Decided to come here for lunch bad idea, the parking lot was extremely full with no where to park. I must've just missed the lunch rush instead because when I arrived inside it was no one in there. Once I got to the counter to place my order, the young lady who took my order appeared to be in a rush and very impatient. The Detroit Style Pizza supreme with no meat and a Caesar salad is what I decided to go with. Caesar salad 7/10 lettuce could've been fresher . Pizza I give a 5/10 the crust, sauce and veggies were good, however the pizza was not fully cooked. It was very doughy, I was pressed for time so I did not have to wait for them to recook it. When I got home I recooked out and it tasted wonderful. I will give this place another try just at a different location.

The food was really good. My daughter said, "we need to come here more often" so you all will be seeing us again. We were greeted upon coming in by a manager I believe. I do think the cashier could have been friendlier but what she lacked our waiter made up for. He was very friendly. Good family friendly atmosphere.

Every single time.... Oh Spin how I love thee. Your team at this location are wonderful, the food amazing, and I love that it's just casual enough for me to feel that I can walk in on any given day and not feel judged. Dressed up or down, I pop in because they never look at me any different. Keep up the great work and serving up the awesome food.

Let me start by saying that we do enjoy Spin. Because we do, we decided to try the Detroit style pizza. We also had meatballs and tomato basil soup. The meatballs were just okay. The soup was very much like red water. No salt, no flavor... you could barely taste any basil. The pizza, however, was the biggest disappointment. It was burned in places, very little flavor. Actually, quite boring. The worst part was that this 12" pizza had 6 (3"x3") pieces. And it was $30. It will be a long time before we go back after this most disappointment and expensive meal ($50).

I like Spin Pizza, but the quality is inconsistent. Tonight's pizza was burnt - the pepperoni and crust. Disappointing..... the crust just broke off bc it was so burnt and the pepperoni tasted burnt :((

My friends + I were eager to have a girls night out dinner that was classy but easy! We chose spin pizza and it is one of the best picks for a catch up dinner!! When you walk in there is a large menu where you can glance at their selection of wines, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, etc.! Everything on the menu seems to have a special 'spin' to the dish, making it a little more elegant and fancy dining. I stick to traditional choices when I come here, so I ordered a 3 meat pizza and a caesar salad! To place your order, you checkout at the front register, where they give you a number to take with you wherever you would like to be seated! We came during a busy time (6:30pm) and we did not have trouble finding a spot for our small group to sit! Servers are constantly moving around to fill up drinks + make sure everything is tasting okay! I genuinely enjoy my time + meal every time I visit and no matter the location!

The food is always TOP NOTCH at Spin! It'll keep me coming back again and again. The service, unfortunately, was not the best this time. I know it has been in the 90s this week, but the patio seating had been grossly neglected previously. I wiped my hand on the table prior to sitting, and I kid you not, it was BLACK. Eww. When I asked for it to be wiped down, I received a huff and a puff and as he came back with his cloth and spray, I figured he would spray the cloth and then wipe the table. But no. He quickly sprayed the table 3-5 times, which misted right up into our faces. I even tasted it. Ummmmmm..... yuck. We rarely saw our server, and on a 95 degree day, we needed some water. I did have to ask once or twice for that. But seriously, other than those elements of poor service, Spin is one of my favorite places for get togethers. The Quinoa Chicken Mango Summer Salad was phenomenal. It was delicious!! Highly recommended!!

I've never had a bad experience here. I love the gluten free and dairy free options for pizza. Absolutely love the salad selection. They have great topping options, and the dressing are delicious and unique (blood orange vinaigrette, etc). We prefer to dine in, as we like the pizza right out of the oven. Great craft pizza place to grab a drink and watch sports, while snacking on great pizza and salads. Will have to check out the soups and sandwiches next time.

Good experience! The people working there were really nice. Pizza and salad was good. Good quality ingredients and nice taste. I also very much enjoyed the gelato. Got a bit loud after more people started coming for late lunch. But it was spacious inside and I didn't feel crowded. I would return and I would recommend it.

Dude... this pizza is the BOMB!!! Ugh I want to eat 10 more!!! Came here close to closing time with my husband and grabbed a couple pizzas to go.. I had the gluten free Spinach and Garlic pizza and I added tomatoes, basil and POTATOES!!! Yaaassss!! My husband had the Chicken Pesto pizza add caramelized onions and he absolutely loved his too! I also got a yummy blood orange sangria to top it off. The only thing I wish is that they opened early so I could get another one this morning before I leave town lol! We'll be back!!

    Take away!

We were 10 minutes early for our 5:30 pickup. They were fifteen minutes late. FPO and I saw a lot of people going in and out with take out so we figured they were probably just busy. But, we had to call the number on their board twice before they brought out the food. Pizza boxes were cold to the touch, like they'd been sitting for some time. So were the pizzas when we got them home. The salads were okay. I liked the Sonoma salad but the Chicken and Goat Cheese pizza was meh. Maybe this experience was colored by the fact that we're in a pandemic and the food is better when you dine in. I don't know. Would I try this place again? Doubtful.

The Moderno salad -- with cherries, cured beef, pine nuts, and goat cheese -- was flavorful, though the espresso vinaigrette unfortunately tasted more like straight vinegar than espresso. I had the short rib bolognese and it was absolutely delicious. Others at the table ordered the Funghi pasta with creamy white sauce, which was good but could have used a bit more mushroom flavor. The Toscana chicken breast (bone-in) with sun-dried tomato sauce had that perfect "marry me" flavor -- rich and satisfying. For dessert, we had the Plate chocolate cake with raspberry and pistachios. It was a huge slice, with a rich chocolate flavor. So why not five stars? Despite having reservations, we were seated right by the kitchen where servers pick up food. Made more annoying because the restaurant had a lot of empty booths and tables in the main dining room. The upside was that the pizza ovens kept us warm, but it wasn't the most relaxing spot. There were also a couple billing issues: the tip was calculated on the post-tax total rather than pre-tax. Also our prix fixe dinners included dessert and we opted to upgrade to a different dessert from the menu. Oddly the up-charge was $6, even though the menu price difference was only $3. That said, Plate offers delicious, well-priced food (though the drinks are on the expensive side), and it's still a great choice for Italian food in Kansas City

Food-wise, I had the Spaghetti & Wagyu Beef Meatball, and our table also got the lasagna and chicken parm. Everything was good and everyone was happy, but for the price (about double most other Italian chains), nobody was really blown away... until dessert. Between the crème brûlée and tiramisu, the entire table agreed that was the standout part of the meal. They were slammed when we went and we had a few service changes because of the rush. Getting drinks and putting our order in took longer than usual, but once we had a consistent server, it was all good. Busy nights happen. They also did a solid job keeping everything clean even during the chaos, and the restaurant itself is really beautiful. I'll be back, but I'm probably coming back just for the crème brûlée. The food was good, it just felt pricey for not having anything that really stood out in portion or flavor for my whole family. I had multiple family members in my party who've eaten here a lot tell me it tastes noticeably different than it used to. They said they've mentioned it to management before and were told changes were made to cut costs, and honestly, it shows in quality unfortunately. They don't plan to come back because of that, but I'll happily return for dessert.

It's been a minute since my last visit, and I'm thrilled to report that absolutely nothing has changed... and for once, that's actually a compliment. Round 1: The Liquid Diet Naturally, I kicked off my personal Tour of Italy with a couple of custom cocktails. The Elegant Marguerite: Fantastic, but don't let the name fool you. This "elegant" drink has a dark side and can cause a first round knockout. Proceed with caution. The Limoncellotini: Hands down, the absolute star of the show. Sweet, smooth, and hit every single note on the playlist. Pure perfection. Phase 2: The Carbs & Carnage Next up was the appetizer round. I went with the Calamari Fritta, served with a classic marinara and a seriously impressive pesto-style sauce. The calamari itself was light, airy, and practically melted in my mouth. For the main event, I ordered their specialty: Chicken Vincenzo. We're talking lightly breaded chicken with mushrooms, garlic, and herbs and one heck of a flavorful sauce, side-chicked by a plentiful portion of linguine. The pasta was a masterclass in al dente, and this lived up to the hype. The Service & The Happy accident. Our server was fantastic--actually took the time to pour our drinks tableside and drop some stellar meal recommendations. The place was also impeccably clean, as you'd expect. But the real test of a great restaurant is how they handle a hiccup. One of our friends ordered the eggplant parm, but the kitchen accidentally sent out chicken parm instead. Now, they absolutely would have bent over backwards to replace it, but the chicken looked so darn good they just went with it anyway. When a mistake tastes that good, you know the kitchen isn't messing around. 10/10. Will be back to get hammered by that Marguerite again.
