My pizza was incredible - I was looking for something similar to Blaze Pizza and MOD was a great choice. I can't say I loved the cheesy garlic bread... not a fan of the chunks of minced garlic, would much rather have garlic powder on the cheese bread or something, so I wouldn't order that again but I would go back for the wood fired za!

This really surprised me today! What a perfectly decorated pizza joint! Of course we hit the lunch rush today and only had to wait in line for about 5-10 min. But built our own pizzas. 30+ toppings to choose from and lots of fresh options! Pizza came out quick after paying and was absolutely yummy! See you again soon Mod!

If you want to customize pizza, Mod is definitely the place I recommend. The people are amazing and do a consistently good job. Getting to dial in on the perfect pizza for you is great and you get great options. The cheese bread and No Name cakes are great additions to the pizza. It's always clean which makes it nice if you eat at the location. Overall, if you're interested in pizza it's pretty quick and delicious every time.

There seem to be a lot of these quick, fast casual build-your-own pizza places opening up and this is one of the better ones. It's a simple concept. Similar to a Subway or Chipotle, you enter, stand in line and either pick a recipe from the wall or design your own pizza as you go through the line. Once you get to the end you can order your choice of beverage (beer, soda, water are available) and a dessert if you're game. Once your order is complete then you can go and find a table and wait for your pizza to cook. After about five minutes it'll be ready. Easy peasy. It'll taste good too. Note: Parmesan cheese, peppers, sriracha and other condiments as well as additional silverware and napkins are available next to the soda machine. While not super large, the dining area is spaced well. It's also very clean and inviting. Plus you get a nice sized and filling meal for a decent price.

MOD is a ways fantastic!! Since moving to KS a year ago from AZ where there is a plethora of fantastic eatery establishments, I've missed good brick oven pizza. You can't ever go wrong with MOD because they have every option to choose from from regular to GF crust and ALL the toppings and sauces. I hope they expand and open more locations soon like Topeka, Lawrence and Emporia.

So, it's 8pm and we find ourselves heading back to our hotel in Olathe after a long day of softball tournaments. We're all a little grouchy and tired from the days events and the adults (ok, the momma and the hangry dad) are wondering what we can order for dinner that wouldn't cost us a fortune. We get up to our room, listen to our teenagers fight, look up what's close and will deliver for a not outrageous price to our hotel, and decide that MOD pizza looks acceptable. Holy cow was it a solid decision. We each got a pizza with exactly the toppings we wanted. The crust was amazing. The toppings were generous and fresh. We ordered our pizzas at 9:12, and they were delivered to our hotel room fresh and hot by 9:41. Including a 15% tip for the delivery driver, our total was $44. Four 11" pizzas with crazy amounts of toppings delivered. Incredible. I can't say enough good things. Pictured is the carnage left from the hit this family of four put on the FOUR fully customized individual pizzas- we had less than one pizza left. So good. We will be back.

Oh man, this place is great!!! Upon walking in, you're instantly greeting, I mean by everyone working there, it's pretty awesome! Everyone was friendly, If you didn't know what you were doing because it's your first time there, they walk you threw everything. It's kinda like Chipotle style pizza place where you can choose everything and anything you want on your pizza. The price is one set price, so they don't charge extra for toppings. All the toppings are fresh. I don't know what kind of "style" pizza this is though, I just know it's amazing! The crust is then and crispy on the edges, but not cracker like all the way through. Which is my favorite! I cannot wait to go back there! You gotta go check them out!!!

I've always passed by MOD but never stopped by until one afternoon with some friends. Since it was our first time, the pizza-makers were very friendly in explaining the ropes of the place. The price was very affordable and there was an endless amount of toppings offered. Moving down the topping line, I couldn't help but add more and more toppings (This was my first time trying asparagus on pizza!). After paying, the pizza came out rather quick and was delicious! I loved its thin crust and how it was baked in a brick oven. Good pizza and fast service, what more can you ask for?

July 16th noon. Second day in a row I've come in for a good salad. Their salads are typically fantastic. But for the second day in a row the lettuce has been limp, slimy, and brown. This place is delicious!! It was our first time here and the man working (I wish I could remember his name) was so nice and informative. Honestly, I haven't had genuine hospitality like this in quite some time. He even stopped by our table to fill us in on weekly specials after we had ordered. The crust is thin, light and crispy. Less than impressed and won't be returning. Pros: fairly quick, gluten free crust available. Cons: salad had way too much dressing, tables were dirty, did not enjoy the food I ordered. Got the pizza salad with gf crust. They use Asiago cheese on the pizza part which just isn't the right option. The ordering/paying process was completely inefficient. And then a hair or eyelash in my salad. Barf. read more

We ordered 3 pizzas and a salad from this location and had Uber Eats deliver the food. The Uber driver misplaced a pizza and left the food on the front step which is not what I asked for. I called the restaurant and they asked me to try the driver because they were confident they loaded them all in her car. Long story short MOD stepped up and remade all of our pizzas!!!! So this was a off day for this location. I have been to other locations and love MOD Pizza. Tonight they were horribly understaffed (4 souls). But they were also without a leader. They weren't that busy but it took over a hour. Pizzas were getting burnt. Then the ones that weren't were stone cold by the time they got served. The apparent team leader was trying to multi task. Cash register. Load oven. Cook pizza. Cut pizza. It was a train wreck. My sons pizza was burnt so bad he could only eat the middle 4". The kid made a replacement pizza that then was only 1/3 cooked. They gave me 1 free pizza card for my $43 meal that was inedible. Which took about a hour to get. Less than impressed. I won't be taking my family back here. read more

Mod Pizza is a 'straunt that is straight to the point, so I will be too for this review. It's no secret that when it comes to getting good pizza, the better option would be to take matters into your own hands. At Mod Pizza I can feel like a king, and order my servants to serve me up a pie loaded with all the freshest ingredients. The pizza is then stowed away in a brick oven and smoked in a hickory wood fire for maximum flavor. It is safe to say, Mod Pizza is my Restaurant Recommendation of the Day. read more

I work close to this MOD pizza. I almost never eat out, but the few times I do, this is where I am going! Reason prices, unlimited heathy toppings, super fresh and delicious, perfect crust, what more could you ask for!! SO much better than Panera flatbread, or any pizza chain. If I could, I would eat here multiple times a week! Fabulous! read more

Love this place but I placed an online order, drove 15 minutes to get there, and still had to wait over 30 minutes for my online order to be completed. It also seemed that those who ordered in store after I had got there received their pizzas before I did. read more

MOD Pizza is awesome. I really like that you can put whatever you want on the pizza for one price. It really makes it simple. I normally start with the Mad Dog, and modify it. They have finishing drizzles, but I like getting the sri-rancha drizzle on the side for dipping. Even with the line to the door, it goes fast, and the pizza comes out quickly. Way better than Pie 5 in my opinion. read more

So much better than Pie Five. First....the crust!!! It actually has flavor, light and crisp, and it's cooked in an actual wood fired oven...no a conveyor belt style toaster oven. Second...as many toppings as you want, and they are super fresh and delicious. You can tell they aren't as processed as other places. Third...birch beer and 4 flavors of iced tea!!! The style of the building was modern but comfortable. The staff was friendly and they were very helpful in helping to make suggestions. Also, they offer multiple sizes of pizza which is fantastic because sometimes you are starving and other times, you just want a warm snack. We will definitely be back!! read more

I'll first say I don't understand all the five star reviews. This place is just ok. The crust is nothing special, the pizza sauce is pretty bland, and the ingredients aren't much better than you'd find at Papa Murphy's Pizza. The only think they really have going for them is pricing. You can get whatever you want on a pizza for a flat price, about $7.99 regardless of one topping or 20 toppings. So if you are just looking for cheap pizza, Mod Pizza is your place. If you want quality pizza, go someplace else like D'Bronx, Grimaldi's, Rosetti's, etc. read more

Being a vegetarian I can confirm that it's extremely hard to find a place that doesn't charge for extra toppings. This place is a gem in regards! I'm a huge fan of their BYO(Build Your Own Pizza). The staff was really friendly, and asked every customer if it was their first time and took time to explain how it works. The one star less is because I didn't see them change their hand gloves for every order, and they kept using the hand in every topping. So, basically lot of contamination from meat to vegetables to cheeses. read more

So happy to have a new, casual dining option that's actually serving good food. We got two pizzas to go and we're out the door in 5 minutes. Gluten free crust is great. Crispy crust. Awesome toppings - unlimited on the mod size pizza. For under $8. Will definitely be back. My only suggestion is to roast the roasted garlic a little longer. It should be sweet and melt in your mouth. read more

From the moment I received my pizza and cheese sticks. I can already tell the the size compared to the price is nuts and I'll never end up eating mod again. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and cheese sticks with ranch sauce. When I flipped it over I've noticed it's burnt on both pies. There wasn't enough toppings and the cheese sticks were all out dry. I've eaten it because I didn't have a choice and I was to hungry. Mod, if you're reading this. You've lost a customer. FYI: turn the oven down some. I worked at cicis Pizza for five years as a single cook. Your cooks need to do better. read more

This is the first MOD I've ever been too. I didn't know anything about this place. Never heard of or seen one before. My date, skinny as a toothpick, took me here. You build your own personal pizza. It's similar to the way you order a sandwich at Subway, but better. You walk along telling your pizzaiolo what ingredients to put on your pizza. You decide what ingredients to add, how much of each ingredient, how you want the ingredients arranged, everything just the way you want it. As soon as you're done, into the brick oven it goes. Everything is fresh. No canned mushrooms. Good quality. Good price. The pizza crust is thin and crispy. As soon as your pizza is out of the oven, they slice it, box it, and call your name. You can dine in or carry out. They use thick pizza boxes that travel well and keep everything hot and crispy. MOD is great personal pizza. read more

Really, really great pizza, but... TOO greasy! I had to stop going I was gaining so much weight. Real tasty though. It's pretty fast cooked so sometimes the crust doesn't get cooked completely. Very nice people, can get loud at times (music). And it's so freaking cold in there. Honestly I stopped going, I felt like I was having a heart attack! It's sooooooo greasy! I think anytime I want a quick bite to eat in south Olathe, this is the place. I usually go at off peak times and there is never a wait. Large ingredient list to chose from, but my advice is to not over do it. The crust is so good you want to be able to taste it. Wood fired and just enough to fill you up,I usually take mine to go that I request it to be cut crisscross in bite size pieces. Staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

I ordered my internet order at 12, asked for it to be ready at 1245. I arrived at 1240, the lady asked my name, I told her my name and she started looking around....so I sat right I front and waited...15 minutes and a full line later I went up and noticed my order was just sitting there...she acted like she hadn't ever seen me before and was rude. Fantastic!! What more can you say. Quick friendly service at an extremely reasonable price. Add whatever you want, it's the same price. Lots of specialty pizzas or build your own. I've been there many times and have always been happy. They also have lots of specials and freebies for those who serve the community. I've seen free pizza days for teachers, firefighters, hospital workers and more. Can't praise them high enough!! read more

I must say I was not sure about it when I first heard about it. But now it is my #1 go to place to eat. This pizza is DELICIOUS. Any toppings you want for the same price. Cooked in a firepit to perfection. And there blackberry lemonade with a splash of sprite is to die for. The setting is real casual and the people are awsome. This is a place you want to go for sure. read more

Good pizza and a lot of variety. I'm taking one star off for them running out of onions and taking one star off for the rude cashier. Can't believe that a pizza place ran out of onions and the cashier needs lessons in customer service. We ordered soft drinks with our pizza and after he took our money he turned around and walked off. We had to yell to get his attention for our cups. Overall the pizza was good so the 3 stars is for variety, taste and quick cooking time. read more

I cant believe I haven't reviewed Mod pizza. I love this place and their business model so I tend to go quite a bit. They have unlimited toppings for the same price and you can make it into a salad as well. Its less than $8 for a Mod pizza or salad that you customize. Plenty for leftovers if you aren't starving. Everyone has always been friendly and as I mentioned before I love the concept. Check out their website and see how they feel about second chances. I love this place read more

My first of many visits to MOD. The first thing you notice when you walk in is a clean restaurant with a nice layout and staff that enjoys what they do. The order process was great, they prepare the pizza right in front of you with fresh ingredients. The pizza was awesome. Give this place a try, you will love it. read more

After volunteering at the nearby PetSmart adoption event, I finally gave Dave's Hot Chicken a try…read more-- glad to see they opened in Olathe! I went with Dave's #2 (two sliders + fries) and picked the Hot spice level (two below Reaper). The heat was perfect -- enough to make my mouth tingle without punishing me. Tempted to try "Extra Hot," but maybe those days were for my younger, non-acid reflux self. The sliders came stacked with juicy pickles, crunchy slaw, and Dave's sauce on a soft potato bun. The chicken strips themselves were big -- not the measly ones you sometimes see -- and definitely worthy of being turned into a juicy, satisfying slider. Quality ingredients must make a big difference. I ate here with my family (fast and low-stress, surprising for a pizza experience for me!) and I didn't feel bad after eating a whole pizza! Usually I would need a nap after a trip to some other pizza place for a quick lunch, but I think getting more fresh roasted vegetables, thin crust, and less bulky meats and cheeses helped me stay alert when I said goodbye to the family and headed back to work.
