On the way out after I finished eating. A gentleman finally came out to clean the tables. Service 3 STARS The staff were pleasant. When I needed ketchup or honey packs. They quickly obliged me. Food 2 STARS I chose a combo with a slider, one chicken finger and fries. I opted for the regular slider since there are no more mini sliders. It was just too thick to eat. I think they were a bit stingy with the slaw. The fries were decent. The chicken tender was juicy, but very average. Not sure if it's this location. Since I usually visit Plano. The cost is a little bit more compared to other chicken place and the combo does not come with a drink, however, the portioning are very big! One order would have been enough for me and my son. Service seemed fast, they also serve some beer . The food can be very spicy depending on what seasoning you prefer. The taste is fine, but I think I prefer other place . Chicken was actually really tasty! I got MILD to try and have to say - it wasn't even the slightest spicy for me. The chicken was moist and crunchy on the outside and the seasoning was quite well dusted on top. I really enjoyed that the chicken wasn't overly greasy too! I'm not a huge fan of deep fried heavily breaded chicken, but even though it was a little thicker than I like, the taste was excellent in the chicken was juicy. Now, the food was ready pretty soon, there wasn't much of a wait. This was probably the worst chicken I've had in my life. I kept hope that it would get better with each bite, but both me and the people I went with (who got varying levels of spice) agreed it was difficult to get through the meal. The food is delicious and the service is great! Everyone's so nice and attentive. The ambiance gives school spirit. The walls are decorated with local schools in the area and its sports related. I got extra hot on the number 3 and I suggest you start with medium or hot because extra hot was pretty spicy. They have a NOT chicken which is vegetarian options for people who don't eat meat. You can turn any combo into not chicken or you can try the bites. I also had their top loaded shake. You can choose between vanilla, chocolate or strawberry and add Oreos or m&ms on top. I had vanilla with Oreos on top, yum!! One of the employees said they have Cinnamon Toast Crunch coming soon so I'm excited to go back and try that when it comes out. It was okay. Definitely looked better than it tasted. Not sure if it was the flavor that we got but there was a lot of seasoning all over, too much in my opinion. They used the same seasoning on the fries as they did on the chicken and it was a little sweet. The Dave's sauce tasted like mayo and was not very appealing so we asked for some ranch and they did not have any at all. Maybe if we had ranch the chicken would have been better. We were just expecting more since it was our first time but I can say we will not be trying this again. It was messy, the chicken was falling out of the slider since its strips inside. I ordered my food on GrubHub and when I picked it up, I checked my meal and it wasn't done correctly (pickles). No big deal, I thought, I went back and asked for a replacement. The cashier asked for a picture of my receipt, which I showed him, and he told me it'd be five minutes. I waited 10 minutes and went to the window and was ignored because there's a long line. I didn't wanna be obnoxious so I waited a little bit more. I'm pretty confident they know I was there. After not being prioritized over the line inside, I knocked on the window. (I was at the online order window.) and I asked the associate the status of my food. He said it's gonna be a little bit longer because of how the system works, yada yada. I said nonsense - asked to talk to the manager. Manager came over, and he didn't express any concern about my wait. He did not know what was happening, and I had to re-explain why I was waiting. He told me I would have to continue waiting as they have other customers. I said it wasn't fair that I have to continue waiting since I came first, my food was wrong and now they're prioritizing new customers over me. Still not expressing any concern for my experience, the manager just said, let me replace your food, but I need your plate back. I'm not trying to get free food, I don't mind, but the way that was asked, made it seem as if I was trying to get free food, which is really unfortunate. I complied, and within two minutes I got my new sliders and I headed out. This experience was really a stand out because this is not the first time I've been to Dave's. I really like the food. I understand that the restaurant needs to continue serving other customers, but I felt as if no one cared about my situation, and I kept getting pushed back to the end of the line. It's unfair, the rest of my order was cold by the time I got home, And I don't know when I'm going back to Dave's. I'd rather go somewhere else where they get it right first and treat me better.
