I think this our new favorite pizza spot! The pizza is always on point made from the freshest ingredients and cooked up nice and hot fresh for every visit! The cleanliness of the venuee is hit or miss sometimes... the tables and drink bar area could be checked and cleaned more often to ensure a cleanliness but it's not terrible. The service is fairly quick, although this time the girl helping with our order must have been new and was very quiet and we had a hard time hearing her, especially my husband who had to ask a few times to speak up (which she did not). This MOD location is consistently amazing. I picked up a salad and pizza 2 nights ago after ordering on the app on my way home from work late that night. I arrived and it was ready as expected, the gentleman working the pick up area was amazing .. super friendly knew right where my order was and accommodated a last minute request for a cup of pesto (I forgot to add it on my order.) When I got home I opened everything up and it was as expected and as requested. Let me find out that MOD pizza is where you need to be on the weekends! This place was jam packed with people and their families. Service was quick as you can see the line just moving through. Pizza here is always delicious. I was a little taken back though. No one at this location wears masks and as pizza orders are being called out, you can literally see the spit speckling onto the food as they call names. I became nervous and didn't order, but my friends did. Everyone seemed happy to work there, but I think management should look into some of their employees wearing some protective gear so spit (even though it's unintentional) is not landing on the pizza. Surprisingly I really like MOD Pizza, at least at this location. The crust is always cooked perfectly with it being crispy and soft at the same time. They have so many options of sauces, cheeses, and other toppings. The ingredients that they use are super fresh and they put them on perfectly so that the pizza is balanced all throughout. I usually get it to go but they have a super spacious dining area, fountain drinks, and a few beer and wine options. A good quick pizza with a solid beer is all you need sometimes. It does get busy sometimes but they do their best. Most recently, I was waiting for a mobile order that ended being a bit behind but I was offered a free drink while I waited which I appreciate very much! I got the lemonade and it was a solid lemonade that had a great balance of sweet and tart. First of all , the staff are so nice & helpful , my boyfriend & I shared an 11" inch pizza and allowed us to slit it in half , half of whatever he wanted & half of what i wanted. We got one pizza & two drinks , a whole meal for 2 for less than $20 ! As someone who's gluten free due to allergy I'm rather upset with how the food is handled. the person in front of mines order was flour and everything including the person who makes its gloves had flour on it, the person dipped the flour covered gloves into all of the bins with the ingredients in it and then when it came to mine the person wanted to use the same things that touched the flour beforehand when asked to get mine made with ingredients that hadn't been touched by the flour they made it seem like a very large deal and had a lot of attitude. I had never heard of this place until I moved to San Antonio. I was hesitant to try it because I'm more of a homemade pizza type of person BUT I was so glad that we tried this place. I'm obsessed with the crust. I was worried it would be crunchy thin crust just by looking at it, but it was thick, chewy, and had that nice char taste on the bottom. They definitely don't skimp you on toppings, or sauce. I will admit though that I felt like they held back a little bit on the dairy free cheese but over all the flavors were there. Their spicy tomato sauce was actually spicy which makes someone like me happy who loves spicy things. You choose the size and whether or not you want to order from the list or make your own. Either way, you can customize it to your taste. The salad is a different blend of lettuce and very crisp. The food itself was still good, except for the fact that I found s a hair in my pizza. "Luckily", it was just after I had finished the first piece and not just about the whole pizza. The main thing that concerns me is that the staff apologized and made me a new pizza (hair free this time), but that's about all they did. I feel they could have done more to make up for this occurrence. They were all pretty young and maybe they don't have the "know it all" or authority to do more, but I definitely left with a much less enjoyable experience than last time.
