I finally discovered a solid place to eat in Oak Creek! So many chains and mediocrity! The Cellar has a bar area and a separate eating area if you want to sit away from the bar area. Some dinners come with chili, soup or a salad. I got the chili. It was full flavored. I wished they had some hot sauce but it was still a great choice. The shrimp seemed to have been breaded on site and not from a Sysco bag. The Italian was packed with meat and was impossible to finish. We had great service from every employee which seems to be so rare. I will definitely return.

Popped in here for a quick lunch. Good service. Had some good lunch specials, but opted for a pizza. Glad I did! Got the cellar special. Lots of toppings, great thin, crispy crust!

I was on my way home from Friday baseball day game in Chicago and wanted to pick up a fish fry along the way. The Celler on Oakwood was the closest of my bookmarks to the highway with a fish fry I hadn't yet tried once I was back in Wisconsin, so I gave them a shot. I ordered wonton mozzarella sticks and beer battered cod with potato pancakes. At the end of my phone order I was told it would be ready in about 10 minutes. I was only 11 minutes away according to my map app, so I said that was perfect. Given how soggy the breading was on the fish and that everything in general was warm instead of hot, I assume it was done in much less time than 10 minutes. Not thrilled about the poor timing. The mozzarella sticks came with five large sticks, so you get a good value for your money if you're only worried about size and quantity. The cheese, though, was bland. I also asked for no Parmesan sprinkled on top and they didn't listen. At least it wasn't a ton and not difficult to brush what I could off. I liked the flavor of the potato pancakes, but unfortunately for this particular order they were pretty thick (normally that wouldn't be a problem). Any remaining crispiness that wasn't zapped out of the outsides by condensation in the to go box was negated by the mushier texture of the inside. If I were to dine in I would certainly get them again, but not something to go. If you're dining in the fish is probably very good. Again, the soggy breading didn't do it for me, but I could taste the beer in the batter and I feel like it had a good ratio of breading to beer. The four pieces were well sized too.

There's nothing negative you could say about the Cellar. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a steak and it was beautifully done.

There is a small portion for outdoor seating, but it's the interior that makes this place unique. A panoply of saloon memorabilia covers the walls and ceiling in its entirety. It is an impressive site to behold. It was neat spotting some of the items that are also in my personal collection, and I could write all day about the décor, but this is a food review. My family and I dined there on 8/5 for my brother's birthday. I'll begin by saying our waitress Cindy did an excellent job as she was friendly and attentive. For my entrée, I went with the Monterey Steak Bites, which is listed as an appetizer on the menu. I'm not the largest guy, so the 6oz of grilled black angus steak was plenty for me. The bites are sauteed with white wine, mushrooms, garlic butter, and topped with a layer of melty Monterey Jack Cheese. Everything about this dish was perfect. My steak was tender and juicy, the mushrooms were abundant, large, and fresh, the garlic flavoring was noticeable but not overpowering, and the plethora of cheese was more than enough to satisfy this cheesehead. If there was any negative to it, it would be that it was so rich, I had a bit of a stomachache after, but that's why I don't eat this way all the time. Almost forgot to mention, it comes with a tiny cocktail fork that was ideal for spearing the steak and mushrooms. Phenomenal job, Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews *The plethora of drinks on the menu was also impressive

I've had the salads and bowls but was still underwhelmed in the flavor department, especially if I'm skipping on the dressing. They carry Rishi teas, which always have great flavor. To start, we ordered the Korean cauliflower. It came out in a reasonable amount of time and had nice flavor, was served hot, and was a good portion. There were some nicely sized pieces on top, but underneath was a pile of smaller pieces that turned into a bit of a gooey mess. For our entrees, I had the Hot Bacon Salad, and she ordered the fish tacos. Both were good, served hot, and had solid flavor. Portions were generous, and we ended up taking some home. Service: Service throughout the meal was very good. They did a great job getting us settled with waters and menus. Our server was super enthusiastic and friendly, and the pacing was spot on. Nice job, Brandon. Atmosphere: It's a well-designed space. It was very busy, though there were still plenty of booths and seating options. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a small group that was video chatting and had a screaming baby on the other end. I like babies... just not while I'm eating. Overall: Mostly a good experience. What a great find!…read more We're in town from Illinois for a baseball tournament and stopped by Oak Creek Diner for breakfast. From the moment we walked in, we knew we'd found a local favorite. The counter service was a great bonus and gave the place that classic diner feel. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The corned beef hash was some of the best we've had, the Western omelette was loaded with fresh ingredients, and the meat lovers skillet was hearty, packed with bacon, sausage, ham, and plenty of flavor. Every plate came out hot, the portions were generous, and everything was cooked just right. Friendly service, great food, and a classic diner atmosphere. If you're in the Oak Creek area, whether you're a local or just passing through like we were, this place is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

This is a solid breakfast spot and every table was in service towards the end of our meals. We had a chili cheese omelette and the country fried steak breakfast. I had the country fried steak this time but I did have the chili cheese omelette on my last visit and I didn't snap any pictures because a customer had a medical emergency and an ambulance and fire truck came to the restaurant but I remember liking it. The decor is nothing fancy but it's not a dive with over priced omelets like my breakfast experience, look at my last review. The country fried steak was noticeably bigger than most places around town except for NA cafe which is a real country steak and I just expected a frozen restaurant supply quality. It was golden brown with that commercial sausage gravy which is the norm for 99% of breakfast restaurants around town so I'm not going to knock them on that because I'm a country fried steak guy all my life. The sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly. The extra crispy hash browns were cooked perfectly and the sourdough toast was better than the average restaurant where you couldn't tell if it was white or sourdough with that chew. Overall it's a solid breakfast spot with all my visits and at $13 it's $9 cheaper than my last breakfast experience at a dive restaurant and hits the spot.

The service was fantastic. I'm sorry I didn't catch our server's name, but she was attentive without being intrusive and took great care of us. We had shared that we were tired and hungry, so she brought us bread, hot from the oven, with butter. I had the quarter dark chicken, which was tasty but a little dry (not surprising considering it was near 11 pm), with sides of baked sweet potato (divine) and french onion soup (a very generous, cheesy, classic bowl - hadn't had it in years and loved it). SO had a burger (juicy and also very generously sized - he couldn't finish the last few bites!) and steak fries (nicely seasoned and tasty). Parking is plentiful, although apparently there's only one entrance. Honestly, the reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the gambling machines and sports on tv everywhere, which are a nuisance to the atmosphere but didn't detract from the food, our main objective. A solid choice close to the airport. Happy with our experience.
