Continues to be hit or miss on quality of the food, baking/cooking varies considerably which leads to a different dining experience each time. Some of the staff are so sweet! I love how casual the atmosphere is and I truly feel like everyone is welcome. read more

Tell ya what...waiting another 25min for our order (50min total)...only to find out it's been sitting there for 10min. This is the kind of stuff that makes you take your business elsewhere. Good food. I love their pizza and salads. This location is always dirty. There was plenty of staff staring at the walls. Someone could have grabbed a broom and I didn't see much for wiping things down. The service was a little odd. I don't why they brought out a pizza with no plates. Another server was kind enough to get them when asked. Nice kids. Maybe they just need a better example of cleaning protocols. read more

The servers were friendly and the food was very good! The menu is diverse and pretty customizable so you can be inspired to choose from a wide range of flavors. I ordered the Mediterranean calzone and it was amazing, especially when dipped in honey! My only criticism is there are a lot of TVs. read more

Doesn't look like much when you stop by but very pleasantly surprised. Great pizza, I couldn't stop eating it until it disappeared

My family ordered the Caesar Salad, Prime cut gluten free pizza, mozzarella cheese sticks.... And all I came away with a pic of was the pizza.... Ha! We were with our soccer team after two big games so the girls were hungry! This place is just across from Embassy Suites and the Garmin soccer complex so a fantastic stop for teams after the tournament games are over. It was comfortable and relaxing and a great place to watch the final four game. We will be back next tournament! read more

i like Minsky's Pizza, but the quality of their pizzas vary, appearing to change based on who prepares it for the oven. But, I still like it better than most other pizza restaurants. The thing that made me want to review Minsky's today is the new AI order taker on the phone-in line. I like to order my pizza ahead of getting there so it will be ready to eat when I get there. I can't do it that way with the new AI assistant. It wanted me to pick it up, and then it arbitrarily added a chocolate chip cookie. I just decided to wait to order it until I got there. Oh well. I guess this is a trivial issue, but I wanted them to know. read more

Headed home from nearby golf course & wanted to eat dinner. I knew there were some restaurants in this area & once I saw the Minsky's sign...my mouth started to water thinking about a delicious piece of pie. I love that they offer Mr Pibb and have a full bar. We took advantage of the Monday 20% off a large gourmet pizza. The jumbo combo had a good mix of veggies & meat. Our pizza came out in faster than i expected. The first bite was just as a dreamed it would be...hot, cheesy, chewy and so flavorful. I had to refrain from eating half of the pizza as I would have been stuffed. Are you ready! Minsky's is average. You are here for the food so let's talk about it first. I orders a medium margarita pizza with chicken added (pictured bellow) to-go. Upon initial inspection, the pizza looked good. The tomatoes were slightly undercooked but it was no concern. Now for taste! The cheese was chewy, the pizza dough was mildly undercooked and the pizza itself was very under seasoned. To be quite frank, I was slightly disappointed. However, the pizza was very well portioned, and that's a positive. Now let's talk about my experience. I arrived at one of the locations near me 30 min before closing time. The staff was in the process of cleaning so perhaps that's the reason it took us a few minutes to get some service. The service member was very professional in taking our order and that's always great. After our order was made, I sat and enjoyed a game on one of their TVs. It took roughly 15 min to receive my order, pretty speedy service! Don't get me wrong if you are looking for a abundance of toppings, they have you covered. If you are looking for large fillings portions they are definitely the place for you. Taste wise, I unfortunately would not recommend this restaurant. Props on the quality service! read more

We have gone to this Minsky's for a number of years. We love the restaurant and the people that work here. My only negative is a new GM is in charge and he decided the music and sound need to be louder. it is very disturbing and ruins the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is difficult to carry on a conversation. read more

The food and service is always great. The pizza is the best in town, salads are always fresh. I really like the jumbo wings, too.

If you are able to avoid the epic soccer tournament crowd (not a huge effect, really) that's good. DO NOT order delivery! We have tried a couple of times, only to have a cold starch disc arrive after over and hour and a half wait. The driver, both times brought it to our door in the cardboard box--no insulated carrier--and the outside temps were in the 20s. Really slow and not at all thoughtful. The pizza is great though, worth getting in your car to eat in or carry out. Check for current specials to see if there are any before you head out. read more

When I spend this much on pizza, I expect higher quality. The original deep dish tasted like a cheap Pizza Hut knockoff. The new crab Rangoon pizza is okay, but mine came smashed on one side like the pizza box was dropped. I was familiar with Minskys from my time living in Lawrence and it was always my favorite pizza in town. Their ingredients are always fresh and they put plenty of cheese and homemade sauce on their pizzas. This was my first time trying out the Olathe location. I was a tad disappointed that they do not deliver to my house over by lake Olathe yet they deliver to Cedar Creek neighborhood, which is essentially the same drive. That did not stop me, however, as I decided to get some good pizza. As always, the food lives up to its self proclaimed "best in Kansas City" title. We ordered a pepperoni and black olive pizza. There was no shortage of cheese, sauce, or toppings. In fact, they put so many olives in there that they were falling off the slices. This was much appreciated. We also ordered their garlic, bacon, and mozzarella knots and these were the absolute show stopper. Plenty of melted cheese, perfect dough, plenty of fresh garlic as I could taste the crunch when I bit into them. The bacon inside these was the most impressive part. This was not some pre-packed bacon bits, it was cut up chunks of freshly cooked bacon. Will be ordering this for sure next time. I do have to say their prices reflect the quality so expect to pay near $20 a pizza and you won't find the same deals like you do from the chains. The price is worth it even if we do not get this pizza every time. I would order more if they offered more competitive prices. All in all this place is a must try if you have never been before. Long time KC favorite. Their menu has expanded to include dietary friendly items like cauliflower crusts. We bought four pies for a Chiefs watch party. Delivery was on time and pizzas were hot. The crowd favorite is the Prime slice which is different meats. BBQ chicken is always good. read more

First time at a Minsky's was today in Shawnee. I ordered a custom pizza. I only ate 3 pieces but didn't find a pepperoni and the hamburger was almost completely absent. I also had to verify my order to see if I checked the "no sauce" or "extra sauce". I did check "extra sauce" but their was almost no sauce. Won't be going back. read more

Minsky's has some of the BEST pizza in the Kansas City area. This Olathe store is one of, if not THE, newest location. And Minsky's didn't disappoint. I have had several items from their menu here, but I would highly recommend their Jumbo Combo pizza. Pepperoni, sausage, onion, black olives, bell pepper, lots of cheese... this pizza is HUGE. I tend to get a half Jumbo Combo and half Mushroom on thin crust. They aren't cheap, but neither are the ingredients. Always great service, on the phone or dine-in. Met a friend for dinner at 6:30 on a Wednesday and as expected the dining room was not terribly busy. 1/2 priced bottles of wine on Wednesday so we shared a bottle of Malbec and a cream cheese pesto app. The app was delicious. Then got the thai chicken pizza. It was just ok. Honestly the thai chicken pizza from Papa Murphys is so much better. The only other pizza place that I ever go eat at in person is Old Shawnee Pizza and I think this is just not as good but its not bad. read more

My dine-in lunch special (M-F 11AM-2PM $7.49) included a large slice of pizza, a salad, and a drink. The salad was served with a smile in five minutes. It was somewhat small, but the veggies were fresh and cool, and it came with a tasty bread stick. The combo pizza slice was served seven minutes after the salad. It was delicious, with plenty of tasty toppings, delicious cheese, and a very good crust. The service was top notch (welcoming, cheerful, helpful, and attentive), while the dining area was clean and new, with a full bar, many TVs, and lively background music. I also noticed an event room with four TVs and a projector. This location has daily specials, in addition to the weekday lunch special. Overall, very nice. read more

LOVE this pizza. And SO HAPPY there is a new one so close by. Friends really like the cauliflower crust! If you are new to KC area, you have to check out this chain. BUT do not expect a quick delivery service from this Ridgeview location. We have attempted delivery since they arrived here....THREE times. Each time the wait was LONG--one event three hours (my pizza was refunded). So, I waited two months to try delivery again --This past THURSDAY I ordered at 4:45.....I live 4 minutes from store (yes we usually pick it up, but it was a group-thing). Pizza finally arrived at 6:25.....I just don't get it (especially when Minsky's ticket was printed at 5:35 for delivery drivers.). The Lenexa location was ALWAYS on time (They get 5 stars!). Wish we could choose our delivery location! But still REALLY love pizza - so will continue to PICK UP TO-GO. read more

Messed up our pick-up order....ok, it happens. They don't tell us and we wait for over an hour as pizza after pizza is made for other customers. Employee comes over, apologizes, and said it will be all comped and they are finalizing our order...again, ok...nobody is perfect and they are busy. The order was for a specialty pizza and an appetizer. They obviously complete forgot the appetizer and then did nothing about it for an hour. We get the order and the pizza box is stone cold and the appetizer is steaming hot. Again, stuff happens. We get home, the pizza is wrong, stone cold, and the appetizers is not what we ordered. Then, they did not credit our bill. I waited several days and nothing. Sent email. Nothing. Called and talked to a manager who said he would take care of it and email me the credit...nothing. Better wait inside for it then (mine was left for 15 mins.....in a delivery bag (?) ........while I waited outside in my car). Got an issue with the piss poor, "I guess I'll help, if I have to" service from the staff? Don't bother trying to talk to their manager. Apparently, upset customers aren't something worthy of their attention (even though he sat at the bar and saw what was happening 20' away, right in front of him). Minskis may make good food, but the service and attitude of the people at this store absolutely SUCK! My advice: Go to College & Pflumm or 151st instead.
