Half pepperoni and pineapples half sausage and Canadian bacon

This is my second time here. It's been years but wanted to take my family to big Lou's for the big pizza experience. We were seated promptly which was shocking because they were so busy on a Friday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had lots of seating and able to accommodate my party of 5.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started out with lemon paper wings. They were big and meaty with plenty of flavor. The show stopper was the pizza. We did half and half and got the 37 inch. It was super intimidating but fun as a family to try. The slices were huge. We had to box most of it up definitely worth trying If in San Antonio

What can I say about Big Lou's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well, this place is a great place to bring your kids to see a big ass pizza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The parking lot is pretty big, they have indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wait does get long sometimes. We were lucky to have a party cancel in front of us, so we got to sit inside. Two bars, and the bartenders are super cool. We ended up ordering wings and a 20" pizza. There was also larger pizza ordered as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of TVs on with sports and shows on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of space to sit, for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is definitely the type of place you go for the atmosphere and the gimmick of the oversized pizzas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a fun a lively type of place that people go for various celebrations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is questionable at best on a weekend when things get busy. The pizza isn't bad; but I can't imagine that anyone is coming here because they just love the pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Either way it was a fun spot to celebrate[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food was delicious. Fresh ingredients and made with love and care. I've never been to a restaurant where you can order all traditional wing flats but this one gives their customers what they want. Our waiter was so attentive and noticed everything. That's always ideal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is family oriented yet date night as well. Sports Bar meets family restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend and will be back.

Our server Stephanie was great. Gave good recommendations. She was fast and friendly. The pizza was perfect very flavorful. The wings had great crispy texture with perfect seay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was busy but the had lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sometimes you have to wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has lots of TV's everywhere to watch whatever sport you want.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A flat pizza

Pizza was good. However, very paper thin for my taste. I have had crackers thicker than this pizza bread. You would have thought I ordered a flatbread pizza. I ordered extra cheese and it was just a normal cheese pepperoni pizza. Wont be coming back.

Everything was delicious at Big Lou's. I hadn't been there in probably 20 years. I really was impressed with their cheesy breadsticks. They were so fresh and hot but the marinara sauce was just as delicious , the sausage pizza didn't have much flavor, but the pepperoni pizza was really good and the beer was served in an ice cold mug. It was cold and delicious.

My sister picked out this place at random. We were planning on having a pizza night and Big Lou's pizza is what we agreed on. First time coming here great service everyone was super friendly and polite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself looks so nice cool lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From what I saw they're super large pizzas seem to be pretty popular those things are humongous! Very cool we got the chicken Alfredo pasta 5 drinks and a custom 14" pizza perfect for a family of 5. And as for desserts they had a variety of cakes my absolute favorite was the cheesecake. Thank you for a great experience can't wait to come back again. Oh! And shout out to our server ! He was very patient and helpful to us thanks!

Desert cart!

Wow! We were looking for pizza. This was the 3rd place we stopped at to get a pie. The first place was closed, the second place was not what we were looking for so we landed heard. Third time is a charm! This restaurant was so much more than expected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is eclectic and so are the staff and customers![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a wonderful waitress who was attentive and had great suggestions. Also have you ever seen a desert cart in a pizza joint? Well they have one and I advised grabbing something off of it . Second they taken pictures of their customers and I loved this! BUT the main reason is for the food, the food was wonderful. They also have a 72 inch pizza. Crazy! We had the two topping cheese bread with pepperoni wine and a cucumber martini. Four stars- we also took home a cheese pizza, white pizza, mango habanero chicken wings and a salad. We had enough food to feed an army. Price is more than reasonable! Highly recommend for a fun evening with great people and food.

Great find. Easy access from main road. Big place with large private parking lot that fills up quickly Ppl even parked in front on the road Hard to get inside for a table Order 3 pizzas and they are great Sausage has a kick to it but good Their gluten free substitute is cauliflower crust which was excellent and a small extra charge Reasonable prices No reservations unless you have a party of 20 or more

The pizza is tasty, thin, and enough for a large group. The food takes a while to come out. I had a side salad and it was enough to share.

Do they still have the 62 inch pizzas?

They are hoping to bring them back soon

Do they have vegan options?

They have limited vegan options. They do have salads and pasta dishes available. Best to check their website to see if they have items that fit your eating preference. I do not believe that they serve Califlour crust pizza, but suggest you…

Quick question. are there any vegan options besides a salad?

Stop it. Just stop it.

What comes with the cheese lasagne?

Breadsticks and side salad

When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. I had to wait a bit of extra time after arriving, but everyone was nice and helpful. The one main issue I had was that I ordered a salad to-go, and I was told that they were out of to-go utensils. I was unable to secure utensils on my own where I work, so, they were able to locate some in the back. I went back a couple days later for convenience and again, they were out of utensils for to-go orders which seems wild. They also messed up the dressing for my salad order on of the trips The restaurant is identical to most every other Plucker's restaurants. I never dined in, but there seemed to be plenty of open tables and seating at the bar during the lunch rush. There is also covered patio seating I would typically order wings, but I had to eat out all week because I was on a work trip and I wanted to be "healthy" ish. The salads were tasty, and I would recommend them Some tips: I would definitely order ahead if you want takeaway They also have a rewards programs that give you freebies, discounts, and unique perks. The only downside is that you have to pay to be apart of the rewards programs (annually). Ask your server for more details Cheers!!

We did not expect it to be within the old neighborhood of San Antonio, nor on the corner of a gas station. But as we got out, I started to understand why this place was truly loved. They have discounts for veterans, students, and a couple more groups of people I can't remember off the top of my head. They aim to serve their community within the area, offering multiple specials, and opportunities to make their food affordable. It's cheap, sure, but is it worth the wait? I'd say so. We may not have gotten our food under 30 minutes, but by god was it fresh. The lemonade was sweet and representative of a family reunion cook out. If the quality of what they served wasn't indicative of the amount of people that parked and walked up to order some food, it would be my order of catfish nuggets with their sauce, fries, and their large lemonade. They serve catfish, tilapia, and chicken as you'd expect. You can get poppers (also great) and multiple sides, but I say all of this with praise that with your chicken, your fish - it comes with fries. Best part about waiting was observing the community and watching FIFA. Just be sure you pay attention to the area. Highly recommend, though be decent unless provoked, and watch out for the unsavory types looking at your cars. We had one rando walk out and then walk back to their car after doing so to ours... overall, very interesting, and worth their prices. Staff was friendly, and the food was delicious.

That's how I ended up trying Anthony Fish & Chicken, and honestly it turned out better than expected. The restaurant is located on the east side of San Antonio, which happens to be the area I grew up in. Some people who aren't familiar with the area might consider it a little rough, but in my experience those neighborhoods often have some of the best food in the city. I called in my order and was quoted about 25 minutes. It took a little longer than that, but it wasn't a problem. When I pulled up there were a grip of cars waiting for food, so clearly the place stays busy. One thing to know if it's your first time: if you don't call ahead, you order at the window. I accidentally tried going inside at first and was told they were serving through the window only, which was fair enough. I ordered the 15-piece lemon pepper chicken, which came with fries and two slices of bread. We also grabbed steak nachos at the last minute, and those didn't even make it home because they got demolished in the car. They were loaded with toppings and I'm pretty sure they used Doritos for the chips, which added extra flavor. The chicken itself was excellent. Crispy, fresh, and clearly made to order. The legs and thighs were seasoned well and the portion size was generous. A 15-piece could easily feed a small family of three or four. Between the nachos and a couple sides we made at home, it actually ended up feeding five people comfortably. The crinkle cut fries were also solid and had a nice seasoning on them, and the hot sauce they give with the chicken paired really well. When I arrived there were a grip of cars waiting, and after trying the food I understand why. Compared to my number one fried chicken spot, Chatman's Chicken, this place honestly holds its own. The chicken here is crispy, fresh, and flavorful all the way through. Another thing I appreciated was the value. I've seen places around San Antonio charging close to $20 for a simple three-piece meal, and the food doesn't even come close to this quality. Here the portions and price felt much more reasonable. Anthony's definitely has something going on. They have a solid menu with plenty of combos and options for a good price. Next time I'll probably try the wings because they looked great coming out of the kitchen. Overall this spot definitely satisfied my fried chicken craving. I'll be back again.

We assumed that meant it's like a bar and grill, not just a bar that happens to have a unassociated food window/kitchen at the back. We planned our first ever visit here after family day at the art museum, but the bar staff asked my husband and son to leave while I was trying to find parking (the lot next to the bar is privately owned and charges $19 for 4 hours). That isn't mentioned on their Google page or Facebook page, and on their Instagram, it isn't clear that it is 21+ all the time as it is written right after "late night." I went in on my own to order wings to go. The menu is not written anywhere, and isn't on the website (which would also be a convenient place to mention that anyone under 21 is not allowed on property), so the moved slowly as no one could figure out what they wanted until they reached the only ordering kiosk at the window. Maybe their flavors change frequently? A chalkboard or something would be nice. The wings were very reasonably priced and didn't take overly long. We took them up the road to someplace with picnic tables to eat--only to discover that one of the extra sauces was missing and another was wrong. It would also be helpful if they labeled the different flavors. Maybe it was an off night for the wings, but we didn't get the hype. I think this restaurant is suffering from being too successful too quickly and will hopefully find a way to scale up to accommodate its popularity. Maybe somewhere with menus and access for families. I would try it again at that point, but I can't see going through the inconvenience for their food until then.
