North Texas needs to get on the Birdcall train! I'll be devastated if this place flys under the radar because everyone keeps going to Chick-fil-A or Whataburger. Everything here is fresh, made to order, and made with all-natural ingredients. Yes, you may wait a little longer, pay a bit more, but it's absolutely 100% worth it. I've been to this location several times and have used both the drive-thru and dined in. Every visit has been a great experience, and the staff has always been friendly and kind. My favorites are the chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders with Birdcall Sauce. I like all their sauces get an assortment. The fries are excellent, and the tots are just as good, (get the loaded tots you won't be sorry). You can really tell they care about quality from the food to the people who work here. My husband and I picked up birdcall for a Friday night dinner and we were not disappointed! We tried the deluxe sandwich with fries! The fries were fried to perfection and the chicken was cooked great! You could tell that the chicken was a higher quality and the breading was fried perfectly! I could do with a little less mayo but that's a personal choice! We also got a variety of sauces: Bird Call, Bird Call BBQ, Siracha Aioli, and Buttermilk ranch. Just popped into Birdcall for the first time. Seeing they have just opened I was already prepared for anything. We were greeted upon entering and provided instructions on how to place our order and more importantly how to modify anything. Great touch. We ordered at the kiosk and waited for our food. We ordered 5 Nashville hot tenders with a side of tots. The Southern Chicken sandwich which comes with coleslaw and pimento cheese. And 2 sauces, the Birdcall sauces. Food was freshly prepared and out in under 8mins. There is indoor and outdoor seating along with a kid friendly environment. Food came out hot and boy was the Nashville hot spicy. Everything was great! It took a bit for our order to be ready (sub 10 minutes), but the tenders my daughter and I both got were piping hot! We ate inside and picked up our order as soon as it hit the bay for pickup, so maybe that contributed. The Nashville slider is quite spicy, and the Bird sauce is your typical Canes style sauce. I was really excited to see this restaurant being built. Then they painted it and put up all the signage and I forgot about it. But then I was looking up new places to eat around the area, and there's always plenty of options. Since we agreed that chicken sounded good, we placed our dinner order and were ready to enjoy our dinner! Things didn't quite go according to plan, as the tenders were hit or miss. One was juicy, the next dry. And that was the general pattern of the sliders too. The highlights would have to be the lemonade and the banana cream pie milkshake. Those were probably the best parts of our meal. A close second would be both the French fries and the tater tots. I could see the loaded tots being promising since their potato fried sides were great. My Buffalo chicken salad was ok. Even with the creamy (my guess is ranch) base, their Buffalo sauce has a good kick to it. I couldn't see kids enjoying this unless they liked a bit of heat. Understandably, they were busy because it was right around 6 pm. But our order was missing a birdcall sauce, where we received a buffalo instead. We wanted to try the birdcall and our son wasn't going to be able to handle the buffalo so that was a wash. I'm not sure I could convince my husband to have another meal here. First of all, the food was very tasty! However, this place is WAY overpriced for fast food. They don't offer combos, so everything's à la cart per the guy who took our order. Both of my kids wanted dirty sodas, so I ordered them. They are $5 each and one child said that hers 'tasted like cough medicine'. We were the only people in line, and it took quite some time to receive our food. Like, close to 10 minutes to just get our food. Additionally, they charge you per sauce that you would want to dip your items in! Um. My bill was almost $60! I ordered a salad, but when I got home, I had no dressing at all in the bag. The receipt was also conveniently not in my bag. The guy at the drive thru was incredibly kind, but I was really surprised about how long it took to get our food and that my receipt was never offered through the window OR placed in my bag. If you read online, it mentions left and right about combo meals, but the McKinney location doesn't offer that. And, I'm pretty sure that I got financially raked across the coals for sauces alone which is WHY I really wanted my receipt. So this is actually my second review, first one was on Google. I have now had my second experience here and I must say Kairee brought the customer service to next level. I ordered delivery through their website, I learned that it comes delivered third party through DoorDash which I completely understand a little bit longer of a wait time. I ordered the headliner this time which is amazing and has a nice spice, the tater tots which are flavored perfectly, and a vanilla milkshake which unfortunately didn't make it(seems like a driver error). It is not safe for celiacs, which is all kinds of disappointing. The chicken will still give you a reaction. The tater tots are a different story. I have been able to have those without a reaction. But there's no breading. I went there to order a soda and the service was terrible. They tried to physically take my phone out of my hands rather than just let me pay. I left without paying because they would not let me pay unless I gave them my phone. I'm not sure what kind of corporate training they're going through, but it is not normal to demand that a customer handover their personal unlocked cell phone device in order to purchase some goddamn tater tots. read more

Finally, got around to trying Birdcall. I had heard that the tots were great, and that is an understatement. But, the loaded tots were so good, it's hard to put into words. The chicken sandwich was very tasty and I am excited to try all the different flavors. What made Birdcall so great was the employees, they are all so helpful, explaining all of the options and assisting with our order. It was very refreshing. It is great to see happy employees, sadly that isn't seen to much anymore. The location was extremely clean, even the bathroom smelled like disinfectant.
