I think they can improve, however, the food was amazing. If it were based on the quality of the food alone, it would be 5 star rating. However, there are a few concerns. First impressions have a huge effect on people. After reading the reviews on here and deciding that I was going to give it a shot, I went to their website to order online. Everything went smoothly, until I wanted to choose to pay with my credit card. Little did I know (and I think it may have been there, but-who does this anymore these days?!), when you select to pay with credit card, you have to go to the store and pick up your order. Like I said-who does this?! I immediately wanted to cancel my order because the whole point of getting pizza was not to leave the house. I said screw it and just left to go pick it up. I will say that until this gets fixed, I will ONLY call into the store or not order at all. When I did arrive at the store, the parking lot is quite small and a one-way operation-yet people dont get this and drive the wrong way--I almost got into an accident. Granted this is not Papa's fault, but when going to the store to pick up, just be careful. When I arrived, however, the owner was out front smoking. THE OWNER. I get that this is Dearborn Heights area, but as an OWNER you should be concerned with how customers perceive your image of the company. SInce I did not pay online, I almost didn't go in and get my pizza. I couldn't believe it. If you need to smoke, go out back. I get in the store, paid for my order, and left. I ordered a medium round pizza with pepperoni, ham, and green pepper, and a bambino size of their breadsticks for $12.17. Both were completely amazing. Those breadsticks--hands down some of the best I have had-they almost didn't make it to my house. Like I said, the food was spectacular, and if it were based on that alone, I would've given it a 5 star rating. read more

In town visiting The Henry Ford museum and stayed at The Henry. When looking for dinner, we decided we wanted pizza. Looking around the Yelp reviews, it was not an easy search - nothing jumped out. We decided to order from Papa Romano's, and we were glad we did. They delivered right to our hotel room and the pizza was hot and delicious. If you are a guest to the Dearborn area, I would highly recommend this place for your pizza quest. I've never met a bad pizza, but this would never come close to being "bad" as the taste and quality seemed high. This used to be our favorite pizza spot. Now, after numerous fails, we won't be back. Under cooked chicken twice (2nd time my 10 yr old got food poisoning), burned pizzas, and at least 1.5 hour delivery times with no warning at time of order. From the moment my sister had me try their pizza years ago, I instantly became a fan. But after my experience last night, I refuse to ever buy another pizza from this store again! I am truly disappointed with the management for their lack of respect to customer service and their lack of appreciation for my business. I have been a loyal customer for years, well over 5 years! Not only do I buy pizza from there at least once every month, but I would truly recommend it to anyone and everyone I came across! And each time I would order the same thing...a "party pack with papa" special which is their 2 jumbo one topping pizzas. I spend approximately $30 each time, which is NOT cheap pizza. Yesterday, (2/2/19), We were hosting friends and we decided to order pizza. Of course I ordered my usual, and asked specifically for their "party pack with papa" special in deep dish. When my husband picked it up, I noticed the boxes looked small but didn't think twice about it. I was finishing up making a salad to go with the pizza and asked my guest to get the kids started as they were already whining they were hungry. It wasn't until she served the fourth kid that I saw the actual pizza inside and noticed it was only a large pizza with 10 slices. We were 5 adults and 5 kids and my 3 kids alone typically eat at least 3-4 slices each! I was not gonna have enough food to feed everyone. So I called the store and explained the problem hoping they will quickly fix it. Instead, they tried to place the blame on me stating their employee repeated the order to me. Well I heard her say XL not large and the total ($27) was around what I normally pay for a party pack not 2 larges, so I had no reason to question the order. I was on the line for about 15 minutes all the while my guests were over and I was being interrogated over the phone, instead of being apologized to for the simple miscommunication. When I told them I was a long time customer and I order from them almost every month and this is the order I always place, the girl looked it up and responded with "you ordered only 14 times!" Fourteen visits of ~$30 each visit wasn't good enough for them! They actually asked me to bring back the pizza I picked up. When I refused to be charged more for them to correct their mistake, the girl hung up in my face! I was absolutely dumbfounded with the lack of service and respect. Even more insulting was when I went to look up the customer service number online, they have a promotion for 2 large one topping pizzas for $17.99 for the Super Bowl (2/3/19) and they charged me $27 (2large regular priced pizzas) for the same deal their employee incorrectly placed!!!! $10 more. When I question them, they stated they only give it if you request it. Well, first of all, I requested the party with papa "special" so the promotional price should have been honored and second customers should know this location will NOT inform you of deals and will over charge you any chance they could. The manager Tom did not apologize for his employees actions and actually defended her by refusing to tell me her name and deterring my concerns. He refused to give me the store owners number or means of communication to voice my complaint. OVERALL APPALLED at the treatment I received. Since they don't appreciate my 14 - $30 orders in the past year alone, I am taking my business elsewhere. And their lack of customer service makes me question how honorable they prepare my food, so for this very reason I cannot get myself or my family to eat from their store again! Not only great food but absolutely reliable. I live in Chicago but grew up in the Detroit area. In the unfortunate circumstance of a death, in lieu of flowers I prefer to send pizza's. I have used these folks and they are absolutely flawless. They execute perfectly and are trustworthy. For this fact alone I go out of my way to eat there when I am back in D-town. So, I look at my cell phone and found a pizza phone number saved in my address book. So, I called and low and behold it was you Papa!!! So, I ordered an individual pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions. Luckily you weren't busy and had it ready within 15 minutes - so you said. I pulled up in your drive way and went in, exactly 15 minutes later! A handsome man was standing there with my pizza in hand waiting for me - now, that is what I call a dream of a pizza shop Papa!!! It is crispy on bottom, perfect softbedd inside, loaded with toppings and has a flavorful sauce. To top it off, they never take the coupon, so i can use it over and over again.
