We arrived right when they opened and they greeted us and were attentive right away. There's plenty of parking outside. We are a variety of pizzas and enjoyed every single one. We also enjoyed the artichoke appetizer dish. At the end, we ordered the vanilla pudding, which was kind of just your average pudding, but it was still decent. When we visit or order from home it always comes out as expected. Sometimes a bit pricy but that's ok for really good food!

Take out experience was so much better this time and I wish I remember the name of the staff who was so helpful and for my order. I had half and half Detroit and cheese personal size to take home for the first meal I had for the day (it was already past 2pm and I was famished!) clean and less crowded so it wasn't too loud which I preferred. I am from Michigan so we had been looking for a Detroit style pizza. The edges of the Detroit style were done correctly and we liked the little pepperonis we used. The red sauce was extremely acidic but overall good. The bar style pizza wasn't as thin as it should be and we asked for double cut which we didn't get. Ordered broccoli but later they came out and told us they didn't have any so we got cheese bread instead which ended up being good. We had always driven by and promised to check it out. Well, we finally did and I'm kicking myself for not going sooner! This pizza is delicious! The staff is super friendly and just so happy to answer any questions. It truly is a hidden gem. It started as a food truck and quickly grew to 3 locations in San Antonio. One off 1604 close to Culebra, one in the Medical Center and the third at the Rim. The atmosphere is so chill and casual. We started with a Cesar salad I don't recall if it was a small or large, but it was fresh and full of flavor. Definitely enough for 2 to share. The Detroit style pizza has a thick pan-style crust super cheesy, generous toppings with the sauce on top. Described as thick like lasagna, so a small is filling. We did share the carnivore. At the end of the meal, our server brought us complimentary cinnamon sticks. They were so good. Even not doing so, I was already sold. We will definitely be coming back. read more

The sausage was fantastic but the flavor got lost in the style of pizza with the crusty cheese. Light sauce, which was a plus. Good amount of cheese. Overall a lackluster flavorless pizza. We've ordered delivery a few times and it's been absolutely amazing. Every kind of pizza has been top notch. The Cadillac is the perfect sweet and savory flavor combo. Just recently we tried the Pepperoni BAR pizza and my husband said it was his favorite he's had in San Antonio so far. We also ordered cinnastix and they are better than any other we've ever had. Favorite pizza spot in San Antonio for sure! As far as service and ambiance, Ive not been in person but the location is decent and it looks nice from the outside. Ambiance is good. We got served quickly. I had a margarita and a Negroni and both were stout! The pizza is so good, so saucy, perfect crust and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. As we walked in I noticed there was some outdoor seating along with the availability on the inside. They have a full service bar and the drink I had was pretty good. The meatballs and pizza were very good. I was disappointed with the table/booth, the floor was extremely dirty and slippery and when I mentioned it to the server she just brought us a couple of towels to clean it up ourselves. I've passed this place a few times and wanted to give it a shot without knowing anything about it is Detroit style pizza but they do have options for thin pizza as well so if you don't know, Detroit style pizza is a thicker crust. the inside was a nice place reminding me of a pizza parlor kind of feel. They have a bar there if you wanna have some drinks. The waitress was super nice. Even the guy who came to deliver the pizza I believe was a chef super nice. We got the Detroiter which the waitress said is the most popular pizza and a good way to start for your first . The pepperoni was really good. You can tell it wasn't just some random type of pepperoni. Having a little bit of marinara on top definitely hit the spot. They threw in a complementary cinnamon bars pizza. First time here for lunch. Place was clean, little dim for time of day, not horrible. Service was friendly and quick. Food was pretty good. The salad was a big portion for it being a small size. No wilted lettuce and croutons were nice and crisp. Pizza was great as well. I got the funkadelic chicken. Gorgonzola was not overwhelming. I liked that the edge was crispy with cheese. It's a 12 inch pizza and I think it's enough for 2 people if you get a salad or appetizer. I would definitely return to try their signature pizzas. read more

First time here and these margaritas did not disappoint. It was margarita day so we decided to stop by and why we were there tried the cinnamon sticks. They were delicious and they came out warm so when you bit into them they would melt in your mouth. Our bartender was super nice and courteous. Simply put and the BLUF - this is really good pizza. Detroit style was new to me and I really enjoyed it. We had two pizzas and a couple of appetizers. The selection of pizzas is not just good but unique. Go Carnivore or whatever their supreme is. I had that before but tonight ordered the Ambassador. It reads like it's Lasagna on pizza but it isn't. Good but not my favorite. My daughters ordered the cinnamon sticks - it's the best damn cinnamon thing I've ever had. Better than Cinnabon! Truly. Added vanilla ice cream too. This is one of our "go to" lunch spots. Via 313 offers delicious deep dish pizza and extremely fresh salads. We learned today that they even make all their dough and cheese from scratch. The staff is always super friendly. My favorite is the cheese pizza but the Detroit is a close second. They have a lunch special that gives you two slices of pizza (which are square deep dish), salad and soft drink for around $14 (it might be slightly less, I can't remember). They have a full bar and a fun seasonal drink menu. They have about 8 or so beers on tap. It's never terribly busy at lunchtime, so this is a perfect spot if you are limited on time. read more

It's been awhile since I've had a good Detroit style pizza! Via 313 is one of my sister favorite go to restaurants! I am a fan of the crispy edges and that's pretty much it after one square I was stuffed! The pizza here is super heavy and filling! You will leave here with a full belly! I prefer my Detroit style pizzas saucey! Theses did not have as much sauce on them as I would like, maybe I'll ask for additional sauce next time. I do understand that how it's originally supposed to be made. The artichoke dip is super delicious one of my favorites! I believe The Superman ice cream was a basic vanilla ice cream. I'm not sure, my kid devoured it. We definitely had plenty of left over pizza. When they say a large feeds 3-4 people. They mean it lol. The service here was good! Our sever was very attentive! As Metro Detroiters, we were ready to scrutinize this place up and down. San Antonio has garbage pizza... but Via 313 does not. Service was very friendly and inviting. They know the Detroit style pizza isn't well known down here and they were happy to explain it. Lots of good drinks to choose from including FAYGO! So happy to see Faygo down here. Please, everyone needs to try it. Even better, they had Superman ice cream. Unfortunately, I'm dairy free so if they come up with a dairy free version, I'll gobble it down. They had a good drink menu, but we didn't get any alcoholic drinks. Pizza was very reminiscent of Buddy's pizza , it definitely has the doughy/bready texture, but it's not so thick that it's overwhelming. Crust has the signature crunch you'd get in Michigan pizza. ALSO, for my lactose intolerant people, they have dairy free cheese I was so happy. I was very prepared to get a salad, but then I saw dairy free cheese and was so happy I got to try the pizza. I will say, I'm not sure where the pizza sauce on top comes from, maybe it's more traditional? You won't get that normally from pizza shops around metro Detroit, it's typically under the cheese. Maybe it's a way for them to get the Chicago people on board the Detroit style train. I don't hate it, still tasty, just not typical. We also got an order of the cinnamon sticks. Super tasty, and they taste like if the Little Caesar's cinnamon sticks had better crust on them. Overall, very happy and impressed in the attempt to bring Detroit pizza to the south. San Antonio needs more good pizza spots! Also, love the play on The WRIF logo t-shirts, we had a giggle at that. Note to the owners: in Oakland county, MI, there's a delicious cheese dip you can get at local pizza chains that would be BOMB to add to this menu. It's kinda like cream cheese with garlic salt, and maybe a bit of oil. Sounds simple, but it's so good. First Time Customer Perspective: We went here during the hail-Friday in San Antonio so the place was a little pack. The place was nice, have outside and inside sitting, and they also have bar sitting available. Staff from the entrance to delivering our orders was fantastic. Because of the number of people we were advised of 40 mins wait for the pizza. So we ordered an appetizer which I love so much. The marinara of the meatballs was just so good that we asked for more crostini. While the pizza did not really took 40mins few minutes after we finished our appetizer the pizza has been served. The food was just so fresh. Since I am more used to with Italian and NY Pizza, this place gives a different experience . Overall it was a good experience and we will surely come back again. read more
